I’m a big fan of this place. if you’re looking for a laid back, no non-sense setting, great food, and a place to watch the game or just meet people I don’t think you can go wrong with Fuego. It definitely doesn’t have all the douchebaggery a lot of newer Houston additions recently have.

This place is great! Good food, bar, and ambiance. Indoors and outdoors so you can bring a dog if you’d like. They also haves games which makes it fun too.

No service the day before Thanksgiving. Too bad to. It’s my 1st time here. Bartender said I will be right with you then she disappeared for 10min. Then came back and still didn’t serve me.

the maple burger is DABOMB! man that was good! The only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5, is too many smokers in and around the place… they dont seem to take the non smoking band to heart… but mostly to lungs I guess. We’ll be back though!

No. The bartenders, the staff, the service. I would be better off eating chicken wings in an actual slaughterhouse. The food is great, yeah. But why put up with a bunch of unattractive waitstaff that are more interested in socializing than service? I also heard them solicting a bar customer for a good Unilocal review. Really? Kind of cheap and tasteless.

This bar has everything you could want on a nice day or night. The indoor/outdoor convertible walls make for a comfortable and open, airy atmosphere. The maple bacon wings are such a fun combination of flavors. It combines the syrupy goodness of chicken and waffles with the popular maple and savory bacon pairing found in doughnut shops. We ordered those alongside some traditional buffalo hot wings and the best bites came from mixing the two sauces together! The fries were also seriously good. Topped with cheese and green onions, the food here is far from simple and boring. A couple of added bonuses that make this place stand above it’s Washington Ave competitors are the private parking lot and variety of seating for any group size.

Terrible service and bartenders. Maybe they are still in the new bar phase but I wasn’t impressed. I was with a group of about 8 and we all ordered at different times individually at the bar and all had issues with service. Get experienced bartenders and this would be a cool place.

Their chicken wings seriously rocked my socks off, especially the maple bacon. The salad I ordered was huge and very fresh. Drinks price were a little steep, but the half price wings on Wednesday and the excellent patio help.

Service is not good. They are delayed… They brought a bottle of wine and opens it and left it. They brought our food. We have 6 people and they brought 3 plates. 30 minutes to change TV channel. Also– the owner said that he wouldn’t change the tv to the only game which is Sunday night game. There is no other games on… He is playing nineteen 80’s music and this is a sports bar. I can’t believe the owner of this place would run a place like this. If you want to enjoy food and enjoy games, get easy to listen to 80’s music. The owner aperantly said he would put sound on but doesn’t do it Also waitress don’t know their stuff

Not a good place to watch football. Owner likes to play loud club music instead of turning on sound for games. Patrons don’t dress for club scene so it doesn’t make sense.

Fuego’s is an open concept indoor/outdoor restaurant & bar. They have a decent house cocktail drink selection and an above average beer selection.(Always a plus in my book when someone carries Live Oak.) The food selection is a seemingly limited one. They offer different types of wings, some salads, hamburgers, and different toppings on fries. More recently we had their Thai flavored wings and spicy fries– both were excellent! Worth a try!

Pretty good — would say 3.5 stars. Neat bar and food was good with a simple menu. We had the firecracker shrimp and wings. The wings were tasty, but they weren’t great. Would definitely order the shrimp again. Servers were attentive and friendly and the restaurant was clean. We will be back, but may give them a few months to fine-tune the menu. Could easily be 4 stars once they get established

$ 3 bloody Mary’s yummmmmmm Service was great! Food AMAZING! The chef came out and made sure we loved everything. The maple burger was insane! Really nice and friendly staff! Then bartender(I think his name was Kyle) was also really nice. Can’t wait to go back.

Casual bar off Durham with ample parking. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Quick service and awesome music on Saturday. Pool table, shuffle board, and cornhole to occupy your time.

Fuego’s is a solid addition to the Washington pub scene. A group of friends and I checked it out on the first weekend for the soft opening, and in the weeks since, it seems like they have service ironed out. The owners, bartenders and staff are super friendly and seem to genuinely care about gaining a regular crowd — something that can’t be said for a lot of places in the area. The cocktails skew towards a Mexican vibe and the beer list is on point, with local favorites as well as some hard to find(but delicious) options on draft and in the bottle. Although the menu is a bit limited, it’s awesome all the way around — check out the tiger shrimp, Thai chili wings and bacon maple fries. Overall, Fuego’s is a great spot for happy hour or a casual Saturday afternoon — and if you’re trying to hustle your friends in shuffleboard, pick the far end and let gravity do the work for you!

Let me start by saying I’m a long time residence of The Heights and have watched a great many bars/restaurants come and go in the Washington corridor. Fuego’s was a long time coming, so when it opened my wife and I were one of the first customers. We are both bar food lovers and were eager to see if this new joint would set itself apart from all the other options on the strip. We met the owner, Vince, and he spent some time with us talking through the menu. He is VERY passionate about his food, and it shows. He spends allot of time in the kitchen cooking, then popping out to see if you are satisfied with the food. He told me a story about his search for the perfect bun for the burgers. He liked the Hubcap Grill buns, great choice, but they would not tell him their source. He sat in their parking lot for 6 hours waiting for their delivery, and scored the info he needed. Let’s talk about the food: The burgers are one of the best in town. Excellent, high quality meat blend, served on a GREATBUN. They are cooked perfectly to order, they are not afraid to cook a burger medium rare. The fries are thin cut in house every day. Somehow they hold up well under all the greatness they pile on them. We tried all of them, the Sweet Chili Fries with green chili and queso and the Sweet and Spicy Fries with Thai seasoning were the standouts. I would have liked a protein on the Sweet Chili Fries, chorizo maybe. The Maple and Bacon Fries are stoner heaven, a bit much for me. The wings are the real draw. I’m tough on wings, because they are so simple and so often F’d up or over complicated. These wings are big and fat, seasoned and cooked perfectly. Once again, we have tried them all but a couple really popped. The Thai Chili Wings were sweet with a bite. The Lemon Pepper Wings may put Fuego’s on the Foodie map. They don’t use the bitter shake that you find everywhere. Cracked pepper with fresh grated lemon rinds set these above all others. The wings are worth coming for. We have not tried the soups, salads, or tacos, but they look good. Some friends tried the Firecracker Shrimp and said they were great. They have enough taps to satisfy most beer snob and hipster type. Vince was proud of the fact that the taps are flushed professionally every month. This was music to my ears after drinking gallons of skunky pints at Luke’s and Bubba’s. Let’s talk about the service. The owner is committed and the bartenders have always been outstanding with us. I see some bad reviews that diss the service. I’m giving them a pass because they are 3 weeks old and are learning the customer flow. They have been swamped on occasion and I think they got in the weeds. I feel they will adjust to accommodate. I have to call out one reviewer, Ashley H. Here we have a Unilocaler who has generated 17 reviews, 14 or which are 1 or 2, and Coltivare manages a 3. She reviewed Jack in The Box, gave them a 1, and dissed the service. At Fuego’s she ordered a ‘TASTER’ of Agave Wheat Beer, that alone speaks volumes, and she SHARED that taster with 3 of her friends. Kill me! What the F is a ‘taster’? If you want to try a beer, order one! What bartender has time to stand around waiting for 4 drunk hipsters to swish wheat beer around their delicate pallets??? I don’t really know Terry the bartender, but he seems competent. If in his option your coven was too hammered to serve, I believe you were. Quit whining, and please stop writing bullshit negative reviews. I invite all to check my previous reviews, I try to tell it like it is, good and bad. I feel the negative reviews for Fuego’s are harsh and ill conceived. I’ve never in my life written a review this voluminous, but I like the bar and the folks that run it and I recommend it highly to all Foodies who enjoy great bar grub.

Soooooooo… if I could write a review about the food, this place would get 5VERY red stars. The food was amazing! Everything from the sweet and spicy fries to the green chili hummus to the maple burger. Also, the beer was cold and the selection as great — even had a Breckenridge option that made me feel at home. We had an odd experience with the drinks and one came out REALLY awful and the bartender and the server said it was right and then we told them again that it was horrible. Then, finally, they decided the drink was not right and that the bartender started to pour vodka in a tequila drink and stopped mid pour to put the tequila in… what?! Just dump it and remake the bloody thing. Last complaint, our server, Faith I think, was NOT good. She had excuse after excuse after excuse about how busy she was and our food took a million years for her to deliver from the kitchen. We asked her 4 times to get us more pits, FOURTIMES. I am not pleased at all by her ability to serve. There were not many people there and she should’ve given our party better attention, there were a lot of us. The manager, or kitchen manager, Vince(i think) was VERY pleasant. He apologized when we asked about getting some service and our food orders figured out and such. I approve of him and his actions. He did what he could to get our party figured out and set on track. Lastly, the décor was pretty neat. I think they could invest in a few more stools, but the bottle light fixtures to the long log community table was really neat. I may come back here as long as I have time to wait or i hear better service has been figured out.

Beers a little pricey for the area(but they did just open, so maybe they’ll start some happy hour pricing later). It’s beautiful inside with comfy bar stools. Hickory burger brought a lot of heat with raw jalapeño on it! Check out pictures of the menu and burger.

Came here on our bikes on a sunny Saturday afternoon to check out the newest Washington area watering hole. The bar is massive and the floor plan is wide open. Pool table, shuffle board and TV’s galore. They had the place all opened up(indoor/outdoor) since it was so nice our. Our bartender, Terry, was awesome. We had the wings and firecracker shrimp to go with our karbach’s. Huge wings and the shrimp were tasty and plentiful. They have a nice patio and looks like more ample parking than most spots on Washington. We will definitely be back. Cool place for sure.

I came here with some girlfriends on a Thursday night and enjoyed a few beers and sat out on the patio. The patio has many fans throughout, so despite the Houston Summer heat the patio was breezy and comfortable. There is ample seating inside and out. The staff was friendly and attentive. The bar has a cool set up with a large central bar open to the patio and the inside. There are plenty of TVs for watching sports! Looking forward to coming again soon and checking out the food.
