What a cozy, wonderful place to meet friends and have a fantastic hand crafted cocktail and a bite to eat. I love the shrimp tacos and the drinks are always top notch. Vovina is intimate but not boring, something hard to find in a lounge atmosphere. I love this place!

Vovina is a smaller intimate-​feeling place located right across from Flatstick Pub.
It is more of a lounge on the inside with couches and an outdoor patio as well. We stood at the entrance for a while until someone told us to seat ourselves.
Service was kind of slow after we got seated as there was only one waitress for the whole restaurant (water please!). The staff were very friendly though and helpful.
We got the Chocolatini and the Thai One On drinks. The Chocolatini tasted primarily like milk, but wasn’t bad. The Thai One On was very gingery and we could not finish the drink as it didn’t taste great (they didn’t charge us for it, which was nice).
We then ordered the rangoons, which were incredible! It was my first time trying them and I loved every bite! I wanted more — very impressive.
I will definitely be back here. I want to try more food and some of their other various cocktails. Vovina would be a great location to go for a Happy Hour.

Great cocktails especially the jalepeno-​tini. And their truffle tots are to die for! Service has always been spot on. It’s a great late night stop.

Great location on Kirkland waterfront. The service was good and it was nice to see management working along with employees to ensure everyone was taking care of. Management was able to quickly and professional handle a small payment issue with ease and took ownership of the problem. Highly recommend this great business and look forward to return visits.

I came to Vovina last Sunday evening for the first time, it was great! We ordered a few appetizers, my favorite were the meatloaf sliders. While there I met Katie, the owner. She was super friendly and very accommodating. Definitely going to come back in the future to try out the rest of the menu!

Went in for pre dinner Scotch and Soda. Nice little bar in downtown Kirkland. The owner who was bartending was extremely personable and engaging. I didn’t order food, but others at the bar area did and it looked really good. Next time I’m up I may have to try something off the menu.

The staff is GREAT and the drinks are some of the best I have had. They take a lot of care in the mixology of your beverage. The kitchen is rocking out some tasty treats. In the summer that patio is the place to hang with friends. The new ownership has turned this place into a premier spot.

New owners! Much better food and drink offerings. Try the meat loaf sliders, cheeseburger and flat bread pizzas! Soooo good!

Cool atmosphere! Loved the tables at the sitting couches near the bar. Mixed drink options looked great. Had the Naughty Girl ($ 11) and it tasted like a grapefruit! yum! Would return again!

My girlfriends and I have been searching for a Kirkland location for drinks for a while — as it is between our cities. Vovina was our 4^th attempt, and this is where we will stay.
The happy hour is worth it! We are often there around 5pm, and the establishment is pretty quiet. The bartender is able to help us out with all of our needs, including when we ask for custom-​made mocktails.
Happy hour pricing is good — the three of us get several plates and a few drinks for about $ 30-​$ 40 each, and we are done for the evening — no dinner required. The cheese plate is one of the things that has us coming back! Four types of cheese, crackers, fruit slices, and two fruit spreads — VERY tasty! And each of us gets all of the types of cheese through the «fork and knife wars».
Dark interior, 90’s music playing at happy hour… We find it very comfortable. And we will be back!

Stopped in here on Friday for pre-​dinner drinks with the husband. Now, we are very very picky when it comes to cocktails (years living in Manhattan will do that to you) — and the cocktails here were excellent, and very affordable. The place was quite busy, and appeared to be understaffed (one bartender, and one server working the room) — which means sometimes a bit of a wait for a cocktail, but you can’t really blame the staff for that. The service was as good as it could be for being overworked/​understaffed. The crowd was a real mixed bag, and there were some clearly intoxicated/​loud people. I’d come back again and try it out for pre-​dinner drinks again, but not sure if I’d spend my whole evening there — I prefer the more laid back wine-​bar atmosphere.

Dark and moody interior, low seating and tables made of wood logs, this is one of those new fusion cocktail places. The food is average and fairly pricey, so are the cocktails. But at least the cocktails taste great.
I tried Strawberry Fields, Naughty Girl and the Jalapenotini which had jalapeño slices and twist of lime. All 3 were delicious, but the jalapeño martini really worked my taste buds. The service is ok, they’re attentive but not super-​friendly. It’s a small place so our server came by often but it felt like everyone had to order at least a couple of drinks or they wouldn’t be happy.
If the cocktails were any cheaper I would come to this place more often. But the $ 13-​$ 15 price per cocktail plus tax and tip adds up quickly!

This is my favorite place for cocktails on the eastside. Most of the food is darned good too, I really like the tacos.

The great: their jalapeño martini and the strawberry fields cocktails are what keeps me coming back.
The not so great, but not bad enough to not come back: their service is spotty. Also, I hold the dairy when I order, and I’ve received the same comment twice about how it must be horrible to not eat dairy. Sure my friends say those trite comments often, but it is impolite coming from a server to a customer.

Visited VoVina for the first time last night, and I will definitely be back for more of those dirty martinis! Seriously, the best I have ever had! We also had the Fried Cherve, and tried the Truffle Tots. Both were amazing! I wasn’t a huge fan of the tempura veggie platter, as it was a bit greasy for my taste, but everything else was fantastic! Thanks for hosting the Corks and Canvas event last night and entertaining all of us.

I went here a couple weeks ago and I didn’t love anything about this place. The bartender was very attentive which was great! However, the food and the atmosphere were subpar and the drinks were extremely overpriced in my opinion.
Not my favorite place in Kirkland but I will give it another shot.

Great cocktails (really well prepared), good service, nice vibe. My only complaint is a) would be great to have more outdoor seating/​more complete tables outside, and b) inside is a little dimly lit/​loungy for the waterfront location. Definitely recommend the martinis!

Amazing hand-​crafted cocktails! The jalapenotini is one of my favorites! The bite hits you at the first sip but is just enough to make you perk up! After one drink, your lips tingle a bit so I wouldn’t recommend more than that. But it has an amazing refreshing taste that is so welcome in warm weather. Thai One On and Strawberry Fields is great too!!! All very clean and not too heavy. I’m not big into super sweet drinks and these fit the bill.
Outdoor seating is great, inside is pretty dimly lit and intimate — good ambiance overall.
Love this place!
