The two men that run this jewelry kiosk in the food court of the gallery are slime balls. Crooks. Thieves. I gave them a watch to change the battery. When I returned to pick it up, they said they replaced the battery but it still didn’t work. The watch was less than a year old; a gift from my dad for graduation. I took it to movado and they said the inside of the watch had been destroyed by the person trying to replace the battery. When I went back to confront them, they said they had never worked on that watch before.

Negative review!!! I brought a watch in to have the band shortened so it would fit. They had my watch for over an hour and when i came back it was done but not the correct size. For 30 more minutes they worked to add one of the links back so the band was larger. In the end they mickey mouse’d the repair after breaking one of the original pins that secure the links in place. the replacement one they came up with was too long and too thick so they proceeded to mallet the band over and over again unsuccessfully. When they did finish the connecting clasp would not close as the new pin they put in had moved blocking the clasp from locking. In addition there were numerous mallet marks on the shiny metal areas around where they had tried to make the replacement pin go in. All in all the watch is now ruined unless i can go to a new place and have the mallet damaged pieces replaced and a proper sized pin found and put in. I had to leave but said i would contact them later to discuss. A few unanswered phone calls and emails later i filed a claim with American Express regarding the situation. A couple weeks later AMEX refunded the total price of my repair saying the business did not respond to their requests for their side of the event. IMO Sol’s Jewelry at the Houston Galleria Mall is not a reputable business and should be avoided.

buyer beware!!! We bought a pair of earrings for $ 2393 weeks later the little diamonds fell out. Luckily we found the diamond so we brought it back to them to fix. We called a week later if wasn’t done and they said they’d call us when it’s ready. 2 weeks go by and it’s still not ready and again they said they’d call us when it’s ready. 6 weeks go by and still nothing so we called and was put on hold for 10mins then the phone disconnected. So we went to the store to pick it up even if it still was not finished. Gave them our name(he remember my daughter well because she brought him a few sales) the guy walks to the back then comes back and ask for the ticket because they couldn’t find the earring. I said don’t remember getting a ticket and he says well we can’t find it so theres nothing I can do to help you.
