Domino’s Pizza

We did carry out on a Thursday night. It was 7.99 for 3 toppings. That’s a pretty good bargain. However, they barely put any sauce or cheese on their pizza. It was really dry.

Like getting your pizza in less than an hour & have it delivered? Pick another place. While it is still par with all dominos when it comes to their food the service is a no go. When I called the store after it had been an hour since order and half hour since the tracker said it was out of the oven I was told that it JUST left. But couldn’t be given an estimate as to when it would be here since the driver had lots of orders.

Ordered 2 pizzas and parm bread bites for delivery. Parm bites did not come with the delivery. One pizza was burnt with less than minimal feta. The other pizza was cut in a less than edible way. Called the store and was on hold for 30 minutes. No apology. Said they would redeliver our order but took over an hour.

Not a fan of their pizzas, chicken pieces, cheese sticks. I did enjoy their sandwiches. But everything else is a no go!

I love the subs! Delivery is quick and service is always pleasant. I highly suggest not ordering the pizza but instead one of their delicious sub sandwiches in addition to the AMAZING lava cake. In addition to great service they give you a timer so you can watch your meal in real time as it goes through the process of being made all the way through delivery. Michelle is a manager at my store and I adore her because I get superior quality when she is working.

Do you like Domino’s? Because this is Dominos. They’re fast, friendly, and affordable (unless you get crazy with toppings). I like the online ordering and tracking. But it’s pizza and wings… Nothing special.

So forget about the stereotypes of people working at places like Dominos. These are hands down the best and most professional folks I have met working at a fast food/​quick service restaurant. I just ordered a pizza for take out but the folks there treated me super well and made me a great pizza. Its hard to say that at many fast food joints. Not here. I will be going here more often. Tasty and very nice, professional people.

Domino’s has seriously stepped up their game in the past few years. The pan pizza is downright delicious. I was at a party about a year ago and somebody brought Domino’s pizza: everybody was sort of like, «oh, great, cardboard.» But as soon as we cracked the boxes everybody was saying, «wait, this is Domino’s?»
Is it better than Pizza Hut? Yes. Is it better than Papa John’s? Yes. Is it better than or as good as Waldo Pizza? No, not really. But if Waldo Pizza, probably a ¹⁰⁄₁₀ for Kansas City area pizza, is the best KC offers, Domino’s pan pizza is a strong 8, and their regular crust pizza is a 7. The crust and sauce, what makes any pizza great, good, mediocre, or terrible, is the key. Whatever they did to change up their recipe changed the whole pizza much for the better. The white sauce and the red sauce are both good options. I haven’t tried the BBQ.
Toppings selection is ok at best, but still better than I expected. I typically go for veggie options and I wish they had more veggies available.
I haven’t tried any of their sandwiches or their sort of terrifying bread pasta bowl things (that Jim Gaffigan bit just rings too loud in my head), so I can’t comment on those.
The ordering process, meaning their web site, is about as good as it gets. Easy to maneuver and select toppings, decent coupons readily available, and the «status of your order» graphics are actually sort of amusing.
Delivery from the 72^nd & Wornall location has been super fast (I’m only 5 blocks away) and the drivers have always been nice. I haven’t been to the store itself, except I’ve driven past it a few times.
Overall: I can actually and without hesitation recommend Domino’s pizza. In fact I have to my co-​workers who live in the area.
