Had a great time there this morning. Perfect service and delicious food. A few of the home fried potatoes were undercooked but that was just because we were the first ones in. The super fresh coffee made up for it!

I tried their chicken sandwich with fries and it was all quite tasty. The service was a bit on the slow side in the way casual cafes tend to be but it was also very attentive if that makes sense. A lot of the other patrons seemed local and they also seemed happy to be there. I’m going back to try different things on the menu.

Food was ok, not the greatest. Place is tiny and the acoustics suck; we could hardly hear ourselves talk because the noise level was high, and to top it off they music on top of the noise level which adds to the complexity of hearing one another talk. I ordered the chicken sandwich on sourdough with French Fries and iced tea, $ 15!!! I had better sandwiches at Subway for $ 5! While we waited for over 40 min for a table we asked if we could order iced teas while we waited, the waitress literally told us: «no, because if I have to stop to get you drinks I won’t have time for the customers already seated» — if it wasn’t for my friend’s wife already on her way to meet us there I would have told that waitress to go pound sand and left… Won’t eat there again…

I have been coming to Crossroads Café for years and finally decided to say how wonderful it is! The service and staff are excellent; the food is delicious. They have vegetarian options and good coffee and smoothies. One of my frequent stops in JT.

3.5 stars Personally I think their prices should justify for a decent serving size… lol I left hungry after I finished my sandwich, which came with a tiny bit of fries, and I ordered a beer. The sandwich I got versus what I saw on Unilocal pictures were pretty different, everything was wayyyyyyyyy smaller in serving size. I’ll admit their food is good, but not that worth it esp counting in the wait time… wait for 45 mins :(

Hands down, one of the best American restaurants! It was so good that my friend and I came here three times in a span of 24 hours. We ate breakfast, came back for dinner, then returned the next morning for brunch. Meal #1: Breakfast Burrito and Mike’s Mess. Breakfast burrito is very simple(just cheese and eggs) but very flavorful. Mike’s Mess is an omelette but looked more like a fluffy frittata. I also chose banana bread on the side, and that was super moist and had the perfect balance of banana and spices. Meal #2: Tom Tom Club Sandwich, Mac and Cheese, Xroads Classic Smoothie. Sandwich consisted of applewood smoked turkey, bacon, sprouts, tomato, and avocado. Solid sandwich with generous amount of turkey. Mac and Cheese was rich and creamy and the toasted breadcrumbs were a nice touch. The smoothie was the perfect end to the meal and a long day driving in 120 degree weather. Meal #3: Hi-Ho Breakfast(two giant pancakes, three strips of bacon, two eggs) and Zydeco Breakfast. The Hi-Ho is a delicious, no frills-hearty breakfast plate. The Zydeco Breakfast came with a spicy andouille sausage, 2 eggs, black beans and salsa, and cornbread. The sausage wasn’t spicy but packed a lot of flavor. Cornbread was melt in your mouth with a hint of jalapeño and bits and pieces of corn. Service is fast and friendly. Ambience is hip. I am tempted to come back to Joshua Tree just for the food at Crossroads! Last but not least, my friend and I LOVED the restaurant so much that we bought Crossroads Café t-shirts!

What a difference a month makes! Been here many times over the past few months. Kids like the tuna sandwiches. I had the worst Caesar salad on record. Chix soooo dry with a few white croutons and a few drops of dressing. I guess ‘lightly tossed’ means a few drops. Service was atrocious! Don’t think we’ll be back… Too bad so sad!

This was the nicest surprise on our way home from camping at Joshua Tree. Cutest brunch place. I believe our servers name was Andrew. He was super friendly and the rest of the staff was very welcoming. I would definitely say it’s worth checking out if you find yourself out in the dessert.

Crossroads café, was amazing. food came out SO fast, the service was spectacular, ambience was super cool/hipster/crunchy vibe. Food comes out SO fast! My friend had the BLT and said it was the best she’s had in her life. And my other friend had the Ruben and said it was epic. I had the vegan polenta dish and it was delightful. Banana bread is life changing! Highly recommend this cute spot you won’t regret it!

Came in years ago after camping, got in about 2pm and they stopped serving breakfast. I remember the lunch meal sucked back then so I left but I wanted to try the place. Came in a couple weeks ago for breakfast. It was pretty busy and they wanted to sit me at the counter. I don’t mind sitting at the counter if I’m just getting coffee but not for a meal, that’s just my style. So they sit me outside which is fine. Prices were a bit higher than I expected. Food was good but the portions were a bit small(I’m a big eater and breakfast is the easiest to fill up with all the carbs). The coffee was kinda weak. There was a dead mosquito in my refill. Not the type that gets grossed out but it was enough not to continue drinking the kinda weak coffee. IF it was good coffee, I would’ve down the cup mosquito and all. Food, coffee, and tip was about 16 bucks.

After 24 hours in the BLM land, my friend and I had one thing on our mind: PANCAKES. Unilocal to the rescue and this was the perfect place to treat ourselves. Fo realz. Wait was a ~20 minutes estimate, but they seated us around 10 minutes. For prime time of Sunday afternoon, that’s not bad, not shabby at all! We noticed that it did get busier when we were leaving around 2PM. «Breakfast to Nowhere» served daily until 2PM! I’m sure lunch is just as good. This restaurant is pretty large! Seating in the front, back, and patio. We luckily got outside seating. Décor is adorable– quirky with a desert flair. The ambiance– chill and local, cool air providing refuge from the sun, and the smell of breakfast goodness filling the air. The staff is similar, really friendly and attentive. THEFOOD, OHTHEFOOD. My friend and I talked about it in excess on our drive back as well as when we reminisce about our time in Joshua Tree. I have three words, and three words only: Banana Walnut Pancakes. Don’t think twice, just do it. The latte… ISHUGE. In like a 16 oz cup, really worth it. Corn bread, YUM. Zydeco Breakfast-HUGE! Total for everything was $ 40, very reasonable for gigantic portions. We were satiated. My friend always says, she would go back and get the same thing all over again. I agree, but there is an internal food conflict. There is so much on the menu that I want to try: Mike’s Mess, Banana Bread, POLENTA, anything and everything that has egg is it. What I do know is that I will be back, that’s for certain.

One hour later, my group was finally seated. In their defense, it is a small place and we were a large group. It was buzzing with couples families and other Joshua tree frequenters, but the food was just alright. Although visually appealing, it’s pretty standard breakfast food. Home fries were a tad bit over cooked, but the rest came out just as expected. I did enjoy the banana bread, and would probably go here again if our party was a lot smaller.

The X roads is easily the most popular food spot in Joshua Tree. You will wait a while, but its worth it. The breakfasts are amazing; the zydeco breakfast and the omelets are highly recommended. The plates range from $ 6 – 12.50 with sides available has reasonable prices. The value is really good for the desert fare. The staff are super friendly, usually made up of younger folks who are making a living spending time in the park. It’s an interesting clientele as you’ll notice many people from LA or Europe stopping through on an adventure. Not a place for large groups, good for couples and really easy for singles as you’ll usually find a seat at the counter, which comes with quick service. The food & service are the real kickers that make this a highly recommended place to grab a bite to eat.

Today i am dissapointed . No eggs benedict at 1:30. All Sold out. We are a Party of 4, all of us came here AND waited specifically for that . Okay … Tuna burger is ok … Not great. Tuna just has some sort of a taste and the«Cole slaw«that it comes with according to the menu has nothing on it. This is SHREDDED cabbage not a COLESLAW. Home style potatoes dry and over cooked . The cilantro chicken soup was great. 5 star for that.

Great breakfast & lunch joint in Joshua Tree very close to JT main entrance. Enjoyed the biscuits and sausage gravy. Another visit had the huevos rancheros– delicious with a nice amount of spice in the ranchero sauce and super runny eggs. Coffee free flowing and strong. Staff is very friendly and food comes out quick. A really good atmosphere, lots of veggie and vegan options. Prices are a little high.

3.5. The line was quite long upon arrival last Tuesday around 2pm. Luckily, I was seated fairly quickly as a party of 2. When we were waiting, there were many great looking entrees with breakfast potatoes and etc., which were what we wanted to order. However, the waitress informed us that ALL breakfast items, even the breakfast sides of regular items, stop at 2pm. Sigh, just missed it. I ended up with a Santa Fe quesadilla and the boy ordered grilled cheese with ham sandwich. The Santa Fe included a LOT of fresh ingredients including spinach, mushrooms, and onions. The overly amount of melted cheese encompassed everything, too much cheese if you asked me. However, I did like how the tortilla was lightly toasted, making the outside slightly crunchy. I had a few bites of the grilled cheese with ham. That was really tasty, I think it’s all in the cheese. I couldn’t tell what kind of cheese, but this sandwich was even tasty heated in the microwave the next day. Service was great, ambiance was nice, just wished they’d serve breakfast all day.

We arrived in Joshua Tree one evening and needed to grab some dinner so we found this cute little eatery nearby! We were greeted right when we entered and we sat at a table near the back. They have a variety of comfort foods, such as sandwiches, burgers, soups, salad with plenty of veggie friendly options! I had the Baton Rouge which was a sizable bowl of black beans, sour cream, salsa, andouille sausage, and a side of corn bread. It was much needed on a chilly night! It’s a simple and quick place to eat right in the middle of town!

After our trip to Joshua Tree, we wanted a place to stop for lunch on the way back to Palm Springs, and the Unilocal app directed us to the Crossroads Café. Lunch(salads and sandwiches) for 4 ran us $ 46. It’s a very funky place with a bit of a hippie/southwest/vegan vibe. What do I mean? Well, as you peruse the menu, you’ll see tofu as an egg substitution, Huevos Rancheros, Vegan Soy-Rizo in lieu of Chorizo, Grilled Seitan as a breakfast meat option, tortillas instead of toas, Soy-Rizo hash, side orders of Ranchero sauce, avocado or guacamole, Seitan Philly Cheesesteaks, a Thai Dye Salad, 4 kinds of tacos and 3 kinds(including vegan) quesadillas. Get the picture man? Plus they sell beer and wine! I had the Thai Dye Salad — a big bowl of Romaine, cabbage, carrots, cukes, fuji apples and scallions in a peanut dressing. I added very tasty grilled tofu slices and it brought the price to $ 9. My salad tasted great, in fact everything on our table looked great. Isampled a few of the fries that came with my wife’s turkey, sprout and avocado sandwich and they were pretty darned good. I liked the vibe here, the old photos of bizarre animals and tourist spots on the walls, etc. The service was middle of the road.
