Wingate By Wyndham

The place over all was clean and the staff was nice. The beds were comfortable. We had a event at the convention center and we were a little to far away it took about 23 mins to get there. The location is quiet but there isn’t much in the area. The only complaint I have is we arrived late Friday night and the parking lot was completely iced over and I ended up falling and hurting my knee, even the next morning people were sliding around. Hopefully in the future they will salt the parking lots

Probably the 2^nd worst hotel I have stayed at. I had to be here for work, so I didn’t have a choice.
Issues:
Went swimming in the pool, the ceiling covers were destroyed and the pieces were on the ground, they didn’t touch it for 2 days. When I went swimming I found a tampon in the pool floor. Gross, I was out.
The hot tub didn’t work either.
Coworker found bed bugs in his room. (Gross, I know)
The housekeeper did not close my door all the way and left my door open, luckily nothing was stolen.
Fold out bed sheets were dirty and still had remittence of candy and sheets were red, I think it was the candy dye, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it were blood.
I asked the front desk to send me a couple bottles of water to the room. I never received it. I had to take them from the housekeeping cart while it was unattended down the hall.
I usually don’t write too many reviews. But this place is terrible.
If you want to test your luck here go ahead. But I will never return to this place.

Very Clean and nice enough rooms, very good staff, breakfast was good. Pillows can be improved upon. Heaters work well, windows actually open, which is great. The first night I was in a room that had previously been smoked in. The instant I brought this to the attention of the staff, I was instantly given a fresh room. There is a mini gym, an indoor pool and great walking paths around the area.

Great hotel overall. Doesn’t smell. Staff was nice. My only is that the fan in the room squeeks (room 211). Beds are comfortable. Rooms are more modern looking than other hotels in the same price range. Hot breakfast is included. Would stay here again.

Stayed in a Hilton in Houston about a week ago && I was so disappointed in The price I paid for the room. I also stayed in a hilton a couple of days ago in a roosevelt suite for 269 a night. && it wasnt worth the price. I fell in love with this room as soon as I walked in but I still preferred a suite with a jacuzzi. The clerk at the front desk explained how the room looked before I walked in but he didnt serve the room any justice. The suite was beautiful. And for 169 a night it was worth it. I’d pick this hotel 1,000,000 to one over Hilton.
