This is one of our favorite Indian restaurants. The goat biryani is the best I’ve ever had. The prices are very affordable and the serving size is so big that we always take some home with us. They have great mango lassi and chicken lollipops. The staff is very friendly and always feel welcome here.

Best Indian cuisine ever I enjoyed in USA!!! I would say their curry is like authentic Indian taste. Keep it up and keep your chef and same quality forever and you will rock. I would strongly recommend who loves and seeking real Indian Punjabi curry taste. Thank you.

Hi All, We got the to go order of biryani Jumbo pack. We paid full price for that. Once we got home biryani was spoiled. It was stinking. This is so wrong. It’s not fair at all. How cum they can serve food like that. I will never go back there. It happened twice us.

Review for each item : Best Kheema Goat Biryani, Chicken Lollipops are not up to the mark — almost Dried and looks like big chunk of chicken pieces with too much of food color and tasteless — Probably They should change the way they cook chicken lollipops. Tasted Goat Pepper fry couple of times — it’s good

Extremely bad grill. When the grill came in the taste was awful I literally threw up.

The biryani itself was just okay(not as full of spices as I typically enjoy), but the portions are huge for the price. If you are hungry and looking for quantity over top quality, give them a try. Your tastes may be different from mine.

I orders couple of times. Had worst experience both times. These guys using left over tandoori peaces to prepare biryani.

The Indian restaurantaurs in the Dfw area are trying their best to develop a second hyderabad for the biriyanis. And I am happy to say that Astoria people have done the best job so far. They would have deserved 5 stars had the service and ambience been better. But I just go there for the food. I love that they have jumbo and family sized biriyanis exactly like they do in hyderabad. They are open until late on weekends which I truly appreciate as well. I am a fan of their chicken biriyani(with the mirchi ka salan of course) and tandoori chicken. This place may not be for those who can’t handle the heat. But still, go ahead. be adventurous. have some fun in life.

After many visits here and after comparing a lot of Indian restaurants I have come to conclude that this place is definitely worth a 4star review — for take out only … I don’t like the dine in setup here… I usually get some of the following: Chicken tikka masala(a personal favorite) Butter chicken masala Garlic naan Tandoori roti Keema biryani(absolutely the best in DFW) I have tried a host of other things, including the chicken and goat biryani, goat pepper fry(very good, worth trying here) but I have found inconsistencies in their food, over time. Love this place especially their late night take out option …

Food was just ok but the portions were pretty small.

This is the best Biryani that I have eaten so far in Dallas. For $ 25, you get a family pack with big tray of biryani, a starter, a curry and roti. Simply delectable.

We got a take away of the mixed tandoori platter and a family pack of boneless chicken biriyani! The platter looked like a flurry of colours! Hariyali kebab and chicken tikka kebab was stuffed with artificial colours and pieces were so huge and hard that you may consider playing baseball or cricket with them! The taste was equally bad or shall I say horrible? The biriyani was too dry and of very average taste which never can leave a mark so I wonder if the nicer reviews were by the owner and staffs itself! We spent $ 55 for this food and it was a big big mistake! If you want worth food and if you do not want to hurt your eyes and taste buds just avoid being here!!!

Ordered goat pepper fry. Chicken dum Briyani and Chettinadu chicken. Everything was dry and not so authentic or tasty. Goat was really old and chewy… Goat bubblegum??? The pieces were really big and not done well. Overall not a repeat. The service was poor. When I did a check in at this place I was presented with a 10% discount. Not that I care but I showed to our waitress lady. She not only said NOOO. we do not honor that.(Wait. Is that not singed up by these guys to begin with??). But gave me a look as if I am cheap out. I will not go back again. On the other note. Anjappar still the best place to eat your Briyani in Dallas.

Looks like the management is happy with new customers and not repeated customer. Ordered chicken korma and after 30 mins of waiting(it was a Sunday and no one was dining in either) got butter chicken… May be for a few it didn’t matter. As long as you get a chicken dish they are happy. But for folks who hate the taste of butter it is a big NO. The two are prepared and cooked in a completely different way.

The biryani is great. Their other selections are decent. They give huge portions so you get what you pay for. However, their service was horrible when I went. The waiter just nods and agrees to everything you say. Also, complimentary appetizer and curry when you order a family pack of biryani does NOT mean of your choosing. I asked the waiter twice before ordering and he just nodded his head and agreed. We spent more time arguing with them than enjoying our food. He said he just didn’t understand when I asked since we were charged for it, but when you dont understand something ask for clarification — don’t nod your head and agree. Order to go and avoid the service. Don’t ask questions and you’ll be happy.

This review is for their chicken tikka and biryani. Both are solid and the portions are HUGE. Definitely worth your money.

Very interesting vegetarian place. Eat here, even if you’re not a vegetarian! Indian flavors are amazing. I’m not from India, but I really love Indian food. I’ve been seeking out Indian buffets for years because it’s fun to try different foods and to find variation in styles. That said, I don’t know what everything is called, and this is a sushi-menu style place. Yikes! The menu can seem quite complicated and daunting if you didn’t grow up around this type of cooking, culture and language. Thankfully I knew enough to describe a few things that I like to the friendly/helpful cashier girl. She setup me up, and they have some interesting free soups & condiments. See pics.

There is high chance that food is getting infected with some of the filth that resides in this place. I walked to the restrooms and came back wanting to run out to a food inspector and getting this place closed. God, Indians are usually very clean people but this place is the odd one out. Suggestion to the manager: Place trash cans near restrooms so people have something to toss their cookies to.
