LaCenterra has many great options so we decided to try something new. Unfortunately, as we walked in, the server was not welcoming, service was rushed, and the waiter kept rolling his eyes as I asked simple questions about the menu. The server had poor customer service skills and I would suggest management to re consider retraining their team. Unfortunately, I do not think we will be returning or recommend it to anyone. Poor service and attitude is what drives customers away.

They did a fairly good job replicating the original. The staff is great and the food is good. It is a good choice for the family night out.

the look and name alone got us in the door. it’s a very charming Italian place with red and white picnic tablecloths for that gave it a touch of country/casual ambiance. plenty of seating in and out, just a massive open floor on one end that really opens the place up. but looks alone don’t conjure stars as nothing else memorable struck me by the time I left. as is typical for any Italian place these days, excellent extra virgin olive oil and slices of ciabatta with Italian herbs were a nice start. we tried the crab claws next since they sounded interesting. I’ve never had them already shelled! that was super convenient. big crowd pleaser for both of us. they were good with the spicy butter sauce to dip in. it wasn’t too spicy, just about the same as a mild salsa. i will absolutely order that again for 9.99! we looked for something to split as we weren’t looking for a big meal, and settled for the antipasto pizza based on the ingredients. looked pretty good. «prosciutto, pancetta, pepperoni, onion, red bell pepper, olives & mozzarella cheese with marinara sauce». it was nothing special. it was so heavy with the toppings and the crust was not crispy enough to hold it. the traditional folding down the middle to eat a slice didn’t work well as everything squeezed out, so a fork got the job done. you could blame it on the very sub par, not-all-melted mozzarella, maybe? there wasn’t enough zest from the sauce either. was the sliced onion raw? the red peppers almost too? it may have been that the whole thing was undercooked, but the toppings just seemed cheap and this particular pizza didn’t work. see for yourself in my picture, there is no char/bubbling to the cheese or anything really. will go for somethings else next time. I actually took it home and reheated it in the toaster oven and tried to get it crisp but for some reason it wouldn’t, unlike how pizzas normally do in our oven. the bottom stayed soft, weird. and again, the cheap cheese was just so rubbery it didn’t taste better a second time either. not certain I would come back, there wasn’t anything i was dying to try or feeling regretful about not getting. oh, and the service was outstanding so keep a star.

This place is great for the location if you have kids because they can run around outside but the food and service is not great. The hostess has been rude both times lately — not sure why they would put someone in that position for a first impression. The food is not very fresh or good but is doable in exchange for the location.

Ehhh. Been to this place many times, food is 3 – 4 stars, not bad but not great either. Service usually was the same as the food, a 3 – 4 stars, until our last visit which is the subject of this review, a big fat ZERO! Went with my wife and two boys, guy came and took drink orders, I asked for sparkling water he came back with regular, it happens, so I told him and he corrected it. We ordered, he got the kids food out and said that’s it for tonight, right? I thought he’s kidding because me and my wife ordered two dishes, with sides and salads! But he was actually serious! HELLO! He said it’s been a long day and took the orders again, which was a good 20 minutes after he initially got our orders, believe it or not now, when I tell you he came back after 10 minutes to double check what we ordered, seriously? My wife got really mad and we were debating whether we should ask for a manager and leave, and I gave the guy the benefit of the doubt and told her he might have a medical problem, because seriously; how could he have possibly just forgot that we ordered two dishes, with sides and salads and we even asked him what dressings they had, then comes out again to check what we ordered for the second time, unless he either have a medical problem or drunk! So I said let’s wait and see but another mistake we’ll talk with the manager. Shortly after he came with food and it was what we ordered and he said he’ll take the kids food off our ticket for the inconvenience, I thought great, something is definitely wrong but at least he’s trying to make it right. He then came by and we asked him to get a gelato for one of the boys, he asked what flavor and my son said that he wanted Vanilla, I mean there was a conversation about it! 10 minutes after he comes by and asks if we needed anything else? I told him we already asked for the gelato a while ago and he said he doesn’t remember at all! So we asked for the manager at that point and explained the whole thing, I told the manager the guy might have a medical problem and the manager apologized and actually voided the charges because we had already paid and said it’s on them tonight because of the inconvenience. Great, right? Wrong. While walking out of the restaurant the guy was at the bar and as I walked in front of him he looked at me and said«don’t come again»… Are you kidding me? I mean seriously? That almost put me over the edge but the manager came quickly and walked him into the kitchen, nobody cared to come out and apologize, I told the other waiters that we’d definitely not come again and walked away. While getting in the car I saw the guy coming from behind the bar and still serving tables, clearly the management has zero care for their customers sending him back out to deal with customers, at least right after this incident. Update: the waiter’s name on the ticket is Mitchell…

My husband and I came here for dinner. I ordered the crawfish ravioli and he has the pasta pomodoro. The ravioli came with about 6 ravioli squares stuffed full of deliciousness, with the extra crawfish in the middle of the plate. While my plate was just semi-hot, myy husband’s dish was steaming hot — which he loved. My peach bellini was great — a good mixture of alcohol to ice ratio and came with a 64 cent mixed drink tax. Who knew? While the food was good, the experience overall was sub par. Our waitress, Rachel, did not seem to know what she was doing, which on the norm is fine, but she kept forgetting her job. She messed up her lines, would ask us if we needed anything and LEAVE before we even had a chance to answer. I had to call her back and ask for more bread, which she didnt remember until after i finished my dinner. She checked on us only that one time during our entire dinner. My husband had to ask her to refill our water as well.

Went there last night to celebrate my wife’s birthday! Amazing excellent! Our table was ready on time, they even accommodated for 2 extra friends that came last minute which was great. Our sever was awesome, she was attentive and made some great recommendations. The food was yummy and fresh. I definitely recommends the Chicken Asiago and you might want to sub out and get the Fettuccine Alfredo with it, totally worth it. Thank you to the entire team at D’Amicos.

We had a great waitress and incredible food! We love this place and we only visit every other month bc it’s a drive from our house. It’s totally worth it! I don’t understand the bad reviews but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Mine is… This place is bellisimo!

I don’t understand the bad reviews. Both times I came here both servers were amazing! A bit chatty but it’s all bueno. Food was amazing, always consistant, arrived quickly, hot and just as expected. I love the open kitchen concept as well. They only outsource two items, that’s the bread(from Slow Dough) and gelato, both are which amazing. Location was clean both times I went. Their Cream of Mushroom… amazing! It’s a special, everyday they have Tomato Basil and a Soup of the Day. For parents with an infant car sear, be seated in the booths to the right, rather than the left, they don’t really fit in the booths to the left side of the room. Also, kids eat free Mondays! $ 5 kids meals are still a pretty good price. They carry Pepsi products btw. Definitely will be a regular here!

Went for my second visit this past weekend and will absolutely be coming again! On our first visit we intended to go the fancy pizza joint right around the corner, but were give 1.5 hour wait… yeah right. Went to D’amicos instead and was seated immediately. All the pasta is made in house and the pizza rivals the joint across the sidewalk, if not better… So far we’ve had the Antipasto Pizza, Margherita Pizza, fettuccini alfredo(THEBEST) and the linguini with clam sause. Both times ive intended to have desert, but couldn’t fit anymore. Gonna make a special trip just for the Gelato and Cannoli!!! Kristen has waited on me both times I’ve been and she did a great job.

The atmosphere is absolutely wonderful. We dined in the patio area and the weather was delightful. 5 Stars. The waitress was very friendly and inviting. 4 Stars. The food was not too bad, but certainly wasn’t what we expected. I had the PENNEASPARAGUS and this was pretty good. Healthy, yet flavorful. 3STARS The TOMATOBASILSOUP was delicious! Super creamy and smelled as good as it tasted. 5STARS My significant other ordered CHICKENBRACIOLENTINI… Truthfully, the flavor was disgusting. I was so glad I did not order it. 1 Stars. 3+5+1=9÷3=3 THEAVERAGEBASEDONFOOD: 3STARS

Skip the pizzas the rest of the food was ok. What leads me to leave only 2 stars for this place is that the service was close to the worst I have had in Katy. The part that made it really bad was the fact that we could see our order under the warming lights for about 10 minutes but our waiter was no where to be found. I was about 1 minute from walking up and serving myself when the manager and cook had another waitress bring out our food. My fault for not looking at the reviews beforehand. Wanted to try this place for awhile and I wish I was still wanting to.

It’s hard not to compare one location to another chain, but I definitely am a fan of D’Amico’s food and desserts. The service on the other hand is what keeps me from giving this Katy location more stars. I am a big fan of the D’Amico Rice location. I fell in love with them at first bite, and now to have one closer to me in Katy, I was so excited. However… The service here is a little on the green side. I’m not talking like eco-friendly green; more like the need for more mature and experienced staff. I’ve noticed this a lot in the Katy restaurants. While the young staff may be friendly and eager, they often lack the poise and professionalism that you may get elsewhere. Specific examples of inexperienced staff include: 1. awkwardness in the waiting for your table to be cleaned. Save yourself some uncomfortable eye contact while all 4(yes) hostesses wait on the 1 other person to clear your table. Just stand off to the side, but be sure not to lose your spot in the invisible line when more patrons walk up to be seated. 2. be prepared to not see your waiter very frequently during your dining visit. Also things to note: While they have a «Market Café», I was told I could NOT purchase any of their wines to-go, even though these bottles were stocked on the same grocery items on the shelves. And instead of saying that the wines are for«in-store/restaurant consumption», the staff kept repeating that she would have to ring it up, pour it into a cup and if I left that would be my choice. Umm… okay. gotcha. But the food is pretty good. I had a generous portion of the meat lasagna, and while the sliced bread they bring you is neither flavorful or warmed, it is nice to dip it into their olive oil.(Ask for balsalmic and swirl it in). And you must get a slice of their chocolate mousse cake. It is divine. Overall, if there are some seasoned servers/trainers out there, please go help out this staff. Because it’s a great location. Just the folks working there could use a little un-greening…
