This place has a really stellar concept. They keep a wide and SUPER unique variety on tap, while also having just an unfathomable cooler and dry storage selection of bottles and bombers(in both 4 or 6 or 12 ect. packs or the ‘mix and match your own 6 or 4 pack of singles.) The food selection, while slightly limited(think brats and charcuterie-esque) is all super high quality, usually(maybe all?) locally sourced product, and executed perfectly every single time we’ve ordered here. They have a cool upstairs inside deck that’s great for winter, and a new, large outdoor patio area. Almost every time I go, I make a puppy-friend out there as they are very dog friendly on the patio. The demographic is usually mid-20’s to mid-40’s, very hip but very laid back and social, friendly esprit de corps. would make for a fun date night, or just a fun place to unwind and try something new. Even if you think you’ve had it all, Bier Station will have something you’ve never tried before(Pinky promise!).

Good atmosphere. I don’t drink but went with a group of co workers and they all enjoyed the atmosphere and beer

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this place. They had some great micro beers, one that would fit just about anyone’s taste. Very clean, spacious and the staff were amazing. Large beer cooler, plenty of selections and food was coming out of the kitchen left and right pretty quickly. I didn’t eat but didn’t hear any complaints from anyone. Parking was easy.

It had been a while since we stopped in… Taking a walk around the neighborhood we’s decided that we needed a beer to reward ourselves for exercising! Wonderful experience as always! Emily is absolutely the best of the best! Always has a smile, so helpful and friendly!

My dad calls this place his second office. It’s true! He does a lot of business here. The family all met up here one evening for drinks and supper. We samples a range of beer on draft(love the 4 oz pour option) and got some sandwiches. The bread at this place is delicious. If you are looking for a laid-back vibe with a great beer selection, try this place.

From IPA’s to Stouts, this is the place to be! This is a taproom filled with crafted beers on tap plus bottles! You won’t be seeing your Bud lights and Millers here! NOPE! They have a wide range of local beers to micro– brews and crafted beers from all around! If you want to expand your love and taste for beers, this is just the place for you. They have beers for all kinds of taste buds, from hoppy to sweet and tart to bold. From coast to coast. The food is not my favorite here. German inspired pub food and sausages from Affare(local KC restaurant) I wouldn’t suggest coming here for a meal… Maybe something to snack on will you drink? Like fries or totes. Once again this is a taproom not a restaurant so don’t get too excited when you see a menu. Don’t get too disappointed when the food isn’t so great. Just know one should just come here and enjoy a beer or two, or three… or four… Hell just get a flight! lol

Great selection of beers. I really like the digital menu as well. Staff is super friendly and remembered what I had ordered before. Color me impressed. I also really liked that you can get a 4 oz or a larger pour. Nice way to check out a variety of beers. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was the price of the food. I’ve seen that they will be expanding their food menu soon which is awesome! I’ll be back here many more times in the future.

Bier Station is another reason why I wish I lived closer to the Waldo area. As a self-proclaimed craft beer aficionado, if I lived within walking distance, I would be here A LOT. Bier Station has a relaxed, neighborhood hangout feel to it, which is definitely what I prefer to the loud, I-have-to-yell-to-be-heard type clubs and bars. This is a great place to have a beer or three and catch up with friends. Their tap list seems to be ever changing and while their food menu isn’t expansive, their brats sure are delicious. I also like that they have a wall of coolers full of beer that you can choose to enjoy at Bier station or to take home and enjoy. And I love the fact that I am guaranteed to be able to try a beer that I have never had before each time I visit Bier Station. Solid hangout spot that I am hoping to make a regular in my rotation!

Great selection of local beers as well as hard to find special releases. The taps are all linked online so you can see what is pouring at any given time. All the staff members and the owner are very friendly, more than happy to help you find a good new craft to try. All in all, one of the best places to relax and enjoy a brew with friends in town.

We love this place! My husband loves trying the rotating taps, and their food is really tasty. Plus, they have games to play and it’s kid friendly as well as dog friendly. Some of the beers can be pretty pricey if you don’t get them to go, but it’s overall a great place with a great vibe.

Full disclosure: if you think of cocktails or wine when you think of a bar, you will be disappointed. Bier Station lives up to its name and only serves beer. That said, for a beer lover such as myself, this is by far the best bar in Kansas City. The beer selection is unmatched, both draft and bottle, and they sell bottles both poured in house and to go. Events are common, varied, and celebrate the culture of beer. Their food incorporates beer in many creative ways, and showcases local companies wherever possible. The staff is extremely helpful, and just as important, extremely knowledgeable on the beer they serve. If you want a good beer in Kansas City and don’t want to stop by one of our many breweries and brewpubs, this is the place to go.

The beer selection is ever-rotating and never ceases to impress. John, is amazing and he runs an awesome shop worth a stop by. The food menu is small but very good. Excited to see it expand!

My time spent at Bier Station was by far one of my favorite memories during my visit to Kansas City(the game at Arrowhead takes first place of course). They have happy hour Mon-Fri from 11−4PM. 20% off taps & bottles. Please don’t come here expecting to order some Budlight or Miller. Bier Station offers a variety of craft beers. You can either grab a bottle/can from the fridge area or order a beer they have on tap. You can also come here to purchase beer to go. My friend and I chose to try out some beer they were offering on tap. I really liked the tv screen located above the bar, which provided all the details of the draft beer available. It made ordering so simple. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They knew we were from out of town to watch the game AND that we were rooting for the opposing team, yet they made us feel right at home. They were knowledgeable of all the beers available and didn’t mind giving us recommendations based on our preferences. It was extremely easy to engage in conversation with these folks. My friend and I had quite a few 4oz pours and then each ordered a 16oz glass of our favorite. Our bill came out to be $ 17 total! What a steal! A pint of a craft beer back in DC is usually around $ 8 – 10 in itself. Everything we tried was great. This would definitely be a regular spot for me if I lived in KC.

First trip to Bier Station was great success! It’s been a very long time since I’ve been to a bar with as many beers I’ve never tried. Great local selections and great unique selections from around the country(and world!). Lots of different selections for each style of beer also. The prices are on par with everywhere else. You’re coming here to get expensive craft beer though, you know that. I did a bunch of the 4oz pours so I could try many different beers. I noticed everyone calling them ½ pours when they’re really like 1⁄3 pour? Or even ¼ pour if we are talking about pints… I digress. I ordered a bratwurst, the Union Station to be specific. It was fantastic, but it was also $ 8. I love beer and bratwurst and craft/local foods but I almost guarantee I will never find a bratwurst worth $ 8. All the food was crazy expensive, but hipsters will pay for it… They had a great firkin tapped while I was here, something you couldn’t get anywhere else, literally anywhere, and it was from a Kansas brewery. Awesome. It seemed like Kansas City’s entire craft beer community was here when I was. Fantastic place with great beer selections and food selections although expensive, especially on the food side. Bartenders were awesome, even the owner served me a beer or two and was super friendly. You can get beer to go, six packs, bottles, cans, bombers, whatever you want. And they have a super cool«4 season» room even though it was overrun with small children when I went. Still on a quest to find a bar here with 50+ taps but I’m beginning to realize I probably never will…

Hands down, this is my favorite place to grab a craft beer. This place carries a great selection of beers on tap and retail. It’s a laid back atmosphere, which is perfect for just about anyone. I’ve been here on separate occasions with co-workers, my toddler, my friends… This place just works for me. Want to chill with friends, beer, and appetizers? Check Want to play some Settlers of Catan and throw down a beer flight? Check Enjoy a variety of beers with reasonable 4 oz pour prices? Check You can’t go wrong with Bier Station, and as long as I live in KCMO, I will frequent this incredible establishment.

I think the concept of this place is fantastic. There are SO many different beers to choose from either on tap or from the coolers lining the wall with a ton of bottle options. The price is a little higher than I like to pay, but for the selection, it’s a good special occasion place. We got a bunch of food as well and everything was delicious. Friday night got pretty packed, but I saw there was an upstairs patio that we didn’t check out. Any place with craft beers and good food is a-okay in my book!

Neat place that looks like everyone there was enjoying, just not my cup of tea. A little trendy meets liquor store meets dog park.

Friendly & inviting environment. We come out here all the time to experience selections of local, national & international brews. Taste anything you want before ordering a full pour. They also have coolers to buy selections to take home or even open to enjoy there. Nice german-influenced menu(great soft pretzels). There’s always some special event coming up. Check it out, just leave me a pour of sour!

Bier Station is a wonderful neighborhood tap room and package store. Sample anything on the wall of 28 rotating taps, then grab a bottle to enjoy at home. They also offer a light menu of sandwiches and sides that complement the brews. One outstanding sandwich is the Harrison, a vegetarian(!) offering that is this meat –eaters favorite. The bartenders are knowledgeable without being pretentious, and very friendly. This is my favorite bar in Kansas City, hands-down.

It’s Friday after work and my lovely wife and I are looking for a watering hole that has a beer selection as wide as the Missouri River! Bier Station answered this bill… but what is this??? I spy on their food menu«Thuringer» bratwurst! Now to the normal Johnson, Carlson or Smith this isn’t a big deal but to this full blooded German with the last name of THURINGER it was fantastic! I have had Thuringer sausage many times before but never a bratwurst so, of course, I had to order one. I chose the«Brookside» which was the Thuringer name sake brat drizzled with wasabi-mayo and topped with ponzu red cabbage slaw. As I waited for my food to arrive I started to fear that this would be a mushy flavorless piece of tube steak and that people who had tried this before had a bad representation of Thuringers everywhere. Just then the magnificent bratwurst arrived. Beautiful presentation, size and portion were as I expected and the brat was nested in a pretzel bun which was delicious. The toppings were abundant but not messy, the wasabi-mayo had a mild kick and the red cabbage added a crunch aspect to the whole meal. Now to the bratwurst itself, it was cooked perfectly and had great flavors. It was juicy and firm like every good brat should be. Yes this bratwurst has lived up to the name that is «Thuringer» and as far as I am concerned they can continue using it on the menu!
