Still wish that I could change my review to 5 stars. 5NEGATIVE stars! Oh well, something good has happened: the place is closed F O R E V E R ! Yup that’s right! This badly run joke of a restaurant was closed by the owners.(Should have been by the health department because if the crap food they served.) So everyone join in and sing, «Ding dong the witch is dead ! …» Kingston has lost one of its worst crap hole eateries and will benefit from the absence of food poisoning. Celebrate that you never had to experience that.

i have no idea where to even start. my husband and i don’t get to go out much because we have young twins, so when we do go out, we’re pretty likely to just be happy to have some time together and we aren’t terribly critical of the eatery. but this was just horrendous. the interior is dilapidated, but whatever. we were just there for drinks, because we had a very short time, but we ordered the antipasti. every last thing was from costco, and the cheapest crappiest costco at that. the wine by the glass is limited to a merlot, a chianti, and a chardonnay(none of which are named). on the way out, i decided to take home dessert and ordered a piece of «Chocolate Mousse Torte». got home, got the kids to bed, sat down with my dessert, took a big bite, then looked to see what was in it. what i found was what was ON it: MOLD. and not a little bit, either. it was just scattered enough to look like powdered sugar at first. unreal. i’ve called and left them a message(they’re closed) and will take it to them tomorrow, but… DISGUSTING. on top of that, the service was atrocious and slow and the waitress walked away from me while i was trying to ask for a check.

This place used to be very good. I move away so I hadn’t been in a while. Sad to say, it has really gone downhill. Most of the food is pre-prepared(canned, out of a bag, etc). The service was awful. Not all our food arrived together. We could hear the ‘chef’ working the microwave. I will not be going back.

Words cannot describe how terrible this place is. Super slow service, terrible food, horrible décor, pricey. Literally there were three tables of people, my table included. A total of three people working, the old lady, a little girl that can’t be older than 13, and a young man working in the kitchen. It took a long time for the older woman to come take our order, and she made us feel like we were an inconvenience. The prices, oh my gawd the prices! Unbelievable! Everything here is frozen or canned how can it be this expensive?! While we waited for our food(there is only one cook) we saw the table next to us start getting their food. They were a party of 8 people and one dish at a time was being brought out by the COOK! The cook was making one dish at a time and bringing them out on his own. What were the old lady and child doing? Who knows. It was really off putting to see him come out with latex gloves on and serve plates to people. In addition to this someone was smoking outside the back door and the cigarette smoke was coming right into the dining area, so gross. We ordered, chicken tortellini with alfredo sauce, spaghetti with italian sausage, and a chicken caesar salad. Something was terribly wrong with each dish. First — the chicken tasted like lunch meat and had the texture of an eraser. Second — the alfredo sauce was as thin as water. Third — the italian sausage came whole and was too tough to cut through. Fourth — the salad was ICECOLD, borderline frozen and completely overdressed. Fifth — the chicken on the salad was just as bad as on the tortellini, also borderline frozen. Sixth — they never refilled our waters and we had to go find them in order to pay to leave. If I ever saw anyone walking into this place I would stop them and tell them to think again. Do not, for any reason, eat here. we are out over 50 bucks, didn’t eat a thing, and still hungry. Shame on you Luna Bella. Shame on you.

The place wasn’t even full when we went in, maybe a total of 5 tables, including our table of 4 people, yet they acted like the place was packed. There were two people waiting tables, yet it took them 30 minutes to even take our order. We ordered wine, a caprese salad, garlic bread, a calzone, and 3 entrée salads. The salads came in 15 – 20 minutes, but no appetizers. About 15 – 20 minutes later, our garlic bread showed up, and then it was another 20 minutes for the calzone. We finally had to ask for the caprese salad. My $ 11 regular caesar salad was about half the size of the two chicken caesars. Very disappointing service, food was good but not worth the price. We got the bill in record time, of course. Something as simple as a tray to carry drinks would speed up service in this restaurant.

I think one of the only good things I can say a out this place is the portion size… good portions. Spaghetti and meatballs ok– meatballs tastes like the pre-frozen ones you can get in a grocery store. Pizza is mediocre. Service was awful– once te food came we were ingnored the rest of the time. Had to get up to ask for more water, plate, boxes and bill… Have had much better even for a little hole in the wall place.

We were literally the only people in here on a quiet Saturday afternoon, so service was good by default. Funky interior(not necessarily the good kind). The food was pretty good and HUGE portions. I wouldn’t go back, simply because it wasn’t good enough for the prices. $ 50 for two entrees, garlic bread, and a couple of sodas.

I would love to try this place and offer a review based on my tastebuds, but they are never open. Seriously, I have been in Kingston to take the ferry at various times of the day or night and never once have I seen this place open. It has a great location in the small town atmosphere of the Kingston waterfront. But, they are not running a restaurant with predictable hours. What a shame, this is the type of place that could be doing great business, but nobody here appears to get it. You cater to the people that are hungry, when they are hungry, not when you feel like working.

Amazing food! The bruschetta has fresh tomatoes, basil and lots of olive oil with a hearty wedge of mozzarella. It is amazing. Both the ravioli pomodoro and lasagna were fantastic. Service was prompt and gracious. We had a marvelous time and no problems.

Great food. The service was a little slow, but the food came out fast. I had Portabello mushroom ravioli in gorgonzola cheese sauce that had artichoke and spinach in it. My friend had ravioli bolonaise. Very tasty. Good size servings, would have ordered the chocolate mouse cake because it looked so good when it came to the table next to us. We were lucky to have a warm summer evening to dine on their deck that overlooks the bay during a very beautiful sunset. The meals coming out to the other tables looked really appetizing. I will return if given the chance.

Good food but fairly expensive. 2 salads and a medium pizza: $ 47. Yikes.

I’ve been to Luna Bella perhaps a dozen times over the past 15 years. We like to walk on the ferry in Edmonds, have dinner at Luna Bella, then take the ferry back. I’m honestly not sure how this place stays in business. We went there last week. Four adults, a 3-year old and a 1-year old. We sat out back on the deck. The deck has a nice view, but because it is sandwiched between two other buildings, the breeze does not cool it down. It was HOT. We had to ask twice for a high chair. Food, including appetizer was ordered. We had to ask twice for milk for the kids. Appetizer(bruschetta) was pretty good but took awhile considering only a couple tables in the restaurant were occupied. Our entrees came out separately but in rapid succession. I had the meatball sandwich. After reading the description I mistakenly thought I’d be getting two pieces of bread with meatballs and marinara between them. Instead, I had two pieces of white french bread that had spent a lot of time on the flat top. Atop were meatballs cut in half, topped with marinara and cheese. The crust of the bread was so hard I could not cut through it with the provided table knife. I ended up scooping the bread out of the crust with the bites of meatball and marinara. There is a very nice but overworked lady who does all of the serving and busing for the restaurant. After my water glass was empty for over 20 minutes, I asked her for some water. She brought a pitcher, which was great! What was not so great was that as we were leaving, she took the now half-full pitcher of water and filled the glasses of a neighboring table. Sanitation anyone? We hadn’t done anything to the water… but how did she know? In general, the food is not bad… pretty decent most of the time. But the lack of service, inconsistency and high prices have made this my last visit.

I have mixed feelings about this place. The food was only so-so but I had a really great time eating there with my family. It’s a small restaurant located in Kingston’s main street that leads to the ferry dock. You can sometimes watch the cars line up outside for the ferry. Six of us ate here on a Wednesday night so it wasn’t really busy. There was one other table of 4 people, and while we were there, several people came in to pick up their takeout orders. Our service was great and our waitress was patient and professional when taking our orders. The meals arrived 1 or 2 at a time so some of us got to eat before the others. Our server brought out a large plate of garlic bread but we had to ask for it twice. I got my oil and vinegar dressing but my actual salad never arrived. I ordered the spinach and cheese ravioli and for the most part, it was ok. It came covered with too much white sauce. It looked like ravioli soup. It’s not something I would ever order again. I really wished I had ordered the spaghetti. I don’t think you can mess that up too much. My husband got the seafood linguine and he thought it was pretty tasty. Everyone else at the table seemed satisfied with their meal. The portions were generous and filling. The atmosphere at this restaurant is friendly and homey. I had a great time with my family when we ate here but it sure wasn’t because of the food.

If you are looking for a pleasant Italian dining experience in Kingston, you would be better off at the Pizza Factory up the street — or making your own at home. We decided to dine at Luna Bella Ristorante in Kingston(absolutely not to be confused with Bella Luna Pizza in Suquamish) for our Friday night out. The very small dining room was pretty full, and although we’d been here ages ago, we didn’t remember why we wouldn’t go back, until we sat down tonight. The dining room was full, not because of amazing food or service, but lack thereof. There was one hostess/waitress/busser, and one person in the kitchen. They offer an extensive menu, with all the dishes you would expect to see at an Italian restaurant, and had a decent list of specials in the $ 15 — $ 20 range. The hostess/waitress/busser greeted us and pointed us to one of the two available booths and we took our seats. About fifteen minutes later, she reappeared and took our drink, appetizer and dinner orders. No water, no bread. She brought us our salads from a bag, which were served with the dressing in a plastic cup w/lid on the side. We both ordered blue cheese. It smelled funny, and just didn’t look right… clumpy and stringy. Neither of us felt comfortable eating it. She never came back to check on us, until bringing out our entrees about five minutes apart at which point she noticed the salads virtually untouched. I explained that I didn’t feel comfortable with the blue cheese, and she tried to reassure me saying«It’s blue cheese!» I politely declined a different dressing, using my entrée as an excuse. The pasta itself was acceptable, but the Alfredo sauce was mediocre at best. It lacked flavor and was too, thin. No complaints about the chicken. My partner was not impressed with his steak. It was undercooked and resting on a bed of obviously previously-frozen green beans. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen them at Costco. In my opinion, if you’re craving Italian food — save your money and make it yourself, even if you can’ t cook. I would have been much better off buying a jar of Alfredo, a box of pasta, and that grilled chicken and making my own dinner. The wine glasses were like sports bar wine glasses, not dinner wine glasses. Mind you, had I been IN a sports bar and ordered a Merlot, that’s what I would expect. We got our check, paid and left, never to return. This was quite possibly the worst dining experience we’ve had in several years. Overpriced, mediocre food and pretty awful service. I felt kinda bad for them, but even worse that I just spent three hours of wages for a meal I could have prepared better myself.
