The service at this SB was horrible today(6÷11÷16(around 8:45am). The woman at the register had absolutely no customer service skills(not even an attempt to smile) and had the attitude that she didn’t want to be there. I didn’t get her full name but it was Hawaiian and started with an «N». I attempted to order a cold brew(which they have advertisements plastered all over) she said they didn’t have any(no apology), and when I attempted to ask for a soy latte, began to tell me they didn’t have soy! Then, a second later said, «oh wait, maybe I have enough for your order.» She took forever to ring up my I order and when I asked her to use my reward for my drink she just looked at me and breathed a heavy sigh. After I paid, she didn’t offer me my receipt and by the time I remembered and came back to ask it, she threw it away and it couldn’t be recovered… No sorry, nothing! The only redeeming factor of this SB experience is that the barista was great. He had my drink ready before I even paid! And when I later asked for water, he was super nice and told me he would get it to me right away(even though he has other drink orders in queue). Perhaps customer service isn’t the best type of job for this woman… Or perhaps more training(and a mirror in the back to see what her RBF looks like).

This Starbucks is conveniently located in the Kailua Target. As soon as you walk in to Target, hook a left and there it is! There are tables for you to drink your coffee, tea, or smoothie. Target has wifi available. I decided to get something to drink because there was no one in line. I went up to the counter and was cheerfully greeted. I looked at the menu and saw that there was a new item, macchiato latte. I thought I would give it a try, since their caramel macchiato is one of my faves. The counter person let me know that it wasn’t sweet. Thank you for letting me know! I asked if they had any cold brew & they did! I ordered myself a venti with condensed milk. It came up within a minute. I took a sip, and what is usually a heavenly moment for me, was not. The cold brew tasted very bitter. Ok, before you all start schooling me on cold brew, don’t. I love cold brew! I make it at home. I have a bookmark list dedicated to cold brew. This just didn’t fast right. It was VERYBITTER. I walked around a bit trying to like, but alas, I just couldn’t. I went back to the counter & explained to them my problem. They apologised and offered me something else. I opted for just a raspberry iced tea. I know that it was cheaper, but I really needed something to get that bitter taste out of my mouth. The way the staff handled my issue was wonderful! I love that Starbucks is really committed to getting your drink right or giving you something else. I will definitely come back when I shop at Target! (13)

First I made sure this was for the Starbucks in target because other ones in Kailua are at least consistent with their product. This Starbucks was fine when it first opened I didn’t have any issue with my coffee there. But the last 3 – 4 coffees /latte I get here are TERRIBLE! Mostly they tasted like burned espresso but Today’s Flat white tasted like soap/cleaner was in it I had a friend try it to make sure I wasn’t crazy and it definitely has a weird taste and didn’t taste like coffee and whole milk at all! My throat hurts and nose is all stuffy now and I only had three drinks off it before I threw it out

I’ve only been here twice and they were both very different experiences. First experience was ok. I was the only one in line but all of the workers were either wiping things down or unpacking. Whatever they were doing… I had to wait a decent amount of time to be served. I should have just left but I was really craving a drink so I decided to give them a bit of time. Finally one of the workers served me and I ordered my drink. Blah blah blah. The second time was a little better. Again the workers were stocking and cleaning but the second I walked up to the counter, one of the workers completely stopped what he was doing and took my order. When he asked for my name I told him«Rae»(I use my mom’s name since its easier. No sense wasting time trying to spell out«Shanisse» to them. or «Nama”(family nickname). I tried using those names and the turn out was just pathetic. So from now on I use „Rae“. But anywho back to the story. I told him Rae, and he spelled „Ray?“ and I said yeah sure and he’s like wait! No… How do you spell it, I want to get it right.» I thought that was funny so I spelled it out to him. Small things like that that make the experience more enjoyable is always a plus. Maybe it’s just that I live in town and everything is a bit more fast-paced but workers on the east and west side really like to cruise through everything. Nothing wrong with that of course! I’m just used to being in and out and on to the next thing of stuff I have to do.

What happened? I thought all Starbucks were supposed to follow the same recipes on making fraps. Besides running out of the graham cracker topping for their S’mores Frap this morning, it was poorly made. Seemed like it lacked flavor and the barista didn’t bother cleaning the cup before handing it to us. So we had sticky hands. And then they had no Splenda for my coffee.(which apparently was out lastnight too). Really? How hard is it to call your manager and get some sweetener and other inventory items you are low on. I guess I can’t really blame the girls if it’s the manager’s job to reorder items and make sure they have it. But clean the messy and sticky cup before you give it to your customer. That’s on you, barista! Next time I’m craving for Starbucks, I’ll go out of my way and visit the other ones in Kailua.

Monica and Jennifer should have their own store! Monica has excellent customer service skills and recovery tools to provide a proper Starbucks experience. Jennifer actually called you by name when your drink is ready and handed you her barrista art with a smile.

Idk who helped the other people doing reviews, but I had the worst experience at this Starbucks. I’m in a rush to go to work, my girlfriend and I needed stuff from Target so we went. After grabbing what we needed I asked her to stand in line and pay for it, then I went to Starbucks to get a drink. I had to wait in line, as soon as its my turn to order I was greeted then I gave my order. Took my receipt and waited for my drink. I look at the people in front of my that ordered first, their order is ready. Then other people behind me starts picking up their order. Its very busy at this time, and there is 4 starbucks workers and 2 target workers helping the starbucks workers. One guy litterally just talking away behind the counter to the Target worker. They’re laughing having a good time. There was 5 – 8 people still in like and 6 – 8 before me. Guy still laughing it up with other workers. He runs in the side room and grabs some coffee. Continues to crack up with Target worker. 10 minutes go by, still talking up a storm and the other workers still giving out orders that were behind mine. Finally got fed up and asked for a refund, they PROMPTLY asked what my order was and they didn’t even have it on record to make. Then they give me an excuse of «Oh maybe someone took your order it was done long time ago» I said NOWAY, I was sitting right by the counter you guys put the drinks on, and there was no drink made like mine… They say sorry and ask what my order was. I just asked for a refund. I would have rather walked 2 blocks to the starbucks by jamba juice. I could have walked there and back to target by the time my gf finished paying the stuff in the target line.

After an early morning at work it was nice to sneak away for my Mocha Frappachino and they had a deal for 50% off breakfast sandwiches for members, I don’t usually get them but tried the Turkey Bacon white egg sandwich. It was hot, fresh tasting and filled me up. Service was quick and the barista was very sweet.

What can I say about this Starbucks that’s gonna be different from the rest of the others out there? The GREATCUSTOMERSERVICE!!! By far the happiest coffee place I’ve been at. This one is inside the new TARGET Kailua store. It’s not as comfortable as the one near the Financial Plaza in Honolulu but I still like it…
