Great juices and iced green tea! The friendly staff was helpful as well. Definitely coming back to try more drinks.

I have been on the hunt for a teahouse that I was 100% happy with. I always get a mango smoothie with tapioca whenever I go to a new teahouse. I stopped into this place for the first time today and of course I got a mango smoothie with tapioca. Literally the MOST enjoyable bubble tea i have ever had! I had a sense of pure bliss with ever sip! I don’t want to drop names but this mango tea is even better than a major competitor in Houston. I will definitely be back!

I dropped another star because of their increase in prices. If they charge as much as the Bellaire stores but the taste is just not quite right then it doesn’t make sense. Tapioca drinks are ok but prices are way too expensive.

Looks like they raised their prices in the past few months since I last visited. The Black Milk Tea is now $ 3.25(+$ 0.50 for tapioca) which kinda sucks, but it’s still on the cheaper end for a milk tea these days. So prices up, but the milk tea still has the same issues I noticed before. They use more strongly brewed tea than average as you’d hope to expect from a place with a smelling bar for their loose leaf teas, but they don’t mix it into milk tea well. Just not enough creamer/milk powder and not enough sweetener/fructose. The milk tea turns out too thin and too bitter. Most people will probably think it tastes too watered down. Luckily their tapioca was alright this time. Chewy and fresh enough, but with only a very faint sweetness like it was marinated in a light honey syrup. I think the owner of this place might be super sensitive to sugar or something lol For a cheaper and better tasting(black) milk tea, head into 99 Ranch and grab a can of Tung-I milk tea. Or drive a couple mins away to Tila’s Teahouse if you want creamy and sweet. Otherwise Golden Oolong is an alright average bubble tea café I guess.

My mom and I were running errands and decided to stop here to try out their food. We’ve gotten their drinks, but never had the experience of eating here. When I made my order, the girl at the counter took forever to put in what I wanted. I didn’t order much, but she literally took 8 minutes to get everything and I had to repeat myself 4 times. This is not rocket science dear. You find the button on the screen and you press it. JASMINEGREENTEA This tea was a bit bitter, but you could really taste the jasmine in the tea and I love that there weren’t any artificial flavors. The taste is strong if you’re not used to drinking teas without sugar or added flavoring. LEMONGREENTEA All I could taste while drinking this was green tea and more green tea. I didn’t even taste a hint of lemon in it. I’m all about straight teas, but not if it’s cold, so if you say there’s gonna be lemon then I’m expecting lemon. What a disappointment. I had to bring this back and ask for something else. LAVENDERMILKTEA Am I ordering the wrong things today? I didn’t taste any lavender and if I did it was very subtle. I could taste the milk tea, which didn’t have that creamy consistency I liked and I didn’t taste anything else. FRIEDTOFU The fried tofu had a soft crisp on the outside, which was seasoned slightly and was soft on the inside. Overall, this dish was bland. The only flavor you could taste was on the skin of the tofu. CHICKENBITS This was the only thing that I liked, but I’ve had better chicken in Bellaire. There was a nice crisp to the chicken and it was flavored nicely. I would come back and order this again if I don’t have any other places to go for a quick snack. SHRIMPWITHPORKWONTONSOUP This soup could’ve used more seasoning because the broth was bland. The wonton tasted fresh and I really liked the shrimp, but I didn’t taste any pork; so either there wasn’t any or the shrimp to pork ratio was off. SHRIMPTEMPURAUDON This broth was bland as well. Is there a problem with seasoning in the back? The shrimp tempura had a nice crispy exterior and provided a bit of salt to the bowl when I placed it in with the soup, but other than that everything was one-noted. no flavor. The service from the girl was slow, the food took forever to come out, and when the food did come out it didn’t taste like much of anything. 86 on salt, pepper, herbs, and everything spice. It’ll be a long time before I come back here. I’m so disappointed and so ashamed for vouching for this place in the past. S(oolong) until we meet again~

Got the Green/Matcha Ice Cream smoothie. The matcha ice cream on top is delicious by itself. The smoothie itself underneath tasted really watered down and icy, crunchy. Next time I’ll try mixing the ice cream into the smoothie itself so that it will have a slightly sweeter and creamy taste. –shrugs–

Great tapioca spot that isn’t in Bellaire and if you are in the area(off I-10& grocery shopping at 99Ranch Market). The inside of this spot is real clean and nice, and music is playing on pandora on their tvs. They have a lot of food options, which include chicken bites, noodles I believe, and dumplings etc. Aside from tapioca they also have smoothies. 5 star for their teas. A lot of times it is difficult to find a good tapioca spot that has good Thai tea or milk tea, due to rushing orders and using syrups and too much sugar. Golden Oolong Tea always has tasteful teas and doesn’t disappoint. I even got a Thai tea today, put half in the fridge, and hours later even after watered down it still tastes great!

Eh, the drinks here are the typical boba drinks, nothing special or extra ordinary. I usually stop by here if I’m shopping for groceries at 99 Ranch. There’s a lot of other boba joints in Bellaire that are better, but I’ll settle for this since it’s close by. I haven’t tried many of their drinks, but their thai tea, taro smoothie, and milk tea are decent. The service is pretty fast and friendly. The prices are normal of a boba drink. I usually happen to go here on the weekends and the parking lot could get fairly packed since people visit the 99 Ranch store next door. Also, the tea place itself can sometimes be packed with students studying and other customers. Overall, if you’re within the area and want to grab a quick tea, I suggest going here unless you plan to drive to Bellaire! =)

First I would like to say I love how this place smells. New, fresh, clean. Definitely a turn on. The parking lot is a cluster because there is a grocery and many other retail locations that use the same big lot. It can be dangerous with cars going too fast every which way. I ordered fresh green juice and it was delicious. Not too sweet, had a little bite to it. Tasted fresh and had a few ice cubes in it to keep it cold. I will definitely order this again if I am in the area. I also got a Golden Oolong Milk Tea with double tapioca. The tapioca was soft and fresh. It had great flavor. The milk tea itself did have a strong tea-bag flavor but was subtle and enjoyable at the same time. Similar to other house milk teas and Royal milk tea, I would definitely order this again. There are small tables, including booths along the wall, also full meals but I didn’t try any. This was my first time and I will definitely be back. As far as service, the cashier was nice but not as knowledgable when I asked a few questions about the teas while ordering. They are also not nearly as fast as Teahouse in Montrose.

Its spacious, clean and friendly staffs. Jasmine milk tea(4⁄5) — Tasty Shrimp tempura udon(4⁄5) — it tasted better than I thought. The soup was flavorful and so were the shrimp tempura(I wish would give 3 pieces instead of 2). Overall, it’s reasonable priced(1 drink and meal is about $ 11 with tax). I would come back here again.

This is probably my favorite little tea house so far! The staff was very nice and she gave me so many different recommendations that would fit my taste. They has treats and eats which made the late night stop even better! I can’t wait to go back!

The bubble tea here is excellent. I usually order it with half the sweetness because I find that the normal amount is a bit too sweet. Parking here is a pain. They share the same parking lot with 99 ranch and the other smaller stores next door. I usually end up circling the lot about three times before I find someone pulling out. People here can’t drive!!! I only go here when I shop at 99 ranch or else it’s not worth the parking hassle for me. Indoor area is suitable for hanging out or studying. Decent amount of tables and seating. The noise level can get loud if they are blending smoothies or if a large group of people come to talk.

Been here three times so far. Perks: fast service, no line, clean, free Wi-Fi so it’s great for getting some work done. Cons: cashier was curt, ran out of boba. Overall a top-notch place — price is decent for the size, and the flavors are great. I’ve tried the rose green tea, passionfruit slush and mango smoothie and all have been spot on, although passionfruit was a bit too sweet.

I came here on a Sunday afternoon and although there was only 1 table left to sit at, there was only 1 person in line in front of me. They were able to get my honey milk green tea out quickly. I also ordered chicken bits, $ 4.50, which were pretty delicious. Great deal if you purchase 6 drinks with the frequent shopper card, you then get $ 3 off on your next visit. Many tea places make you buy 10 items before the reward. Cons: location with one of the worst parking lots in Houston

Solid place for bubble tea drinks in Westchase. Their menu is massive, from 28+ options for drinks to a full menu for food. I’ve tried their noodles in the past, wouldn’t recommend it. You can’t go wrong with any of the tea tapioca drinks(have to pay for the tapioca on top of the listing price). You can customize the level of sugar you want in your drinks. However, I have found that their sugar level is not very consistent. I can get a 5(extra sugar) and it would be less sweet than a 4(standard sugar) sometimes so not sure if anyone paying attention to the # on my cup. The store itself is very cute and intimate. I’ve come here to do some work in the past and I could spend hours here. The only bad thing is finding parking in this shopping plaza.

I see why I have avoided this place for so long. This visit will for sure be my last. This place is not worth my time so will make this short. Just ordered almond milk tea with tapioca and half sugar. First the tapioca are slightly undercooked and lastly the tapioca tastes like nothing. Usually tapioca balls after boiled are soaked in sugar water. If you like this taste stop by ranch 99 pick up a pack of tapioca and boil some water yourself. This place Sucks. Not to big of a deal but $ 5 minimum for cards! That’s crap

I went to Golden Oolong after shopping next door at 99 Ranch Market. Although they have a private parking lot, it can get quite busy. The first thing I noticed was how nice the interior was compared to other tea shops around Houston. I could find myself getting some work done if needed as there is also free Wi-Fi. They have an extensive menu with a variety of teas and food selections. I ordered the Jasmine Green Tea with tapioca — $ 3.25. It was a typical drink, nothing mindblasting. Overall, I would see myself coming back, especially if shopping at 99 Ranch Market or in the area. Pros: –Value –Private parking lot –Nice, clean atmosphere –Free Wi-Fi Cons: –None

When I first walked into Golden Oolong, the first thing that caught my eye was their menu and I was suddenly overwhelmed by all the options. There was one and a half boards filled for just drinks alone, and when I commented on all the variety, my cashier told me that there were even more drinks available since you’re able to mix and match. Needless to say, it took me a long time to finally decide on lavender milk tea. The tapioca had a nice texture, the there wasn’t enough lavender flavor in it for me and the milk tea was only average. My friend ordered the coconut milk tea and let me try some. Hers had the opposite problem I did, with a strong roasted coconut flavor that overpowered the milk tea. The ambience was fun and relaxing, and the decorations were fairly modern, with some traditional Asian characteristics. I noticed that none of the people working there were smiling, however, and I had to request for a stamp card after ordering and only then was provided with one. Parking gets hectic, as a supermarket is in the same area, but is doable. All in all, for a tapioca place outside of Chinatown, Golden Oolong is alright. The milk tea is average, and you have a variety of drinks to choose. Just remember to ask for the rewards card. Food 3⁄5 Service 3⁄5 Ambiance 3⁄5

So delicious!!! The minute the delicious fluid reached my taste buds I cried. It’s actually so good guys, please buy it! Definitely one of the top places to drink tapioca in Houston, TX. Really enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, a great possible study spot in the future! My friends got Roasted Oolong milk tea(x2), black milk tea, and the fried fish tofu. All of them downed it in less than 10 minutes. Overall I enjoy their sweet drinks, with really authentic flavor. They have a wide selection of different drinks great for all groups. Golden oolong is a good choice for a quick drink, place to hangout or just study. Will definitely be coming back in the future and I hope to try more and more drinks. –Jeremiah Ling out

I’ll only go here if I’m in the area or if my friends decide to come here after church… which is ALLTHETIME. My experience with GO is nothing to spectacular. I’m a huge fan of getting any milk tea, from almond milk tea to honey dew. And this particular place just doesn’t cut it for me when it comes to milk teas. To be honest it’s always a huge disappointment. It’s always watery, grainy and just not that great. What I will say is that their passion fruit teas, black teas, green teas are WAY better than their milk teas. Their availability it cup size is a plus. They have a regular cup and a Texas sized cup. For someone who does like GO and love their teas, then I would suggest the Texas sized cup. It’s only a dollar more. They also give you the option in who sweet you want your drink so that’s also another plus. I’ve actually tried their food and it’s not too bad. The only thing I’ll ever get is their spicy chicken nuggets. It’s crispy, enough spices, and cooked well. I’m just not really a huge fan of GO. I’m more of a milk tea person and their’s just doesn’t cut it for my taste. I would rather go some place else. BUT, I will admit that their food, and actual teas are really good.
