I’m really mad at my past self for living down the street from this place for four years before finally trying it. Man, have I been missing out! The restaurant is clean and beautiful and the staff is uncommonly kind. The pizza is great, the kids love it, but my favorite thing about Route 27 is that it offers many atypical side dishes, salads, and entrees. All the other local pizza joints sell the same fare but this place is unique and very reasonably priced. P. S. The meatballs and ricotta are heavenly.

Food is not impressive. Pizza is ok but baked ziti was horrible. Was just ziti in a sheet tray with pizza sauce and cheese. If you want a slice or two go for it. But not dinners.

Last night was the third visit in a month, I was in the area and stopped in for a couple of slices after 8PM. The store was very clean and the employees were pleasant. After ordering some deep dish slices and drinks the counter person brought them over, the deep dish was hot and crispy-thoroughly heated and delicious. We had the Buffalo chicken slices and Bacon tomato Deep dish. Both types of pizza were done well and my friend was impressed. This will be a new stop on my South Shore excursions. I honestly do not see how some of the other reviews can be truthful. The owners have a long history of serving people in this type of business, what exactly is a raw mozzarella stick anyway?

Very nice owners who give back to their community by supporting their local school of East Islip. Any place that will support students and athletics are # 1 that being said the Pizza is fabulous with a nice crust and tasty sauce. Plead stop by and enjoy this wonderful pizzeria/restaurant. They have wonderful lunch specials that I can’t wait to try! Thanks Frank and Donna! keep up the great work by providing wonderful food to our community. If your on sunrise hwy look for Rt 27 pizzeria!

I pass this place on the way home from work so I’ve given it a few tries but I am not impressed. The slice I just bought had raw dough and the slice my husband had was cold. All the employees are nice so I would hate to see them do bad but they need to pay more attention, there is a lot of competition out there.

Horrible… I just wasted 35.00…mozzarella sticks were raw and if my kids don’t like them, somethings wrong. I ordered potato and egg hero and it was absolutely horrible… the slices of potato were actually raw then heated up… also meatball hero was bad. I’m not even bothering to call them… now I know… never again.

I never leave reviews, but this place was phenomenal. Hands down the best buffalo chicken slice I’ve ever had. Highly recommend.

Just had some of the best pizza out there. I had a grandma slice, and a chicken balsamic deep dish. The crust was really good, crunchy on the outside and a nice texture overall. There is a lot of LI pizza out there, but I really enjoyed this new place. Going to go back and try some of the entrees next time, they sound really good. My girlfriend notice the gluten free items as well, if that’s what your looking for.
