Had to write this. Very disappointed after how some of the table keepers handled our group of friends on behest of some corporate scumbags. Please learn to treat all your customers equally irrespective of status. And please do provide cooling fans if you are arranging seating arrangements outside in summer. The way one of the table keeper behaved being scared for another corporate scumbags was ridiculous. Doesn’t care who the owner is. This needs immediate attention from fellow customers who visit this place. One of the good Indian cuisine to dine but filled with people who are sold out to scumbags.

The ambience is perfect for family dining. The staff is unhelpful and it seems that they are obligated to serve. Food is decent but surely not worth the price. As a concise review, Irving has a variety of Indian restaurants and Bombay Sizzlers really falls short of expectations. P.S: Do not expect authentic sizzlers because they do not have any; except in the name!

Tried first time. Went for buffet today. Restaurant has 5 tables filled that’s it. Very less vegeterian options(2cuuries, dal, noodles) in buffet. Naan was raw. Gulab jamun was too sweet. Also jeera rice had a spoon from chicken gravy.(Being a veggie I didn’t try it) So we asked waiter if they do veg sizzlers, he said yes and it would take 20 – 30 mins. But was not interested in taking our order, he just left. To our surprise a couple comes and orders sizzlers and gets them in 5mins. Also our water was never refilled. With bad service we recieved, we decided we will never come back. Overall it’s not worth a try.

I’m super picky about Indian food, but this was OUTSTANDING! Portions are smaller than I would hope, and in comparison to other restaurants, but it’s worth it. Absolutely delicious and awesome!

We tried bhindi masala here n it was too good. Crispy and spicy, it just felt the best in the scorching Dallas heat! Awesome place and great food!

Worst customer service! Restaurent is half empty owner wants to sit a group of 6 on a table of four just because he thinks he may get a bigger group. Then he says I will give a table of 8 but finish food in 30 minutes! Seriously you treat your customers like this? Avoid this place if you expect basic level of customer service. rude owner!

What a place Bombay Sizzlers … Nice ambiance… Great Indian food. Very friendly staff. I went late for dinner but still they customized the dish according to my taste. I loved this place … We had the best Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Chops, Garlic naan, Malai Kulfi… Must visit…

I found this on Unilocal. There was one offer if we ch check in online and order above 25 $ you will get something free. When we went there as it was late we decided to take to go instead of dine in. The offer was denied by staff stating that you have to eat here although it was not mentioned in that coupon. What a crap! I ordered food worth 50 bucks. Food was ok though.

Horrible food !! Went here for dinner as suggested by some people Around. Firstly the name Bombay sizzlers is a joke. This place does NOT serve Bombay style sizzlers ! An appetizer on a sizzling plate is more like it. No accompaniments whatsoever. So if you want an «indian» sizzler. Keep out . The schejwan rice n kids’ Hakka noodles were dripping with oil even though we requested«less oily». The gulabjamuns were a bit decent but nothing special. We ended up ordering curry n roti after tasting all the oily n inedible food. The veg curry was a bit okay with little aroma, no salt but Atleast was edible. Spent over $ 60 for 2 people and came back nauseated and still hungry as we couldn’t eat a bite . My kid threw up the tiny amount of noodles he had eaten and is now crying endlessly . Not to mention a ruined evening . horrible ambience . Constant Flickering lights And a rude attendant who instead of apologizing said«this is how the rice is supposed to be « Just paid the full amount as we wanted to get the hell out and get an ice cream somewhere. Plus my kid was very cranky from eating bits of the gunky food. Or else wouldn’t have paid at all! Definitely Never going back again. And would Advice the rest to do so. Plano, Frisco n Irving have many more decent restaurants than this one for half the price. Dunno how it got 4 stars at all

Excellent service. We had a large group and the manager and servers went above and beyond to make our experience a memorable one. The food was delicious as well. Highly recommend.

We started out coming to the Bombay Sizzler to drink as it was one of the local places in Las Colinas. Soon we became friends with the owner Mike. We often frequent the Sizzler as we call it but never ate here. One night Mike said«Why don’t you ever eat here?» We didn’t have a valid answer. Soon Mike brought out Chicken tikka masala, jeera rice and garlic butter nan. We instantly fell for the Indian cuisine we had been smelling for months. We then came in just for dinner and got the same items but then tried a new menu item then butter chicken. Surprised again how fantastic it was. We were always skeptical to venture out and try this type of cuisine. I am glad we did! I would recommend this place to everyone!

Awesome! Go there! Hey, this was really good indian cuisine, especially for a lunch buffet. I had to kill 1.5 hours before a client meeting and wanted something interesting in the area… and wow! Really nice level of medium-spicyness, very well-made dishes, and friendly service. I can’t say enough good things about this. I have spent a good amount of time in India(Delhi area) and can tell you that at Bombay Sizzlers they do an excellent job with the blending of spices to create ridiculously tasty stuff. Wow, all those superlatives, and I didn’t even drink! GO! ENJOY!

Wow… I’ve been there many times, my 2 first visits were at the old location in Irving. Can’t believe I never reviewed it! Bad me! So here it goes. The restaurant is very nice, excellent location, great patio. Last time we were there in a huge crowd and the service was quite good. Maybe 30 people and the food came in time for everybody, huge points for that. I really don’t know how they managed that, imagine 30 people walking and talking and moving around all the time! The food was always very good, very well seasoned. I tried the Singapore red chilly chicken, the butter chicken(oohhh sooo good! It is mild flavors let the ghee shy!) and a Manchurian chicken. Not in the same visit lol. And of course tried paneers and veg dishes, samosas and all. That’s why I am also with groups, we can steel food from everybody! At this point you think I hate chickens, I want to eat them all… nooo people! I just had a lamb pet when I was kid. Don’t try to trick me wih this mutton/goat thing, I am not buying it. What if it is a lamb? The desserts are also good, mango kulfi is the star. Gulab Jamun is good but usually is the dessert to have when you think«hum.today is a good day to have a sugar spike in astronomical proportions just because…» because there is no much flavor in that ither than sugar. Not their fault, the dessert is just like that. Oh and one more thing. Mukesh, the owner, is super nice and accomodating, wich is important to any business.

Was a quite night and had one server she was friendly but seemed new. We were over charged on drinks. Food had good flavor but seemed off. We found out later why we both were sick the next 24 hours with food poisoning. We will pass in the future

After seeing the high ratings for Bombay Sizzlers, I decided to try it out for dinner, not really having any expectations in place. After all, this is Irving, and there are a multitude of Indian restaurants. Bombay Sizzlers easily impressed me with their incredibly tasty food. The Frankie was perfect(think chicken tikka wrapped in a roti… or an indian burrito), as were the samosas. The chicken tikka masala was very creamy and flavorful, and the naan/parathas were soft, fluffy and hot… a great addition to the meal. I am definitely coming back the next time I’m in the Irving area. Please note I ordered a la carte, and am not reviewing the buffet.

The food here is on par with most of the Indian buffet places I’ve ever been to. They do have a variety of curries and they are not bad, but the bulk of the buffet is chicken. There was one Paneer dish, a chickpea dish and an egg curry, but on whole, there were probably 5 chicken types. For me, that’s a lot of the same meat. There needed to be a lamb to break up the monotony. The food was good enough. There are some other miscellaneous items like fruit and Gulab for dessert which was decent. The service is decent and the price is reasonable. Not too much to say about this place other than it being average. If there are other places, then I would probably try them before coming back to this place again.

By far the best indian food I’ve tried in Dallas! And some of the best you can find at a restaurant anywhere! They know how to cook here and I’ve never had something I wouldn’t eat again! The menu is huge and catering to everyone, they even have a chinese section which is just as good! My favorite things to order are paneer tikka masala, gobi manchurian, chicken 65. While it’s hard to just pick a few since it’s all so good! Their lunch buffet is probably the only one I willing will eat compared to any other indian buffet. They make the buffet flavorful and not bland like many places. This is the best place in town for indian for sure! They’re right on the lake as well so the views are great and you can go for a little stroll after you’re stuffed from the yummy food!

We met up with some friends here on a Sunday evening. We opted to sit out on the patio as it was a beautiful evening. The patio is really nice and huge. The major plus side was the view on the patio was awesome. We were right next to the canal. We started off with the Papad, Gobi Manchurian which consists of stir-fried cauliflower(dry extra crispy), and Jeera Aloo(diced potato cooked with whole chilies and cumin seeds). The stir-fried cauliflower was so freaking good. I loved the extra crisp and there was plenty of seasoning to it. I could eat this dish all on my own as it was so good. The Papad was really good. It came with 3 sauces. The tomato sauce was really spicy but it was delicious. The diced potatoes were really good too. Meal wise: We ordered the Tandoor Chicken bone in and boneless. The chicken was flavored really well and I loved the fact there were grilled onions and peppers accompanied with the chicken on a sizzler. We also ordered the Chicken Vindaloo in which I thought was okay. I didn’t expect the Chicken Vindaloo to be so tomato based. Next time, I’ll have to order the Chicken Tikka Masala as that is what the Chicken Vindaloo reminded me of. Thanks to Unilocal’s offer, I was able to try to Mango Lassi and it was really good. This location is really nice and they have a full bar. They have a live DJ here on the weekends playing Indian music. I’ll definitely be back!

I attended a birthday party at Bombay Sizzlers Irving/Las Colinas. We only had the time and appetite for a few appetizers. The Samosas, Veggie Spring Rolls, and Sweet Corn Soup were good as you’d expect, but not outstanding. I was impressed with how well they served a fairly large group(approx 30); not particularly friendly, but efficient. If I’m in the area again, I might drop-in to try more of what they offer for entrées and update my review.

My review is only based on the lunch buffet. There are times that I just need some Indian food and today was one of those days. So of course I checked Unilocal to see what was around the office that I hadn’t ventured to before. I was really surprised that Bombay Sizzlers was just right down the road with decent reviews. I grabbed my frequent new places guinea pig and we headed down the road. The place was virtually empty which is usually not a good sign but there is also major construction in the area and I would steer clear if I wasn’t so close. The interior was nice and clean and we were greeted immediately and informed lunch was buffet and she would be back with fresh naan and our drinks. The buffet is small but there were more than enough entrees to satisfy my Indian craving and plenty of offerings for my vegetarian companion. I read reviews that said the taste were bland but I didn’t find that to be the case, everything was spiced just right and I don’t mean just hot, the dishes that were supposed to be really spicy were but their were a few milder options. I will definitely keep Bombay Sizzlers in my lunch repretroie.
