Enjoyed a delicious breakfast sandwich with sausage, egg and a very tasty fig jam that rounded out the meal. Friendly customer service. I liked that they had multiple outlets in case you needed to charge your electronics.

Awesome spot. Love the renovation(especially the bathroom). Coffee is great and food is amazing. Love the staff. Very down to earth.

I’m updating my previous glowing review. They’ve raised prices, no longer serve 32 oz. Iced coffees, and service has taken a dump. Fazenda, you used to be cool.

Great food and coffee would love to see what they do with a dinner/lunch menu. This area needs a place like this, the only download is the clientele that you get from being so close to forest hills station.

Latte was great! Staff was friendly, ambience was neat and seemed good for working. Got a salmon bagel which I did not enjoy at all — barely any salmon, lots of greens which were drenched in a sweet balsamic vinaigrette which is a weird taste for a lox bagel, one slice of sour green tomato, and the capers were nickel sizes slices so instead of a small taste as you eat it was more like a chewy big caper with most bites. Can’t say anything about the other lunch options but would not recommend the salmon bagel.

I just love having this place down my street! Coffee is really good, staff is always super friendly & it’s a great place for me to study for a couple of hours or grab a bite with a friend. The food is simple and attention is paid to good products. I do wish that the otherwise delicious pastries were consistently fresh. Of course I would love for them to be open after 3, but I look forward to the bar/restaurant opening soon!

The employees are rude and unhelpful. The dark roast tastes terrible and is weak, the light roast taste worse but actually has some caffeine. Credit card minimum is different every time I go on there, seemingly dependent on how the person running the register is feeling. The baked goods are way too sweet and taste like they were bought at a Walmart.

I ordered a mocha espresso… I did not receive an espresso. Rather, warm chocolate milk. It took 15 minutes to make, they put chocolate syrup on it(which really destroyed any semblance of coffee). This was probably needed since the coffee was bitter. The atmosphere was OK.

I went in there once and the staff was really rude!!! I sat at the little bar stool there were three staff and they snubbed me didn’t even smile or anything i sat there like for 10 min, no one said anything not even smile hello or anything I was looking forward to having a sandwich or tea, but they are EXTREMELYRUDE Ii wish I could give –0 stars. Never going there again and making sure to tell everyone I know how awful there service is. I own a restaurant I know that customers are everything. Sorry Fazenda a SMILECANGOALONGWAY!

Service has definitely improved. The staff there has been incredibly friendly and appreciative, and the new décor is awesome. I really like the changes they have made. Hey, they even have a «Forest Hills Social Club» there now, after hours. My only complaint is the price increases. A bagel with cream cheese is $ 4.55 now. I quite literally can buy an entire sleeve of 6 bagels and a package of cream cheese for a dollar more. They used to be $ 3.75, which even still is a bit much, but understandable.

Went here for the first time today and I love it! Great ambiance to study, and house-made pastries and breads for sandwiches. They have unique sandwich options that you don’t find at most coffee shops, like the kimchi grilled cheese, bagel with bacon cream cheese and fig spread, and more. I loved the«classic,» I had for breakfast– house-made brioche roll, egg, and cheese. Just right! I can’t speak for the coffee since I don’t drink it, but it seems to have a reputation of being of exceptional quality.

I come to Fazenda weekly and am never disappointed. The coffee is high quality and espresso drinks are made with care. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about their products. Their pastries, especially the Kouign-amann(a croissant/popover type pastry, I still can’t pronounce it), are consistently delicious. They recently redid the counters and display case with some beautiful woodwork, making it an even more pleasant experience in there.

Take a ride out to Forest Hills for breakfast, Fazenda is — wait for it — THE best way to start any moment of any day. Coffee is top notch, including the ultra giant Large size that will give other iced coffee drinkers a cold case of coffee envy. For food, grab a Woodlawn special featuring cream cheese, fig spread, and bacon on an everything bagel. Or if you’re keeping it Kosher grab a egg sandwich with veggie sausage on a sweet Hawaiian roll.

Fazenda is one of my favorite coffee places in the greater J.P./ Roslindale/Hyde Park area. Its close proximity to both Forest Hills Station and the arnold arboretum make it a convenient meeting place to grab a quick coffee or bite. Their food menu is varied with many breakfast and lunch options that frequently change with the season or as they roll out new offerings. They are very accommodating for both Gluten Free and vegan eaters, and when I order a sandwich on their fresh GF oatmeal bread their staff always takes the time to note whether I have a Gluten allergy or whether it is a preference. When I tell them«allergy» they note it and take special care in the preparation and handling of my sandwich, which I wish more places would do. My personal favorite– the turkey avocado sandwich, which I get minus the cheddar and on oatmeal bread so that it is dairy and Gluten Free. Additionally, no extra amount is charged for non-dairy milks in coffee/beverages– a bonus compared to Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts. In the past, I have experienced a couple of minor issues with coming here. On occasion, their service can be a little bit slow, which can be nerve wracking if in a rush to get on the T. But, I suppose that expecting a fresh made and delicious sandwich to come out as fast as the microwaved ones offered at Dunkin or Starbucks is unreasonable. Seating is often very limited during peak times, and parking can also be somewhat difficult now that the overpass construction is limiting parking in the area. Plan extra time for finding parking and for morning and afternoon commuter traffic.

Friendly staff, nice selection of pastries and sandwiches, and good coffee. The slow-drip iced toddy really hit the spot in the heat of the day. The atmosphere was pleasantly laid back, with decent music and tasteful interior décor. Free wifi & ample seating.

Visiting Boston for the weekend and staying at an Air BnB in JP. Stopped into this café for breakfast and coffee-the website and reviews made the place seem LEGIT-and I was so pleased. Cold brew iced coffee is very well made, and a local behind me basically forced me to get the blueberry lemon scone(well, she mentioned it and I was like OMG yes.) it was one of the best scones I’ve had-warm, fresh, soft and crunchy in all the right places. Didn’t try a scratch-made donut(they’re first come first served and they had about 5 left in the case) but they looked phenomenal-local peach, espresso, and pistachio. Would definitely recommend to anyone in need of great coffee and a place to hang.

This place is pretty wonderful. Good layout, good soundtrack(I never seem to need to put my headphones on), and great food. Sandwiches are fresh and hot, croissant and other baked goods are consistently delicious. Good tea selection. My friends say their coffee is wonderful, too.

Great place, nice music, great sandwiches, had the ham sandwich, very good coffee and nice staff. Prices are fair. Their chocolate chip cookie is awesome, chewy inside and taste delicious!

Most of my favorites are gone. The lemon-garlic tofu sandwich has been replaced with a Thai Tofu that’s not Vegan.(I tried re-creating the lemon garlic, but I’m a novice at cooking.) There’s now a Centre St sandwich that’s pretty good, but not that as good as the tofu was. The baked oatmeal is also gone, which is sad. It was especially good on a cold day. They now sometimes have a soup but it’s not marked Vegan. There’s still almond milk for coffee & Sabertooth Vegan Bakery donuts. My favorite is the Cookies-n-Cream.

Slower than my grandmother. Five people working took 20 minutes to make two sandwiches. How? There was no line, but there was also no process in place, clearly. Should we blame the workers for being lazy or the management for failing to put a process in place? Either way, we won’t be coming back. Also found olive pits in the olive spread a few months back. They just blended the olives whole, pits and all. Should have given up on them then.
