I’ve been here several times. This is the first time I ordered the moo shoo pork and it was selicios! It came with plum sauce and four homemade pancakes on the side so you can make them yourself. Absolutely delicious! I’ll be back soon.

Okay. This the second time back and the salt and pepper squid ROCKS! The new owners have outdone themselves. The waitstaff aims to please and so does the kitchen. I’ll drive from Mercer Island any day for the food! Good God Man!

The food is awesome! The environment is very clean and nice! Love the flower on each table, just a nice personal touch. The service is very good comparing a lot of the Chinese restaurants I have been. My top Chinese restaurant in downtown Kirkland!

Food was good and tastes pretty authentic but they did not get our order right, at all. We just ate everything because we didn’t want to be a hassle and it was still good but that’s why I’m only giving 3 stars. We ordered beef and broccoli but they gave us chicken and broccoli. We also didn’t even order general tsos chicken but they gave it to us and charged us. But hey, we were hungry and finished it off. Rice is extra. The best thing is their speed. It was insane how fast the food came. Probably less than 5 minutes! Overall, pretty tasty food and you probably can’t get more authentic given the area without going to Bellevue.

Now I’ve only been here once so far, but I can tell you that I’m very happy I found this place for when I visit up here for work. I initially really wanted to try the hotpot as this is now the second place I’ve been too in recent months that offers it. And yet again my plot was foiled to try it. I was a party of one and you have to have minimum of 2. So after crying briefly I asked the waitress what she recommends. And after discussing what things I like I mentioned I like fish she perked right up and pointed me to that of which I selected.(More about it in a bit) I had the spicy garlic pork belly appetizer and it was pretty good. But the magic happened when I had the diced fish with pickled peppers. This was to date the best Chinese food dish I’ve ever had. And ranks among the best seafood dishes I’ve had. Not sure what type of white fish it was but the sauce that they put it in and cook it up in along with the fresh veggies made this dish excellent. I also agree with others, they have the best Chinese donuts I’ve ever had. I will make this a place to stop every time I visit. The service was also super quick and friendly.

There is a new chef and a slightly new menu. — Shui Zhu Yu(Sichuan Boiled Fish)…UPDATE(Was 5*, but is now similar to most sichuan places in Bellevue — 3*) — Salt and Pepper Chicken… UPDATE(Still 4*) — Jjajangmyeon(Noodles in blackbean sauce)… UPDATE(No longer serve) All of the other new dishes we’ve tried have been 2 – 3.5*. Decent, but no longer worth the extra drive time unfortunately.

The new ownership took over in December with a fresh décor and a new menu specializing in Sichuan cuisine. We are extremely happy about the change not only because the food is so much better, but its very close by. There are many things on the menu that we have not run across in restaurants. Sichuan Style Spicy Crisp Squid was delicious and unique. Tender pieces of squid were battered and deep fried. Then, they were wokked with green beans, dried red chili and green onions. If you don’t eat any of the chilis, its not too spicy. The Eggplant, Potato, and String Bean was another dish we have not seen in a restaurant. Sauteed in a complex sauce, it was packed with great flavors. We wanted to try the Salt and Pepper Chicken so we got it on their lunch special. it was delicious. They tossed it with enough pieces of jalapenos, onions, and cilantro to include some with every piece of chicken. The only improvement I could suggest would be to use thigh meat instead of breast for more moistness. The Chinese Donuts are like the best beignets you’ll find in Seattle, and they are a bargain at $ 4.50.

Tasty food, excellent service. Free green tea. Chongqing fried chicken and fried rice is my favorite, goes well with beer!

They were very accommodating and attentive. Our experience with their hot pot was a good one. They brought out a lot of food after asking me for my personal preferences. I split a pot with a vegetarian and asked for a lot of veggies for him and they were happy to oblige. They even brought out separate utensils so that our non-veggies and broth wouldn’t mix. After a bad hot pot experience somewhere else, it was great to see my boyfriend finally enjoy a spicy vegetarian hot pot with a lot of options. We would have liked some rice with that hefty $ 18-per-person price tag, though.

They changed owner and menu totally changed… Chef as well. No more black bean paste noodles! Can’t call it a «Beijing» restaurant anymore :/ Last time had beef noodle soup, totally southerner style, meh, I’d rather go somewhere else.

Had an evening meal at this restaurant and ordered the hotpot half spicy and half regular broths. It was buffet style but not ‘help yourself’ service. Instead, they brought out the meats of your choice together with the rest of the ingredients. It was a massive mixed portion of veggies, seafoods(fish, prawns and squid) and noodles etc. Downsides are… not a lot of choices for the condiments and not serving beers. The restaurant is in a very good location in downtown Kirkland just off the Bus Transit Center. The place itself is clean and relatively has a good seating space. 3 stars given here because of the condiments and limited beverages. But will definitely go back and try more dishes.

Yummy!!! I love this place with my satisfied appetite and wallet. We discovered a relatively new salmon dish(forgot the official name, it is deep fried salmon with a special sauce). Taste crispy and tender, my favorite combo, :-) All-you-can-eat hot pot is as fantastic as usual. The hot pot is better than other place in town in my opinion. Why? The hot pot soup makes the difference. I tasted it as a traditional style slow cooked soup. With some herb’s flavor, thin slices of beef and lamb were an excellent compliment for the soup. Can’t help taking a few cups in my stuffed stomach…

We went there two days ago. I was expecting for an authentic Beijing hot pot but it is not the case. The hot pot is so so. Make sure they fix the heater because it is really cold without it. The hot pot has very limited meat and vegetables. The taste is also so so.

One of my absolute favorite places to eat in town. Their Mongolian beef is to die for. Edit: They changed owners and that caused them to change the menu and multiple recipes for what seems like no logical reason. Not a fan anymore.

Parking was convenient and free, the restaurant was clean, and the staff was pleasant; that’s about the only good things I have to say Prices were not particularly cheap. The food was salty — especially the Singapore noodles, which were painfully salty.

My very first review WAS5 stars easy. What in the world has changed here that I would leave a third review and it’s a 1 star? So done with this place. I’ve been here about 5 – 6 times now and each time has been worse than the last. Both dining in and takeout. This last takeout was the last straw. First, we ordered chow mein and they gave us fried rice instead. The General Tso’s chicken is always my favorite and I could barely find the chicken. It was all breading. Then we gave the pork boiled dumplings a shot but they were very dry, and both my wife and I bit into some kind of bone or tendon. I had to take a picture of it. We feel gross after we ate. Never again.

Minus 0.5 star for parking. It was Sunday evening and I had hard time finding a parking. It is located in downtown kirkland. Kind of confusing to find a parking spot. I phone –ordered to go shrimp fried rice, 4-star hot and spicy chicken, and 4 star stir fried beef. It did not taste 4 star at all. more like 2? But maybe because i am a spicy food freak and got them Asian taste buds :) Spicy chicken and shrimp fried rice was good. Although I needed some siriracha in my fried rice to add some flavor. Also minus 0.5 star on my food because half of spicy chicken was filled with dried hot pepper i couldn’t eat. And my friend said his beef dish had too much onions and it was a little too tough to chew beef? Total came to around 40 bucks ish after tips. Not sure about service since I to-go food, but cashier seemed friendly. I would come back here when I am craving some Chinese food again!

As far as hot pot goes, Beijing O’chef was Okay. I keep trying to find that szechuan style hot pot closer to home than the ID, but I can’t ever seem to find it as good as my favorite. Beijing O’Chef did OK. They do bring you more than just cabbage for vegetables, and while you don’t get every selection of meat, you can order different types when you are done with the first two types. Hot pot spots that don’t have udon noodles must *really* not want me to have udon noodles, even when specifically requested. We spoke with the server who said it was doable, but it would cost an additional fee. Unfortunately, I never got those noodles, even after the extended conversation about them. Oh well. The tofu is not the silken tofu that I am used to, either. They also bring it frozen. At first, I really disliked this type of tofu but later during the meal realized it soaked up the flavor of the broth much more than silken tofu does. The broth was strong with a lot of herbs and spices that were okay, but at some times overpowering. The service was decent. We were helped by a man and a woman, but I believe the man was supposed to be our main server. The man seemed indifferent to being there, but the woman was very kind and helpful. She definitely made up for his shortcomings. I’d come here again, but I’m not racing back as quickly as possible.
