Stopped in while waiting to be picked up from the ferry. So glad I did! I waited for my ride with a delicious latte and a moist scone. Inside is small but quaint and comfy outdoor seating too. The staff were pleasant and I really enjoyed myself. I will be coming back to be sure.

I like this coffee shop. Good mix of people, isn’t busy, comfortable seating and good coffee.

Visited here this morning and had great friendly service and a great cup of coffee. I tried the other place at the top of the stairs yesterday and service was great and the coffee was good but too bold for my taste.

Coffee is great but the staff is wonderful. Recommend it over Drifters coffee anyday or that Shack near near the big steps going to the marina.

Great coffee! Such a fun cute little place for a quick coffee, then off to the ferry. A little dark inside but it feels cozy. Very good desserts, salads, muffins, and sandwiches!

Can’t wait to get to Seattle and grab a Vivace when back in town. Can’t seem to find a good espresso shop north of 85th N. If you desperate for coffee, do it, if not, wait. Coffee here is not par.

This place had decent drip coffee that was easily accessible near the register so it was quick. Average prices. They have some breakfast and lunch sandwich options but I’d go to the crêpe place across the street or food instead. The inside seating is cozy and has lots of places for only 1 – 2 people to sit. Probably not good for a large group. A few nice comfy chairs.

Great staff. Great atmosphere. Great coffee. What else could you ask for? Perfect for taking some time to just relax.

Went here last Sat. Girl behind the counter was most unpleasant. Nasty, really. Ordered 2 croissants with ham, egg, and cheese and 1 with the hash brown, egg, and cheese. 3 drip coffees. We asked for real cups and the girl looked at us like we were crazy. Yeah, I want to drink my coffee from a real cup when I am eating in your place. Grudgingly, she gave us 3 cups — 2 bigger than the other. After we get our«dark roast» coffee — which was a joke, tasted more like water — counter woman tells us she doesn’t have what we ordered. Huh? So…the 3 of us got the hash brown croissant. Don’t bother. Tasteless, over cooked, bacon that I don’t think was cooked at all prior to placing on the sandwich, etc. Coffee is sub-par at best and not worth bothering with. No need to go here again — EVER.

Girl was unfriendly, slow, and made my drink wrong. How hard is an almond latte? Place was clean and cute, but really tiny. coffee was okay. Go somewhere else.

Comfy«mom & pop» business, roast coffee on-site with lots of coffee blends, ice cream, sandwiches, breakfast items and tons of home made baked goods daily. Great prices and service, lines can be long if a ferry wait group is in but it’s pretty cyclical events, say every 40 min. Can get fast self-service drip coffee available for those on the go!

Not a friendly or hospitable establishment. Would find a better place to spend your money.

This place serves coffee. That’s about all I can say. You’re kinda in a place where, well, it’s not particularly limiting unless you’re already in line. The coffee is mediocre, and for a coffeeshop, that kinda stands out when there isn’t much else that you would order. Mocha was, okay. Luckily, I do feel rewarded, for, like, the most boring review ever. Come here, have a cup of mediocre coffee, and be pleased, because, after all, you’re drinking hot coffee. Take the ferry back, have better coffee in the city, probably. 2.5 stars would be more appropriate, like, right in the middle. Thanks(a lot) for listening to this one!

My visit was supposed to be a quick stop to get [already brewed] coffee to go while waiting on the ferry line. It was the end of a long holiday weekend, lots of people waiting for the ferry, and only one person working at this shop. Only two people in front of me were enough to push my wait way longer than I had expected. The person driving had to get off the line and drive around the block a couple of times to wait for me to get two brewed coffees. The coffee was supposed to be fresh, but didn’t taste very fresh. It was coffee after all, and it seemed to do the trick of keeping me alert long enough to make it back home. I would give this place another shot, perhaps, if I find myself stranded near a Majestic Mountain coffee place, and IF there are no other coffee options around.

Great location but very stale and boring feel to the café/restaurant. Nothing stood out from the menu. Wouldn’t come again.

In sum, slacker, bordering on obnoxious service and burnt coffee beans brewed into coffee that had sat too long to be served. Sorry to say it, but for a place that advertizes«quite possibly the world’s finest coffee» they fall somewhat short. They may be starting out with great beans and good intentions, but if a visit there on Saturday afternoon, waiting for the Edmonds ferry is any indication, it’s not worth crossing the street for a cup of drip. Bad sign number one: it doesn’t smell like coffee when you walk in. Bad sign number two: the clerk mumbles his greeting, barely looking up. Bad sign number three: in answer to which is your lightest roast he looks puzzled and randomly points to thermos #2 and says«this one.» I say, «but it says ‘dark roast»”. He shrugs. «That’s what sells.» Wishing to give the roaster(not present) the benefit of the doubt and wishing to support a local business, I purchase a cup, but with the nagging feeling that I should just leave. It proves to be worse than I could have guessed. Not only roasted to burnt crisp, but then allowed to sit until it was stale. At least the drip under the sign of the mermaid is fresh and burnt. I took a sip, and once outside poured the rest on the ground. I hope I didn’t kill any plants. Next time, listen to my gut, I tell myself. When will roasters learn that more burnt is not always more better? As Sweet Maria says, the goal of roasting is to render the beans«Caramelized, not carbonized.»
