This place is mediocre at best. The food is so so. But, here’s the worst thing. I went there for Sunday brunch/breakfast at 10:15 am; I was staying at the Ala Mouna Hotel. They said they were closed. They close at 10am on Sunday’s for breakfast?

The staff is really friendly but the food is atrocious. Half of it was under or overcooked(like hash brown and French toast) some of it actually tasted dirty(like the guava juice and miso). And the breakfast buffet isn’t cheap so I suggest you order off the menu.

I usually come here whenever I’m staying at the Ala Moana Hotel. Conveniently located on the lobby floor, sort of outside of the entrance. I’d only recommend coming here if you are staying at the Ala Moana Hotel, like breakfast, and have no other place to go. The place serves as an all-you-can-eat buffet. Some of the usual items include rice, bacon, yogurt, bread to toast, biscuit, fruits, potatoes, sausages, French toast(you have to toast it…) and other items that sometimes rotate. The quality of the food however is not so great. I guess it’s almost like it’s been out for a while or that they don’t really make some of the food from scratch, like the French toast… The service is alright. I know they do their best to serve, like refill drinks, get coffee or tea, etc. But not much else. Again not much else to this place. I only recommend if you are staying at the Ala Moana Hotel and want breakfast but have nowhere else to go.

Although the server Eddie was sweet and very personable, I noticed that I was charged for the Adult breakfast even though I had none of the«Hot Items» and therefore assumed I would be charged for a Continental breakfast. As it was my first time, I didn’t want to argue but on returning to my room, I double checked and I was definitely billed incorrectly. As a result, I think I’ll find breakfast elsewhere tomorrow.

This is a 15 dollar bland breakfast buffett… coffee is decent and nice waiters. Pros: I didn’t get food poisoning. Cons: Unoriginal fare, which doesn’t live up to the other Outrigger locations(Hula Grill, Dukes, Or the Ocean Café… the one in the Reef)

Wow no love for this place on Unilocal.I was afraid to even eat here after reading all these horrendous 1 and 2 star reviews, but my mom had a voucher for 2 free breakfasts and I pretended to sleep in so they would just go ahead without us but she INSISTED on dining here. First off, this is a restaurant in the Ala Moana Hotel. This is not a destination breakfast place. Translation: the only people that should be eating here are the people sleeping in the rooms upstairs. This is your typical hotel breakfast buffet. Bacon, portuguese sausage, eggs, potatoes, benedict, Belgian waffles, pastries, fruit section, dry cereal. I mean c’mon what else are you looking for? Belgian waffles: true, these are cold, but there is a sign that says you have to put them in the toaster to make them hot and crispy. This actually makes them crispier and hotter than if they were all pre made. Fruit: the fruits were fresh and sweet, no complaints. PRICE: Is it expensive? Hell yeah. For $ 16 you can get way better breakfast at a number of places within walking distance.(Aloha Kitchen, Cinnamon’s at the Ilikai, Longhi’s, Goofy’s Café, and even Shorebird has the $ 15AYCE breakfast every day which has a carving station.) But hey we got two Sunday morning papers with our breakfast, and inside that paper were lots of great coupons for other places we can eat at.

Not the best breakfast buffet I had. Where’s the pancakes? Waffles? Sausage? Spam? Omelette? I didn’t really enjoy having to toast my own French toast. There was bacon, eggs, potatoes, selection of fruits, cereals, yogurt, and pastries. Service was okay. Not worth eating here for the morning for its price unless they expand their menu selections for breakfast or lower its price.

Came down from my hotel room hoping for a relaxing Sunday breakfast to find the place was full of Jr High and High School kids who were surrounding the buffet like vultures and playing in the food. Ended up trying the food and let me tell you. .the kids were right! The best thing to do with the food was to play with it because eating it was hugely disappointing. The“chef” outdid himself with the French Toast. Served right out of the freezer and placed in a basket with a sign for you to stick it in the toaster. However, if you plan on using it as a Frisbee to throw at your pal who is using his finger to taste the bowl of ketchup, the untoasted is the one for you.

We ate here today out of convenience being that we were staying at the Hotel. My husband remembers eating here 14 years ago and that the breakfast was bad. Well it’s still bad. Thank goodness for the toast and fruit. Bacon was not crispy rather soggy and stuck together in a greasy pile. Waffles were very dense and spongy and did not taste good at all. The breakfast sausage which was Bratwurst… was a grayish tone and tasted bad. Where’s the normal breakfast sausage or even Portuguese sausage? Hash browns in the shape of fish sticks were very weird and again not tasty at all. There was no variety in their buffet. It’s sad that you can tell all the pastries are fresh frozen. Never eating here again! Yuck!

It’s a buffet breakfast! It’s not something you write home about! I had seven pieces of bacon(which is a big mistake, I had a stomach after, lol) a waffle and a couple of slices of sausage. the coffee serve was not that great! I asked if they had a vanilla creamer the guy days no. so I settled with they have just the plain creamer, no flavor what so ever. Pastries are just ok. I had 3 pieces of pineapple cutlets. the pri c e for the breakfast buffet. $ 16 a person. I’ve had a better breakfast for 16 dollars…

The buffet was okay. The eggs were good but there wasn’t much else that usually comes with a breakfast buffet like an omelet station or just some extra sides. They had the typical meat and potatoes but I thought the hash browns were meh. It’s a relaxing place and was convenient since we were staying at the hotel. The secret service was there for Obama and that was a plus. Lol The juices were also not very good ;(

If you just want a quiet, relaxing, simple breakfast buffet you can go here. Very, very simple! you have the basics… Toast, pastries, juices, fruits, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, yogurt, cereals, hash brown, waffles & great service. Like I said very simple.

Great place to start your day with a $ 16 buffet full of scrambled egg chef style, portuguese sausage, bacon, waffles, grits, rice, pastries, juices, coffee, fresh fruits. Must i say more? Yes, it is on the pricey side but it was good esp when you are hungry from all the running around at the airport the night before.

This place is terrible. It is $ 15 even with a military discount. The food is always cold! I came first when there was a rush because of some school children, but then later on in my stay(about three weeks later) I went back. The food was freezing! The only thing that is awesome about this place is the staff. The staff is five stars, the food doesn’t even deserve a star. The food is just growing bacteria at lukewarm temperatures. On the other hand the staff is so warm you might forget about the food.

Took my mom, grandmother and her friend here on a Wednesday morning. I wanted to take them here to breakfast, since we were heading to the shopping center right right after and I had a good experience my first time here. My mom and I debated on going here since we were leaving Wahiawa before 9:00am and we would arrive there before closing, meaning we wouldn’t have much time to enjoy our food(Plantation Café closes at 10:00am). My mom and I decided to chance it and just go. We see one of the employees passing by outside and asked if they were still open and she said yes! We were excited and were greeted by two friendly hostesses after helping the customer in front of us. The following foods that they had: Cold Items: Orange & Guava Juice, Milk, Assorted Fruits(Honeydew Melon, Watermelon, Papaya, Cantaloupes and Sliced Apples with Li Hing Mui Powder), Make Your Own Yogurt with choice of Strawberry or Vanilla, Assorted Pastries, Assorted Cereals. Hot Items: Steamed White Rice, Scrambled Eggs, Link Sausage, Bacon, Poached Egg with Country Gravy, French Toast with Condiments, Biscuits with Condiments, Toast with Condiments. Overall, the food was good. Although for the Make Your Own Yogurt, I would’ve liked to see more fruit variety, perhaps berries. The only fruits they had were the Cantalope and Honeydew Melon, which were already in the line but chopped. Other than that, awesome customer service! The employees are very friendly; greeted us and said goodbye as we left. Our waiter was attentive and friendly also, talking story and checking on us, refilling our drinks and removing finished plates.

1. Value: Decent breakfast buffet in a pinch.(Only open for breakfast.) 2. Food: Two separate visits in different weeks have shown some decency consistency. They offer a continental buffet(cereals, pastries, breads, some fruits, yogourts) for $ 12.95 and a full buffet(add bacon, rice, scrambled eggs, potatoes, grits, ham) for $ 16.95. The food was constantly being refilled, warm, and decent for what you pay for. Remember, you’re not visiting a Vegas buffet — but you’re in the tourist zone, but the food is decent for the price of admission. 3. Service: Front of the house staff tend to be good; the person in charge of seating folks and processing credit card charges(or giving change) is often overwhelmed or slow. 4. Atmosphere: Almost like cafeteria-style dining at a late-90’s restaurant… with floor-to-ceiling windows that look into trees and plants. It’s conveniently located at the Ala Moana Hotel if you are staying there/nearby. 5. Verdict: Good; recommended if you have a hankering for a breakfast buffet.

Great job again here at the Plantation Café. Normally, you sacrifice quality for quantity with any buffet. Not here. Everything is fresh, the eggs look and taste like eggs, great breakfast meats, cereals, pastries and awesome papaya.

They have a pretty decent breakfast buffet. Ate here twice since I had some delayed flight vouchers to spare. Overall, I wouldn’t mind eating here again. For $ 14.99, you get everything in the buffet and of $ 10.99, you are limited to the cold items. Needless to say, I sprang fro the full buffet both times. I don’t eat much, so the small plates were fine by me. It might bother others though. There were scrambled eggs, another special egg dish each day, bacon, sausage, hash browns, home fries, fresh fruit(papaya, pineapple, watermelon, cantaloupe, & honey dew), french toast, waffles, cereals, juices, and lots of baked goods. Plus, there are nice little touches here and there like the option of coconut syrup for your waffles as well as guava and pineapple juices in addition to the orange. Really, they do a solid breakfast. Nothing to complain about, but I will say that if I had to pay for my meals, I’d probably skip it and eat elsewhere only because it’d probably save me some green and I’m not really a breakfast person to start with.
