Omni Brake & Alignment

My wife’s Corolla had a horrific sound from the back brakes. These gents machined the rotors and sanded down the drum brakes for $ 40 and a noise that has plagued us for a year is now gone. Plus they checked the percentages on both front and rear brakes and gave us a low quote for the fronts for when they are due.

This was my first visit and these guys fit me into what seemed like a busy week for them. They knocked out an alignment in exactly the amount of time they said it would be and did a good job at that. I didn’t catch the owners name but I enjoyed talking to him while I waited. Both the owner and the tech that completed the work seemed very knowledgeable about my European auto which is always reassuring. I will definitely be back.

Was getting a brake light coming up a different moments while I was driving. This place is close to my work and due to the other reviews I gave them a shot. I dropped my car off in the morning and they took a look at it. It ended up being low brake fluid and they let me know my brakes were in great shape. It was such a relief to know that everything was good and they took care of me in less than half a day. I’ll be coming back next time I need something looked at.

The universal fear when dealing with Mechanics in general is how much they charge for the old «poke and find», meaning, am I going to get ripped off or feel unsettled after mortgaging my first home to pay for car repairs? Not with these people. I had my brakes done front and back and saved about $ 200.
One hundred percent above board, quality service, quick turn around times and overall the best place to get your brakes done on the eastside. They are better than Les, or your dealer in my opinion. And more than likely a pretty penny cheaper too. Can’t recommend these guys enough.

Great work and excellent service. I have done business with Omni for over 20 years. I took my Ford Edge to Ford of Kirkland this morning to get my brakes checked and hoping the sound I was hearing was under warranty. FOK quoted $ 820 and suggested to replace parts that did not need to be replaced. They also needed to air freight parts in and I would be without a car until tomorrow afternoon. Dropped my car off at Omni at noon and got a call from Pat at 3:00 letting me know I was good to go at over half the quoted price from FOK. If you need brakes, tires or alignment work you need to get a quote from Omni.

I cannot say enough great things about this place. I took my truck in here for a brake check when they were squeaking. Not only was everything fine, but they didn’t even charge me for looking at them!
Fast forward to a few years later… I took my truck in yet again to check the brakes before I started hauling my horse trailer. All was good with the brakes and again they didn’t charge me a penny!
What other place can you go to where you get an HONEST response like this! They will certainly get my business when I finally do need brakes and in the meantime — I’m telling everyone about them!

Great work, accurate quotes. Pat gave me a quote for alignment repairs. When he realized he could get aftermarket parts for cheaper he called back immediately to ask if I wanted to save some cash.

I got in for an early alignment appointment. Pat at the front desk was really nice and an interesting guy to chat with while my car was being worked on. The job was done well and in good time. I would definitely come back here.

I would highly recommend Omni Brake. They quickly diagnosed an issue with a vehicle I recently purchased and instead of pushing to do the work themselves, Pat recommended I take it back to the dealership to have them fix it.
He clearly explained the issue with the vehicle, gave detailed price quotes, and didn’t charge me for the diagnostics. This is the only auto shop I have been to in Seattle that I feel like I can truly trust because they put the interest of the customers first.

I was extremely impressed with Omni Brake and Alignment. Before I found Omni I was quoted $ 800 for repairs to my car. I decided to check elsewhere for a quote and found Omni. After calling Omni and getting a quote, for what I was told was wrong with my car, their price was $ 200 less than the other repair shop. Once Omni took apart my car to repair it, they called to tell me that my calipers were working fine, and did not need to be replaced (while the other repair shop said I needed new ones). Thus cutting my price down even further. They completely fixed my braking issues! I am so appreciative of how honest their service was and I will certainly come back for any future repair needs.

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place yet! I have used Omni Brake & Alignment at least 6 times in the last few years and I will continue to call Pat and arrange for service anytime I have issues with brakes, alignments, or tires. Several times I have purchased tires online and had Pat’s crew install them quickly, flawlessly, for a great price. I once purchased new wheels online as well as new tires, brought all 8 pieces in and had them installed. Also had them check the alignment. Everything went perfectly. The car didn’t need an alignment at the time, but he printed out the numbers for me to keep in the glove box so we could reference them if it needed an alignment in the future. Most recently, with another car I hit a pothole and it put the alignment out of whack. They had it driving straight and true again in no time. It is typically easy to get an appointment and they typically run on time and true to estimate. Prices are quite competitive, especially when they do such high quality work. Don’t take them at just their name though… they deal with all sorts of suspension issues too including customizing/​lowering cars etc. If there was one thing I could change, it would be the waiting room. I don’t need frills, but I wish it didn’t smell of cigarette smoke. This is in no way a deterrent to me going there because the work is so great and I completely trust what they do and say. If you need help with anything related to those round rolling things on your car, go here. You won’t be disappointed.

From my experience, a great non-​franchise place to get tires balanced and mounted. I used before to order from
and again just today to get same wheels rebalanced. They do a top job, reasonable price and let me know a couple wheels were a bit bent. Then, gave me recommendation on a place to get repaired. Some places would have just ignored it. Very personable and professional service that I don’t hesitate to recommend.

Three years after my first review and, yep, I won’t go ANYPLACE else for tires or alignments. Won’t even think about it or comparison shop. These guys are the best and that’s simply it!

I am very satisfied with my experience with Omni Brake & Alignment. My hat is off to them for embracing the business model of allowing me to order my tires from
and do the install. I like to use local businesses and would have even paid a little extra if they could get a reasonable price on the specific tires I wanted for my M5. I did a lot of research and had a couple of makes/​models of tires in mind. Pat took some time to investigate prices through his supplier and in the end just recommended I order them from TireRack (they were offering an $ 80 rebate on Hankook tires). I place the order and had them delivered to Omni. Omni charges a little extra for installing
tires which is common and totally reasonable.
I also had alignment done at the time and was happy with the job they did.
Lastly, I talked with Pat about new breaks and he also suggested that I research and purchase the parts myself and they would do the install. His price on OEM BMW brakes is pretty high and I can find much better prices online.
This model just makes good sense to me (at least for performance cars or owners who are somewhat involved and picky). They don’t have to manage the ordering and stocking a lot of unique parts and I can spend the time to research and buy exactly what I want.

I like this place. The staff are very friendly and professional. They installed my new wheels and tires and aligned them. They also transferred my TPMS sensors from my old wheels. Fair price for great service. They are definitely going to get my business when it’s time for me to get new brakes and an upgrade to my suspension.

One of my favorite automotive places. We’ve been going here since ’95, when our old Ford Escort needed a brake job. They were fast, reasonably-​priced, and totally improved the braking on that old Escort. We’ve brought every car here ever since and can confirm they do great alignment work as well.
Their defining moment in my book came when we needed front brakes on a BMW 5-​series. We got an outlandish quote from BMW of Bellevue, and went back to Omni out of desperation. Not only could they do the job with all-​original BMW parts, including brake sensors, they charged nearly half of what BMW of Bellevue was asking.
They also are a great alternative to tire stores. Omni can get their hands on a good selection of tires and are competitively-​priced. For less-​common tires, they’ll have you order from Tire Rack but will mount, balance and align. It’s the best of both worlds.
Good automotive shops are a treasure, and I’m pleased Omni has been around through the years to give us great service. Many thanks.
