I’ve been going to Sal’s Barber Shop for years. My barber Gabriel does a wonderful job, very detailed oriented and cuts exactly the way I want. We also talk about common interests. This shop is very close to my house and right next door to my favorite café in Jackson heights.

Classic Italian barbershop. Have been coming here for 20 years. Sal is a very good Barber and a nice person in general. Not looking forward to when he decides to retire.

I enjoy a cut and a straight razor shave once a month and I wasted my time at all the lousy, careless Jackson Heights barbers until I discovered Sal’s. Gabriel is accommodating, patient and friendly. Growing up and loving the barber experience was about neighborhood spot where actual neighborhood people hang out and enjoy each other’s company — this is that kind of spot.

Decades of great service.
I have been going to Sal’s for more than 25 years.
The majority of my experiences have been great. The wait times are short. They know all their regulars by name (I prefer to think that they remember their regulars by their hair).
Both Sal and Gabriel are great barbers and do your hair justice.
This is the only barbershop I have ever known and I hope to continue going to it for years to come.
The price for a Men’s haircut is $ 14.
No appointments are required, except for Sundays. Just walk in and wait to be called up by either Sal or Gabriel.
There is nothing better than getting your hair cut by an old school barber!

I’ve been cutting my hair for a while now at Sals barber shop and I’m always happy with the results.
Gabriel is my barber of choice. He’s a cool stand up Argentinean guy who always has people waiting in line to cut their hair with him. Although there are two other barbers (including Sal), there are always people waiting for Gabriel.
I like that he doesn’t rush the cut and is patient in service which results in good work, even if he has 4 or 5 people waiting for him. Always has some pretty interesting conversation to keep you entertained.
Haircuts are $ 12 (but don’t forget to tip for good service). Although reservations are not required, you may want to give a call before you go.
