Um… Fabulous happy hour spot ! They also have wine flights if you would like to have a little more than a sample. It gets pretty busy, so get there as soon as you can for happy hour at the bar. You for sure need reservations for dinner, if you don’t want to wait. But the food is fabulous, worth the wait.

Must go! Sat outside on the patio and had the happy hour sangria which was amazing. The smoked chicken linguine was also delicious and large enough for two people to share. Truffle fries are definitely on my must-have for next time. Our waitress was so nice and even brought buy a sweet dessert with a lit candle for my birthday.

I’m not a big pizza fan, shocking right! Just not my favorite food. However, I love the pizza here! Probably some of the best I’ve ever had. The Margarita style pizza(don’t remember what they call it) is the best!

We’ve been coming to the Brix for almost 4 years and have always received amazing service(and food!). Jessica, our server for tonight, gave us stellar service. She’s got a fun personality(not to say that the others haven’t, because they’ve all been great).

This is a five star Happy Hour. For the quality, its hard to beat. The HH is available daily from 4−6pm, and Monday 8−9pm, Tuesday-Thursday 9−10pm, Friday 10−11pm, Saturday 9−10pm, and Sunday all day. The food deal is: «30% OFFALLSTARTERS, FLATBREADPIZZAS, SOUP, SMALLCAESARSALAD&OURSIGNATUREWARMBROCCOLISALAD.» The drink deal is Sangria $ 5, House Wines $ 5, Beers $ 3.75, and Well Drinks $ 4.75. The Smoked Pepper Steak Bites was a wonderfully conceived dish with cubes of steak, mushroom, and sweet onions in a rich beefy sauce with blue cheese crumbled on top. It came with a hot, freshly baked mini baguette. Absolutely delicious!!! The Pulled Pork Sliders were three ciabatta rolls filled with pulled pork in a sweet bbq sauce with slaw and mustard on it — very tasty. Along with a Caesar Salad, this was plenty for the two of us. We didn’t have room for the Truffle Fries that everyone raves about — another time.

Late drinks on Sat. night. Came in at 9:00 and surprised to see it was happy hour. Sat at the bar and helped by bartender, Daniel. He was really nice and service was great. Happy hour is 30% off appetizers and specials on selected drinks. Had a couple of glasses of Cabernet and a Vodka cocktail from menu(can’t remember name). Had apps. Basil chicken flatbread and tuna tartare. Flatbread was slightly burned on edges, but still good. Tartare was awesome! Great first time visit!

I’m a fan. This place is great for Happy Hour, Date Nights, or simple outings with friends… or if you’re like me, you come alone and sit at the bar and savor some tasty wines. Happy Hour — 30% off starters and flatbreads… can’t go wrong with that! Their pear and pancetta flat bread is near enough for two people and simply delectable. The cheese plate is also a great starter… they have several cheeses to choose from to complete your trio that comes with apples and crackers. Did I mention they have $ 5HH Sangria that is also the bees-knees?! Seriously. It’s good. Like real good. Can’t decide on one of their yummy wine selections? They have wine flights! Definitely a great option. Dinner is also quite tasty here. I will note that the roasted chicken dish I had ordered was not exactly what I was expecting. What was noted as having an au-jus sauce… it was more like butter sauce and very heavy. My boyfriend had their burger the other night though and was very pleased with the overall flavor. Prices are a bit higher here but with both an early and late evening HH… and all day Sundays… you can’t go wrong with stopping by!

Great food. Always. Wish they had more options that were gluten free. Also portions are on the small side. Would be nice to have a little bigger portions on the plate. Maybe even add a veggie side.

I agree with previous comments that the food here is very bland and overpriced as a result. I’d gladly pay the price if the food tasted better. Stay away from the risotto — it was like eating oatmeal. Good wine options here but way overpriced. For the $, you are better off going to Purple for flavorful food and a sommelier.

We had a very enjoyable time at this wine bar. The appetizers were very good and the wine selection was broad. We settled down with a Rouge and snack on olives and cheese. Overall, our evening outing here was very nice to say the least.

Skip the crowded downtown Kirkland restaurants and come to Brix for Happy Hour! I’ve been to Brix at least five times(for dinner and/or HH) and the service and food have been consistently good. Yummy HH/appetizer items include the truffle fries, pork sliders, warm broccoli salad, and flat bread pizzas. The pork sliders have a good amount of meat in them and would constitute a meal in itself. For entrees, try the hamburger(juicy and big) or risotto. Desserts are just so-so. I’ve never had any bad experiences about the hostess or wait staff as other reviews have noted. I have always received attentive and friendly service. One thing to note is that the restrooms here are crazy clean and extremely well-maintained. Probably the cleanest I’ve ever seen at a restaurant. A pet peeve of mine is poorly maintained restrooms so this is much appreciated.(Thanks to the Brix staff if you are reading this.)

I love this place! Consistently good food coupled with a warm, neighborhood restaurant vibe. If you enjoy wine, you’ll love their offerings of local Washington and imported Italian wines. And their sangria is to die for! I’ve had sweet dates here as well as group gatherings and the atmosphere serves well for both. They don’t take reservations, so come early or give yourself time to wait.

Just visiting the area and decided that wine and«Italian» food would be a pretty good end to an evening. I was dead wrong, the risotto was dry, and lacking in the flavor department and the other dishes friends got were also very bland, which was VERY disappointing considering how much these dishes cost. I will say that our particular server was pretty amazing and took some off the bill to make up for the blahness, plus there was a mistake on the bill that she took care of as well(plus one star). In the end, SKIP the entrees and come here for the wine and maybe some appetizers(those are the best part). The place is not too noisy and you can actually carry on a conversation with others without having to get loud. Also.. . You might have to shoot a flare gun to get the attention of the host since they don’t seem to pay attention when people enter the restaurant and will leave you standing there until you flag them down.

The food we ended up having was really good, but the service experience was a let down. My husband and I came in around 8/8:30 on a Friday night, well after the dinner rush. Plenty of tables available and no wait. But, it took a good 10 minutes for our waitress to come by the table. Hubby has some food restrictions so we asked questions about the ability to leave things off or make substitutions. Our waitress seemed frustrated by having to answer and didn’t put any effort into making suggestions on easy substitutions, etc. We know food allergies/restrictions can be difficult to work around and so we try to do the groundwork ourselves so we can order appropriate, but it involves asking about the food prep. A lot of wait staff will gladly offer up helpful suggestions or check with the kitchen. We ended up ordering an entrée to split between us(the Wild Salmon) and substituting in veggies for the mashed potatoes(which we learned are pre-made with dairy). My glass of wine arrived about a minute before our food. Our food arrived on one plate and the runner left before we could ask for an extra plate. We had to flag down our waitress(difficult) and get another plate. The food itself really was quite excellent. However, the only quick part of service we received was having the check delivered to our table while we we were still eating… with no check-in about whether we wanted anything else. I had actually been eyeing dessert since we split an entrée, but we decided to just go to the coffee shop across the street for our sweet fix.

3.5 actually. Although the food was generally okay/pretty good overall, I don’t think it’s special in anyway. The service is pretty good though, our server and the host were friendly and cheerful. We ordered the charcuterie plate(skip it.), warm broccoli salad(good but nth special) cauliflower soup(decent), truffle fries(too thin, I would’ve preferred a larger cut), kale and quinoa salad with chicken(nicely sweet and tangy. The chicken was cooked perfectly too!), roasted chicken(nicely cooked but nth special), risotto(nice large portion and was alright), and the brownie Sunday was pretty good but I wish it was more crisp on the outside. I wish they would work on their appetizers…

Huge fan of this place. I admit that north of downtown kirkland is gets more residential and less uppty; however, there are some nice gems to be found scattered across Juanita. Brix is fantastic! First off, it has a great wine and happy hour menu with house wines under $ 4 and beers for $ 5. Atmosphere: I’m not sure where the people come from, but it seems like the typical downtown visitors like to go to this restaurant and a lot of other who dine are finely dressed. I would feel bad wearing my sweat pants at this establishment. Other points to highlight: As mentioned in other reviews, Truffle Fries. Holy crap that is some good stuff! GUAPPROVED!

One of my favorite places to visit after moving to Kirkland. They’re happy hour is wonderful. Beers on tap for $ 3.75 and $ 5 house wines. They’re happy hour menu is also quite impressive for a wine café. I highly recommend the truffle fries, chipotle hummus, and tomato bisque. The service is great — I’ve never had to wait for a table. I’ve also found that they’re good at accommodating dietary restrictions. It’s much appreciated for me being dairy-free and my friend who is a vegetarian. Highly recommend!

A friend and I recently ended up at Brix Wine Café for a leisurely dinner. I’m so lucky to have found a great restaurant right in my neighborhood! The atmosphere is really nice here — dim lighting, cozy space and tables that are not on top of one another. It is a perfect place for a romantic date night or a group of girls enjoying a night to catch up. We started off with the Truffle Fries, which are thin and crispy, and accompanied by aioli and ketchup. We also shared the Warm Broccoli Salad, which is tossed in olive oil, anchovy and garlic. OMG — this was SOOO good, I ran out and bought anchovies the very next day to try making this dish at home. I had the burger with blue cheese — they were very accommodating about substituting my side, since we had ordered fries as an appetizer. My friend ordered the salmon entrée, and she really enjoyed it. Prices for entrees are a little high for basic dishes, but you can bet I’ll find myself back here for their happy hour specials. I do wish they had more wine selection by the glass available, but I might try a wine flight during my next visit. The service was very good — helpful, unobtrusive and friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends looking for a nice meal in Kirkland!
