Little City Candy

This candy shop was quite underwhelming. Lots of standard candy that you would find in any grocery store. Lame and standard selection of salt water taffy, despite the strong advertising. (They only had 5 flavors, which were vanilla, peppermint, licorice, caramel and spiced mango.) Pretty disappointing.

I guess this is the first review of the new location. Our family lives across the sound in Edmonds, and we rode the Kingston ferry over to hang out for a bit and have a fun little afternoon. After stopping for some crepes next door, we swung by to check out the shop.
It’s a pretty cute little shop that has a nice selection of candies and sweets. Because we always had fudge on vacation when I was a kid, I have a sentimental attachment to it. Theirs is made in house, and they will let you sample before buying. It was tasty and we got some.
They had a nice selection of salt water taffy as well, which are not made in house but are imported. They were tasty and fresh however, which is all I can ask for. The staff were super friendly and we enjoyed the visit. Definitely stop in if you are waiting for the Kingston ferry (the lines can be long sometimes!).
