I really miss the Okazuya shop Toyo Sushi had at Liliha Square. So the offerings here inside Shirokiya doesn’t compare. I will occasionally pick up a quick bite from here but honestly it’s not on the top of my list when you have all these other vendors to choose from. I wish Toyo Sushi would re-introduce the Rice Krispies Atsuage here at Shirokiya. That’s what I miss the most. I would give an automatic five stars just for that. Ahh, nostalgia… I can only dream.

Toyo Sushi is a great little shop that you are going to have to look for. That is because the shop and its products sort of blend in with the other vendors. Location: Shirokiya Yataimura Food Court/Beer Garden on the second floor. Next to the musubi counter sort of near the escalators and directly across from Machida Tsukemono counter and Usagiya. Usually Ahi and Salmon Nigiri Sushi are prominent in the corner refrigerated cabinet. A nearby warmer holds the saba, salmon and miso butterfish. Look around and you will see a small sign indicating«Toyo Sushi». Sushi and Saba: Shirokiya has featured a saba, salmon and miso butterfish grill for decades. Toyo Shushi continues the grilled fish tradition. The grilled fish is expensive but it is also authentic and perfect. They also serve rolled sushi and nigiri sushi. We have bought the grilled fish from here for years and years. They also sell plain white rice and buckwheat somen and a few other items. Vegetarian, Vegan: The buckwheat somen with dipping sauce is vegan as is the rolled sushi which has only vegetables and or tsukemono. So if you are looking for vegan options at Shirokiya this shop is worth looking for. I usually get the rolled sushi bento with tsukemono or the buckwheat somen and then add on another meat free item from another vendor. Yesterday I had the somen and a quality musubi from next door for a very nice and nutritious meal. Sweet!

The workers are friendly n the bentos are okay. The garlic chicken is ok nothing special. They make their own garlic chicken sauce which is good. My first time looking or buying food from shirokiya idk why? IT took me soooooo long to get here LOL!!!:-) but I shall return to try other food here. Ohhh l almost forgot I also tried their mochi downstairs n it suck big time. The ones from Don quijote is good only if I can get their delivery schedule.

Located at the 2nd floor Shirokiya, near escalator, between Musubi and Tenryouan. I like their Garlic Shrimp. Unilocal365 — 280⁄365
