Sat at a table for an hour and a half then had a rude bouncer take the table away to rest his stack of cups. Lost our business… good choice pizza bar.

By far the worst pizza I have had in my life! I would give this place negative stars if I could. First of all the pizza was cold/burnt and 4 slices and drinks were $ 25. I would never come back here and I don’t recommend anyone else to come here when in the area. Avoid at all costs, please don’t waste your money.

Always come here on Tuesdays for karaōke and pop a shot. Bad news. Pop a shot is broken.

A place for pizza and a couple beers, can’t complain. Good location and you can always grab a slice so it’s a nice late night option.

During game 5 of the World Series there was a line stretching all the way around the bar but moved quickly. The pizza on the other hand was terribly underwhelming. You can buy it by the slice which is nice but $ 3.50 per slice of cheese or pepperoni is too pricey for the quality. Don’t let the pizzaiolos behind the counter, hand-tossing dough, fool you. Just because the dough is hand-tossed doesn’t mean its of quality. The pizza comes out looking like it would if you bought it from the grocery store and baked it in your oven. The sauce is the only redeeming quality at the Pizza Bar. The crust is bland and the cheese has little flavor. Next time I go to P&L, I will opt to spend more money at another bar in hopes that Kansas City’s upscale nightlife spot has more to offer than expensive food and beverages.

I ate at Pizza Bar once about 6 months ago, and it was memorably bad. The slices are large, but the dough has no substance. It was one of the first pizza places I ate in KC, and it discouraged me away from the pizza scene for a while. Sure, it’s drunk pizza, but I don’t really even want it when I’m drunk.

Pizza bar is always my last stop while happy hour hoping. Not only is the karaōke on Tuesdays nights the Bomb but they always have a cell phone charger to charge up our babys. Karaōke man is always fun but he never has new songs. The prices aren’t bad and the bartenders are always friendly. The pizza is mediocre but hey, when you’re past the point of being tipsy who cares? You can also get it to go.

I came here after a concert from the sprint center. It gets very crowded after large events. Do NOT go during the karaōke nights. Its too loud with the most abnoxious singing that I had to leave to Johnnys Tavern next door. The pizza isnt too bad, for a tipsy evening it’ll hit the spot for sure. I had the Hawaiian pizza and took off the onrions, it was pretty good. People are right about the bathrooms too. Gross.

The beer is fine, but everyone is right in that there is a general lack of presence of the staff. Ordered a large 2 topping pizza for $ 20. Waited 25 minutes and they called our number(keep in mind it was not crowded at all at the time) and the pizza was COLD! I will be avoiding this place when I come to pnl from now on.

We walked into the Pizza Bar on a Thursday night. There were very few people in the whole place. We sat ourselves only feet from the bar where 2 bartenders were working and only about 10 people at the bar. I heard the bartender tell one of her customers«I’m not going over there to help them.» We patiently waited to be helped and ended up receiving no service. This place appeared extremely overrated anyway. There was pizza in a pizza warmer, and food left on a table we walked by appeared burned. I wish I could tell you if the food was worth the $$$ however we never had the opportunity to try it.

This place is a mess. Bad service and the bathrooms are gross. Ambience gets it the 2 stars. If P&L would stop with their use of corporate restaurants things could be much better. Spend the extra money and go to Cleaver & Cork. It’s the first independent restaurant in the Power & Light District.

They have a four player Pac-Man game. Bar was really crowded, but service was really fast. Will be back!

You can drink, eat, dance, watch sports in this casual sports bar. Has a college feel to it with apathetic bartenders and a younger crowd of patrons. A place for a low key night to grab a beer, catch up with friends, and watch a game. The bar itself is very spacious with lots of tables/booths and high ceilings.

Bar? Nightclub? Pizza restaurant? Uh, yeah… I guess so? Pizza Bar is located in the heart of the Power & Light District; their main entrance is inside the covered plaza with the stage and big projection screen. I Wound up here with a large group of other out-of-towners visiting KC for a conference. While it wouldn’t have been my first choice, this place does have a LOT of space plus pizza, beer, and loud music. After perusing the menu for awhile and finally deciding on a specialty pizza, we were informed(once we flagged down a passing server, because no one was ‘waiting’ our table) that they were no longer doing any regular menu items. Only individual slices of pepperoni or cheese pizza($ 3.50 each) are available after a certain time, apparently. Oh well, I really just needed something to help soak up the beer I’d been consuming, so a couple of slices for $ 7 did the trick– and the pizza was OK. Not a place I’d recommend or be eager to return to, but I wouldn’t steer clear either.

They don’t have corona. Okay. But don’t roll your eyes and be a stupid bitch about it. Service sucks, beer sucks. Don’t come here. Period. Unless you want to deal with bartenders who are pmsing.

Every time I go to a show at PnL I drink at the Pizza Bar. Relatively cheap drinks, friendly bartenders, and a fun atmosphere. Never tried the pizza but its a good bar without a cover if you’re there for the night just to drink and wander around.

What’s safe here? Beer. The way the bathroom looks and smells makes me ponder about the rest of the establishment. Always has room to sit though. This place needs a little cleaning then I’ll stop freaking about the rest.

Its late. Youre drunk. Youre in the P&L. Youre hungry. Youre drunk. Its late. Youre drunk. My friend who actually ate a pepperoni pizza said thats some f*cking good pizza man! He was drunk. It was late. He was hungry. We were in the P&L. He was drunk. Lots of places to sit when its empty. Service was on par with the P&L… haha It is what it is. Stop complaining.

So, we decided to hit up Pizza Bar before a concert at Power and Light. This was a bad idea. Yes, it serves what probably qualifies as pizza(it has a crust, tomato sauce and cheese) and beer therefore meeting the namesake requirements of pizza and bar. However, the pizza is pretty atrocious — even when drunk. The crust is flimsy and the toppings are laughable. Not to mention, I didn’t get the ones I asked for — pepperoni, sausage and banana peppers comes out as a bit of sausage conservatively sprinkled on a few slices and bell peppers. Methinks I won’t be eating there again. Drink prices are about what you’d expect for Power and Light, but there is nothing that makes this bar stand out from any of the other options. Move next door to Johnny’s for a better time, in my opinion.
