Destroyed my tire hitting a curb. Stupid move on my part and the staff at Kirkland tire was fantastic. They could have laughed at me and yet they were sympathetic and very kind. They did not have the tire I needed in stock. They ordered me the correct one and found a used one that I could borrow until my new one arrived. I was is a hurry because let’s face it, I’m always in a hurry and they rushed to get my borrowed tire on so that I wouldn’t be late to pick-​up the kids. I often feel uncomfortable dealing with cars issues being a female and Kirkland Tire Center treated me as a person and not a female idiot who drives her car into curbs. :) I will definitly go back and I will send my daughters there when and if they ever need tire service.

We needed trailer tires the day before we left on the second leg of our 2400 mile trip and Kirkland tire factory had the best price around. Called them and told them our issue and they said to bring the trailer down. When we got there they had the tires ready and were waiting for us. Before i could get in the office the trailer was getting lifted in air and the tires were being removed. It felt like a nascar pitstop crew just jumped out! In and out in about 5 minutes!!!
We bought 2 205/​75/​R15 D-​rated tires for our trailer for just under 200 installed!!! They held up great to the last 1200 miles and didnt flinch at the load! Thanks!!!

Something changed about 2 – 3 years ago… Either new ownership or new management. Used to be honest and trustworthy with great service but now every oil change turns into $ 500-​$ 1000 in additional service.
I took my car in for oil change and they told me the calipers were cracked and they’d need to be replaced. My car was still under warranty so I took it to the dealership to see if this would be covered under warranty. You’d think the dealership would be eager to perform the service but instead they said there was nothing wrong with the calipers.

I am tired of the attitude that their staff gives me when I question ANYTHING on their bill, and I am tired of them using the low price oil change as a hook to up-​sell me on everything.
Tires were quoted over the phone at one price, and after installation they were $ 20 higher each. Sorry Tire Factory despite spending several thousand $ there over the last 4 years, I won’t be back.

I had my tires replaced here a year ago, although kept running into issues with my low tire pressure light coming on. Every now and then, I would bring my vehicle in and they would refill the air. They couldn’t seem to find an issue and because my fiancé had been using them for years, I trusted that all was fine as long as they could fix when I stopped by.
A few weeks ago, I had my front brakes repaired by them as well. Again, the low tire pressure issue was mentioned. When I picked my car up, the low tire pressure light was off, so once again, I assumed everything was fine.
Over this past weekend, I drove my car to Eastern Washington. On the drive back, I ran over a few grooves along the edge of the freeway lane (nothing big — just the ones that warn that you’re crossing the line). Within minutes, my car started shaking and the rear passenger side of my vehicle felt like it was off balance. The shaking was so bad and so random, that it didn’t occur to me that it could have been my tire. I ended up having to drive my car 5 mph to the nearest exit and gas station. They didn’t have a mechanic on site, so after several calls and learning that no one in Prosser (or nearby) worked on Sunday, I ended up staying the night so I could have a mechanic look at in the morning.
I brought the car to someone the next morning. He was quick to point out the issue was my rear passenger side tire and referred me to the local Les Schwab. The guys there were great and even went out of their way to pick up the tire size I needed from a Les Schwab the next town over. I paid $ 130 for the tire which was the best deal they had to offer. Les Schwab recommended that I bring my old tire back to the place I purchased it from as they thought it would be covered under warranty.
When I brought my tire into the Tire Factory, I asked if it was covered under warranty. I received a quick «no» with the excuse that the tire had already been patched. I was confused as to when this would have happened. The Tire Factory guy suggested that it had to have been Les Schwab as it wasn’t the type of patch job they would do. I watched the Les Schwab guys change the tire and didn’t see that happen nor did it make any sense as to why they would have done that. I walked back to my car and called the Prosser Les Schwab to confirm if they had patched the tire. As I expected, they hadn’t.
I walked back into the Tire Factory to talk with them again just as the guy was wheeling out my tire to discard. I told him that I called Les Schwab and they had not patched the tire. The guy responded quickly saying, «Oh yeah, I looked in our computer and we patched it in April — but this isn’t what caused damage to your tire. Sorry»… as he was walking away. (Um, were you going to let me know this or just let me leave thinking otherwise??) I felt too frustrated to follow up him trying to debate the issue. Damage already done.
April was actually only a few weeks ago and it would have been when I brought my vehicle in for the brake repair. No one said a word to me about patching any of my tires. (No record on their paperwork either.) Even then, my warranty should have covered a replacement, not a patch repair.
It’s a little too coincidental that the tire I had an issue with on my road trip is the one they patched without my knowledge. While I’m out more money for a new tire, my real frustration lies with the fact the Tire Factory didn’t bother to spend even five minutes talking with me about the issue.
I won’t be back again. They have now also lost a my fiancé as a client as well. Lesson learned. There’s a reason why this place is rated so low.

This place is horrible! Although the have a giant reader board out front that reads «Oil, Filter, and Tire rotation for $ 25.00» that’s not what they charge and they don’t want to do oil changes. I had to come back 5 times before they could «fit me in» because they don’t take appointments and I still had to wait 3hrs! The same guy always comes up to the counter and acts like he can care less about you or your vehicle. The customer service here is crap and they treat you accordingly. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

Go ANYWHERE else to buy tires for your car but here! They are unethical and unprofessional. I came in here October 2014, and spent $ 600.00 for Altimax tires. Every time I went over a bump or pothole after that, my car made a really loud noise and the whole car shook. It was an irritatingly loud and rough ride in general. Also, when I would go 50 – 60 mph on the highway, my car was shaking really badly, and none of these things were present before I got the new tires.
They don’t make «appointments» here, so you just have to go in. I went back a month later, and they were too busy to take me. I went back in a week later. The tires were out of balance, and they had to re-​balance them and discovered one of the tires was NOT EVEN ON THE RIM. Their work. After this, the car was still having the same problems. I called a few times and they were too busy to take me, and then I went in and Dan ordered some new tires. The new Falken tires were a bit better, but still loud and the car continued to shake on the highway. I went to Village Auto Care at U. Village to make sure something else wasn’t wrong with the car. They told me the tires had been over-​torqued and needed weights on them. They also had to re-​balance the car once again. It was better after that, but still not as good of a ride as my old tires. I went back to Village Auto a week later, and they told me they noticed that the tread on the tires was «bizarre» and it could be causing the problems. They called Kirkland Tire Factory’s work «criminal». They said there was nothing else wrong with my car.
On February 26, 2015, a full 4 months later, I went in and talked with Aaron who is apparently a child posing as an adult there. He gave me nothing but attitude when I told him the car was still not right, and that I had to spend $ 130.00 with Village Auto to diagnose that the tires were causing the problems with the car. The first reaction Aaron had was that of course that no one else has ever had a problem with these tires. I asked why I wasn’t given a refund for the lower-​priced 2^nd set of tires they had put on ($ 445.00). He said, «I don’t know,» and ignored it. The whole time he was smirking at me, rolling his eyes, and kept saying, «I’m just not going to say anything,» as sarcastically as he could. He also said that Village Auto knows nothing about tires. This was the worst customer service ever from an arrogant and unprofessional guy.
He asked me what tires I wanted. They are supposed to be the tire experts and should know what tire fits and rides well on my car. In the past, I have had tires put on this car by both Les Schwab and Lee Johnson of Kirkland, and NEVER ONCE HAD ANY PROBLEMS.
In the end, this has been going on for a VERY LONG 4 months. I went back in to get the 3^rd set of tires on February 27. Dan was there, and also had MORE attitude for me. The first thing he brought up was, «I heard you called Aaron a name,» not, «I’m sorry we have inconvenienced you for 4 months.» He also said that Village Auto doesn’t know what they are talking about. But they get 4 stars on Unilocal and KTF gets 3. When I brought up the overcharge of $ 155.00 due to the second set of tires being $ 445.00, he said, «Well, that was for labor.» On that bill, labor was listed as $ 0.00. Even so, why would I be charged $ 150.00 for labor for a half hour of work when their rate is $ 60.00 per hour? That would be $ 30.00 for labor. He made a big display of pointing out that they were giving me a $ 175.00 credit with the 3^rd set of tires. His SUPPOSED credit was based on the second set of tires at the price of $ 445.00. I PAID THEM $ 600.00, not $ 445.00. So, let’s do some basic 4^th grad math, which apparently they don’t know how to do. They charged me $ 600.00 for the first set of tires. They replaced these with a second set of tires priced at $ 445.00 and never offered a refund. They owed me $ 155.00. Then, they tell me they credited me $ 175.00 when they put the 3^rd set of tires on that were $ 620.00. There was no $ 175.00 credit. In addition, remember I had to pay Village Auto $ 130.00 to diagnose the problem as being Kirkland Tire Factory’s tires and shoddy work.
Next, I checked on the Better Business Bureau’s website and Kirkland Tire Factory has 2 complaints against it.

Find any other place to take your car for tires!

I took a car to The Tire Factory earlier this year. I needed two new tires. The price was reasonable and their service was quick. They told me about their tire warranty and free services. When I was going to do a snow tire changeover recently, I noticed that one the tires had a bump on the sidewall. When I went to their shop to get this issue taken care of, they told me that it was not covered under the tire warranty. I challenged them on the warranty as being too narrowly defined, but the guy wouldn’t budge.
I have been to Les Schwab Tires several times over the years and I have had tires replaced under their warranty for much smaller issues. Other family members have also had excellent service from Les Schwab regarding the tire warranty. I guess that I know where my future business will be going to in the future. I gave The Tire Factory the opportunity to give me a reason to be a loyal customer. They failed miserably. I will not be going there again.

I used to live near Kirkland Tire Factory, so I went there for oil changes/​tires/​brakes etc… out of convenience. I had a VW Passat at that time which they always told me had to have synthetic oil since it was a Passat. Synthetic oil is more expensive but I figured oh well it has to have it, then it has to have it. I trusted them and got the synthetic oil. Several times in fact.
Then I moved away for several years, was out of touch. In the meanwhile, I changed vehicles, but my next vehicle was still a VW Passat, a few years older model. Earlier this summer of 2014, I moved back to the area near Kirkland Tire Factory again, and worked only a few blocks away, so I dropped my car off there for an oil change as it was convenient. When I went to pay and pick up my car, The shop manager gave me the price of $ 30-​something dollars, and I was really surprised it was so low, since synthetic is usually $ 60-​something dollars. When I asked about the price, and was it for synthetic oil, I was told, «no it’s regular oil, you didn’t ask for synthetic.» At that point, I felt very frustrated because he knew full well that they should have been an oil change with synthetic oil, and I shouldn’t even have had to ask. So I said, «It’s a Passat, it has always had synthetic oil, I didn’t think I needed to especially ask for synthetic, based on all my previous oil changes in my other Passat that you told me needed synthetic oil.» .shop mgr. said nothing, just gives me this blank stare,…” so can you change it again and put synthetic oil this time?” … to which he says with this attitude like he was all annoyed with me, (without any apology for their mistake), «ya we can do that, but you’ll have to wait, we have to drain out the regular oil…» after about a half hour, he told me my car was ready, and then proceeded to charge me the price for synthetic oil without offering anything to compensate for my having to wait additional time for their mistake.
But wait, it gets better:
So when my oil light come on a couple months later, in like maybe August, I stopped in Kirkland Tire Factory to have them courtesy check the oil and top it off. Not a problem, one of the younger shop guys popped the hood on my car, checked the oil level, and then added a quart, thanked me for coming in, says ‘have good day.’ but then shop mgr wasn’t there, another gentleman was there that day, an older guy with curly gray hair, courteous guy.
Then again in November, my oil light came on, so I needed the oil courtesy checked and topped off. But this time, the shop manager was there. After the younger shop guy added a quart of oil, I thanked him and got in my car to leave, and he comes running out of the office and knocks on the window of my car, and I’m surprised, and push the button to lower the window, and he says in a rude tone, ‘Hey you have to pay for that oil, it’s not free you know!’ And I said, ‘What? when did you start charging for a courtesy top-​off?” And he says with the rude tone, «we have never had a courtesy-​top off and you know that! You will have to come inside and pay for that oil we just added.» I said, ‘I came in a couple months ago and wasn’t charged, and I have never had to pay for a top-​off” to which he said in his rude tone, ‘Well I don’t know who helped you then, but they should have charged you for the oil!” I don’t ever remember having to pay in the past for oil top-​offs. By this time, I am following him inside to the counter to pay… I asked him how much it was, and when he told me the total, I told him I didn’t have that much cash on me, or my VISA card with me, and was about to offer to write a check or come back with the cash to fully pay, but he cut me off as I was speaking, would not listen or allow me to talk, I tried to say I would come back with the rest of the cash, or write a check… but he would not listen to me at all, and he lost his temper, and in a VERY ANGRY TONE, he says, «JUST FORGET IT, JUST LEAVE AND DON’T COME BACK!» and then he also said this, «YOU EVEN HAVE BRAND NEW TIRES ON THE FRONT OF YOUR CAR FROM BIG-​O TIRES!!» (apparently all mad that I hadn’t bought my tires from Kirkland Tire Factory) and then he repeated, «JUST LEAVE AND DON’T COME BACK!» (even though I had heard him the first time!)which was really ridiculous, totally uncalled for, he completely over-​reacted. There were several people in the waiting room, so humiliating, embarrassing. FELT ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. His behavior is completely unprofessional, I felt like he acted like a bully! I have no idea how he feels it is ok to treat a customer like that, absolutely the worst I have ever been treated. I didn’t say another word, just turned around and left. I noticed the shop mgr was the only one there, the other guy that was at the counter was not there that day Just the younger guys out in the shop were there. It’s like since he can get away with it, he is not accountable to anyone at all.

I purchased 4 new tires at Kirkland Tire Factory. I left thinking I got a great deal, but experienced vibrations while driving home. I drove the car for over a week and noticed vibrations again. Took the car back and they said that there were out of balance tires. Didn’t even apologize for me having to come back to get them re-​balanced. Turns out, I drove home and had the same vibrations! I took my car to the dealer, and they said the tires were seriously out of balance. Wow! Kirkland tire factory — you guys do nothing but tires, every day! Why can’t you balance a tire? Really? I would not recommend buying tires from the Kirkland Tire Factory.

I’ve been using these guys for the past year. I have a lot of work vehicles to keep tires on as well as four family vehicles. I have found the shop to be honest and reliable. They are organized and have the job done when they say. Staff is personable and interested in taking care of you.

No Stars from me and definitely will NOT be a return customer. Been to this shop a few times for an oil change and never felt it as inviting or even a positive place to be. Even a phone call to this place is negative and «the language of no» meaning that you are pretty much assured that the customer is always wrong when you choose to «try» to be a customer at this establishment. As the former review eluded to I will now definitely be a customer at Stingray Automotive where they actually LISTEN to the customer and it is an inviting and positive place to do my business with.

Standard Tire Factory but with helpful sales associates who have taken care of me quickly and honestly. Good location not far from the 85^th St exit in Kirkland.

Unethical. Be aware of this outfit. I have two good friends who live in Kirkland who they shafted. One wanted a good set of regular tires for her granddaughter who was going on a cross state trip in the summer. She knows little about tires and trusted them. They sold her some heavy duty snow tires that didn’t make it through Montana before there were problems. The other was a friend who is recovering from a stroke and has speech problems. He went in to replace a rear tire which he had curbed. They sold him the tire for over $ 200. When I called to inquire about the same tire, they quoted me half that amount, mounted, balanced, warranty– out the door. If you don’t comparison shop, don’t use this place. If you don’t know anything about tires and need someone to trust, don’t use this place. They seem to thrive on vulnerable customers.

I’d been getting my oil changed here a few times and the first two times were fine, then later, every time I went, they would call me approximately 30 minutes after dropping off the car and tell me that I needed so and so done.
The most recent time that this happened, I told them I needed to think about it but took their quote. I went to Midas, and then finally my dealership. I guys at the dealership ended up charging me less for the job and when I asked about the additional things that needed to be fixed, I was told that it was not an issue.
Not sure if I can trust them anymore.

I had been going to this place for oil changes for a while because it’s just a couple of blocks from my work so I can drop off/​pick up easily. I’m used to having oil change places try to upsell to me — I’m a woman and it’s just what they do, so I’m not surprised when every time I come in I’m told something is leaking or worn. Each time I’ve gotten a second opinion on the various hose leaks I’m told by them that I have, I’m told they don’t exist, so that should have told me to stop giving them my business, but like I said: it’s par for the course with places like this, so I ignored it.
My brakes started squeaking and I knew it was around the time I’d need a brake check so the next time I went in for an oil change I asked them to take a look and they said that the brake pads in the front were getting low and needed changed. I had them change the pads. When I picked it up they said my rotors would need changing soon too, but not yet. They told me the back brakes/​rotors were fine. I drove away and the brakes were still squeaking.
I brought it back twice in the coming weeks, telling them the brakes were still squeaking. The first time they said they didn’t hear anything and could find no reason for them to be squeaking. The 2^nd time they said it was my front rotors, they needed replacing. I pointed out that the last guy had said «soon but not yet» and they told me he was mistaken. Fine. I asked them to change the front rotors. This time they told me my back brakes needed replacing soon, too.
The squeaking continued. Again I took the car in. This time they told me it was definitely the back brakes. It sure didn’t sound like it was coming from the back of the car. I went to Les Schwab to do the back brakes/​rotors.
The front brakes continued to squeak, this time turning from a squeak into a full-​on grinding noise when I was braking. It felt downright unsafe and was very reminiscent of when, a long long time ago, I had a car whose front brakes/​rotors were completely shot. I took the car back AGAIN and told them it was definitely the front brakes, that the sound was obviously from the front, and that I had brand new brakes/​rotors on the back.
I have been back 3 times. Once they told me it was just «how brakes sound now because they don’t have asbestos in them anymore». Once they told me that they didn’t even hear anything (you can hear my car coming from blocks away, so that’s an outright lie). And the last time they refused to listen to anything that was said, insisting to me that it must be the back brakes. They acted obviously irritated with me that I kept bringing the car back wanting an explanation for why the brakes/​rotors THEY had just replaced were not working properly.
I paid them several hundred dollars to have new brakes and rotors put on my car, properly. That obviously didn’t happen, and instead of fixing it at their cost, they’re trying to just shrug and tell the «naïve woman» that she’s just imagining things and that it’s an entirely different part of her car. I’m a girl, not an idiot.
I’ll be contacting the Better Business Bureau. Caveat emptor.

When I bought my tires here a couple years ago, my experience wasn’t fantastic… the tires they sold me on were off brand-​name tires that made me wish I’d stuck with my original choice and the alignment they performed had to be re-​done.
Most recently, today actually, this so-​so experience has again come to the forefront, but this time is the last I’ll come here.
In need of a tire re-​balancing, I came to Kirkland Tire Factory expecting them to make good on their promise of free rotations and balancing. When I asked about this, the guy behind the desk said that it would be about an hour before he could get me in and at least an hour and a half to get finished. I didn’t mind waiting and this wasn’t a problem.
HOWEVER, when he looked at the truck and recommended an alignment, which I agreed to, he was magically able to find time in his schedule to get it right into the shop.
Mediocre service and slimy salesguy. I’m done.

This is a local shop for those not wanting to head to Costco or Discount Tire — that being said, the prices are decent, and the service is ok. Over the past couple years I’ve had oil changes here, new brakes installed, purchased one set of tires, and recently went back to have the tires rotated and rebalanced (I wanted to wait to post this until after I had my follow-​up rotation and rebalancing just to see how these guys handle the maintenance agreement when you buy tires there). Good news was they took my car, did the maintenance work quickly and without hassle.
So, these guys do pretty good work. The service isn’t as outgoing and friendly as you might find elsewhere; but I’ve never had any issues with misleading quotes like some others that have posted.
