I LOVELOVELOVE this place! I’ve been a regular at this bar for years and it never disappoints. They’re always doing new and creative things with the food and drinks. They always try to have something new going on. The food is amazing and just keeps getting better and better. It has such a good vibe with such a great mix of people. It’s a very genuine place to hang out.

I just love this place. The food is always good, I haven’t had anything here that wasn’t delicious. The prices are very affordable for downtown. My favorite menu item is the pizza, always fresh. The drinks are always good, not watered down. Every night there is something going on either karaōke or trivia of some sort. Definitely a chill causal spot to hang with friends or to meet new people.

If I could give a negative star rating for this business to owe me a star I would. I came here with a party of 8 on Halloween, the service and DJ was horrible. 1st and definitely my last time visiting this establishment. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time here.

This is a great townie bar that stands out for its sports bar/pub feel. The sportsmanship mentality that resides here on Sunday is incomparable.

Food was good, plenty of televisions but terrible service. I can’t believe I wasted my time coming here.

I have not been here in months and no matter when I come, it’s always consistent. Last week was the first time I’ve been and seen it so crowded. All the other times, I was able to find a table or set at the bar. Good to see that business was pop’n. This is the only sports bar in JC that I enjoy going to. I’m not saying there are not others but this is the only one I know that has good services, the food is continuously steady and never very the next time one visits and I always enjoy myself. The prices are reasonable and people as great. For the next football, basketball, or baseball game… etc., this is the place to hang out.

O’Meh. Nothing to recommend at this place. The staff was more interested in visiting with their friends/regulars. The bartender would take my order and then shoot the breeze with other customers. I had to order my beer 3 times before I got served the wrong one. Food was bland and boring. Tried to talk to the server about it. They were apathetic. Your results may vary. My results say try some other place.

Hands down the best bar I’ve been to in jersey city. Prices are reasonable the crowd is a mixed crowd. The music varies on the weekends. Only thing I wished they served food all night. A brother my size likes to eat lol!

For JC, this place really went far and beyond. I definitely didn’t have high expectations for a sports bar outside of Manhattan. This place had every game possible plus the food is really great, especially the wings and macaroni and cheese puffs. On a side note, the waitresses run around with like a chicken with no head on during Sunday football as it gets packed. Be sure to arrive a little early before a game to grab some real estate.

Great specials during football. When I came on a monday night during the jets game it was $ 3 bud lite, $ 5 bud light pitchers and $ 10 personal pitchers of other beers which is a great deal. You get about 2 and a half beers in each personal pitcher. The menu is also great and has a ton of selection build your own burgers, wraps, wings, margarita pizza, you name it. The salmon burger was soooo good. The guys gave the wings a 6.5. This should be your go to spot in jersey city for game day. Wasn’t that crowded on Monday plenty of open seats but a solid crowd cheering for the game.

So, this is the spot that a friend of mine comes to almost all the time, she’s a regular. She was craving their Cesar salads & that I should try it. We made our way to this place & I ordered a chicken Cesar salad & sweet potato fries of course. I love sweet potato fries so if I see it on any menu I’ll definitely get it & try it out. The salad was great especially with the added chicken in it(protein) haha! My friend didn’t want to get the chicken because she’s like, what if it’s dry or what if it taste nasty or this and that BUT she had the nerve to pick at mine when I got it lol understandable that she wanted to taste it:) & she loved it. So i am pretty sure she will be getting that along with her Cesar salads next time. Chicken Cesar salad #9 cannot beat that price Now, the sweet potato fries !! Well, this is my number one spot to get them now. My first choice was east la in Hoboken but this place sure did push them to second choice. It was just great. Not drenched in oil/fried but as if they were baked to perfection. Yum $ 4 my friend are half of my batch as I was stuffing my face with the chicken Cesar salad & she was already done with her salad. Gr! Haha will most likely be back here on Thursday(30% off)

Not a huge fan. I liked it when it was PJ’s but over the last year, it has been going downhill. Stopped by around midnight to get a bite to eat. No other options at that point. The place is looking rundown and everything was sticky. I’m a dive neighborhood bar guy; not an annoying hipster, but a person who genuinely likes Jersey neighborhood bars. Born and raised! The food was horrible. I’ve eaten there before and enjoyed it, but this was disgusting. And I paid for it the next morning. Don’t touch the chessesteak!!! And lastly– they need to take down the Ryan Family Crest and replace it with an O’Hara one. I find it offensive as a Ryan. :) I will not be going back anytime soon. Have Fun

This is an absolutely ordinary, standard, average, run of the mill sports bar. But ya know what? I’m completely okay with that. Downtown Hoboken has fratty sports bars in every nook and cranny, but the Grove Street area has a more artsy and laid back feel. Because every now and then all I want is to gnaw on some wings and slurp down a beer, I very much so appreciate O’Hara’s existence in my neighborhood. It actually feels like a non-chain version of a Chillis or an Applebees. Both have a very similar style of décor and ambiance, and the menu options are almost identical, except way fresher here I’m sure. We were too late to make happy hour but beers were still pretty moderately priced at around 5 – 6 dollars. They’ve got some specials though, even some nights when you can deduct 25% off the bill, wowzaaa! We came in for the Rangers game and it was an epic decision. They had sound on for the game and a huge projection screen. Friday night playoff game and we had a table for 6 situated directly in front of the projector. I can get used to living in this area. Prepare to gain 5 lbs after eating here. It’s okay to treat yo’self every now and then, but this isn’t the type of place to order a salad. Our table started off by splitting a few apps. I’m a fried pickle enthusiast and these were some of the best. Chips, not spears(that is key), not too much breading and a cool side of ranch. The spin dip was just okay. Not hot and dripping with cheese, just kind of there. I wasn’t really feeling a burger or a sandwich, and instead went with a create your own pizza. It was bar style and they were generous with the toppings, no shortage of black olives and pepperoni. My friend went with the make own mac and cheese option, and his bowl of Buffalo chicken and broccoli mac and cheese was HUUUUGE. The thing could have easily fed 4 people. Leftover city, but that’s never a bad thing. There were a bunch of burgers at the table and they were oversized as well. Definitely come here hungry and don’t hesitate to share! Everyone needs a classic sports bar in their hood and O’Haras is my new right hand man.

My neighborhood bar! I come here quite often — usually during the week, after a long day at work, and I don’t feel like cooking… ha :p Jen’s awesome! She’s usually there when I stop by. On several occasions, I’ve requested certain hockey games to be put on TV and they’ve accommodated each time. Everyone’s friendly here… reminds me of Cheers :)

Became my go to spot for football Sunday’s after another local bar took off all their TV’s. food is nothing fancy but it’s decent. Me and my sisters usually order all of the appetizers lol wings can’t really go wrong with wings, macaroni bites no one can screw this up deep-fried, nachos are a big portion as well. Great vibe, people usually are screaming and yelling at the TV, which is awesome, a lot of cowboys fan which is annoying, other than that good place to watch the game with cheap food, cheap drinks, good service(be patient it’s packed) and they have all the games!!!

Came here on a Saturday night and this place was packed. We managed to snag a table though, let the drinking commence. To balance the drinks we ordered food as well: buffalo potato chips(YUCK), onion rings(ehh), wings(dry and gross) and french onion soup(it was aiiiite). So obvi wasn’t impressed by the food. The drinks were standard but more expensive than I thought they should be. Overall, this place is OK. Better bars around to experience in this area.

I have been very happy with O’Hara’s. I used to come here when it was PJ Ryan’s, and we used to hold events in their private room upstairs. It hasn’t really changed much. The staff is friendly. They have a nice selection of beers. The prices are not totally unreasonable. The food is typical Irish Bar & Grill fare. It has always been tasty and good. I see no reason why anyone would not enjoy themselves here.
