Outstanding staff at this CPK !!! Friendly, smiles and laughter. Sitting at the food bar… I observed that many customers do NOT tip the take out server… Why? They prepare your order and check it… Most of all they put up with a lot of rude, ridiculous people. Yes!!! the food is delicious. Mahalo!!!

Stopped in on a busy Saturday evening at the Ala Moana location as we had to sample some of their new menu items. CPK has always been known for great California Style pizza, but as they’ve always experimented with new pizza flavors, they’ve been really stepping out beyond the pizza and pasta world. Food: The three of use all ordered new menu items. Poke Chop Salad, Seared Ahi, and Grilled Rib Eye. The Poke Chop salad was excellent, nice cubes of fresh ahi served over a bed of mixed greens. Seared Ahi was also a winner, slices of ahi grilled to perfection on outside leaving the interior perfectly rare, served over a bed of roasted farro and bak choy. a little spicy which added a nice touch. And steak. oh yeah you can now order a nice 12 oz grilled rib eye steak. I ordered my steak medium rare, while the steak was not overly thick they still managed to cook it perfectly. I’m going to have a hard time in the future ordering anything besides the rib eye! The only downside was the steak was topped with a generous dollop of compound butter, unfortunately they didn’t put it on quick enough so it never melted as intended, instead it sort of sat there in a solid clump, I eventually just moved it to the side. The steak may have been off the grill for a few minutes before they applied the butter, small thing but noticeable. Oh. and the bread. the bread… oh my the bread. They changed the bread a little while ago. instead of the soft french bread slices they used to serve(albeit not big on the flavor or texture profile), someone on the CPK team decided to change it up and go with a crusty, crunchy, chewy, sourdough like baguette. Whoever decided this. give that person a raise! I could probably just eat the bread with a nice glass(or two or three) of wine and call it a day. Service: Busy as always, all CPK locations on the island seem like they can double their floor space and still be busy. The wait can back up during prime dining hours so be prepared or go during off hours. Even busy, the servers are attentive and manager at this location jumps in to lend a hand. We were seated, he recognized the server was still busy managing another table so he quickly jumped in to take our drink order, get us water, etc. Atmosphere: Bustling, crowded, people laughing and having fun, everyone enjoying their meal seems to be the norm. Even with the wait, you will rarely see an unhappy customer who at CPK. Tip. if you can snag a seat at the bar. especially during peak times you can skip the wait, chat with the bartender, and watch the pizza chefs work their magic. Value: Can get a little pricey. I think my rib eye came in at about $ 27 but that’s actually a fair price compared to other places that do not match the quality. Our bill is usually a bit on the higher side but that’s probably due to the consumption of some of their fine adult beverages. The draft beer here is actually quite reasonable. the cocktail prices can get you though as no prices are listed on their cocktail menu. Overall: We enjoy CPK probably a couple times per month. We appreciate the consistent quality of the both the menu items and service as well as their periodic new offerings.

Every time that I pass by there’s always a long wait for this place. I’m not too big on their pizzas. You can buy them frozen and bake it at home for half the price. I swear it tastes just the same. There is a bigger variety if you go to the restaurant. They only offer a few of their most popular pizzas frozen. I come to CPK for their salads. Oh, how I love thee! Their Chinese Chicken and Thai Crunch salads are the best. I always seem to order the Thai Crunch as of late with avocado. It’s the mix of the Thai peanut dressing, peanuts, wontons, and rice sticks that gives it that oomph. If you get anything from this place, get the Thai Crunch salad. For dessert, we ordered the Butter Cake with vanilla ice cream. This was so yummy! The cake was served warm and moist, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream in the center. The stark contrast of the warm cake and the cold ice cream just turned my tastebuds into a frenzy, in a good way.

Never can go wrong with cpk ! Quinoa, asparagus, arugula salad is winner !!! I also get the Sicilian pizza and pesto Alfredo ! This place can get so busy and it sucks so bad but when we have gone the staff have managed to move people in and out appropriately! I’ll stick to the staff subject, I feel like I’ve had the best customer service in a busy restaurant from cpk, at multiple locations ! So I don’t mind waiting! So as long as we don’t have a bad experience we won’t stop coming !

Popped in for a late lunch today and sat at the bar. It was relatively quiet since it was after 2, mostly just tourists and late lunchers. I ordered an iced water with lemon and a Caesar salad. And some of their yummy toasty bread came out with that fantastic olive oil dip. Unfortunately my salad was WAY overdressed. My tongue still hurts from the sharpness of the dressing. Luckily my server James was really cool. He not only told the salad guys about it but also a manager who came over and ended up comping my bill. So sweet! I decided to order dessert so as not to totally bum out my server. Their red velvet cake is like heaven in dessert form. Super moist, not too sweet, and the frosting is divine. I bake at home so I know how hard it is to perfect cream cheese frosting and theirs is on point! All in all an excellent trip to cpk despite the salad upset. James is a great server if you get him.

CPK… what can I say that hasn’t already been said? This place is definitely my go-to when I can’t decide on where to meet my girlfriends for a quick bite after work or for lunch during the weekends. They’ve got appetizers, salads, tacos, pastas, pizzas, and alcohol, among some other notable items. Their food is consistent and full of flavor. I especially enjoy their Chicken Tequila Fettuccine an Kung Pao Spaghetti. Their popular BBQ Chicken Pizza is good too for the rare days I am craving pizza from CPK. As for their salads, I enjoy the Chinese Chicken Salad and the Original BBQ Chicken Chopped Salad. All of their appetizers are good, too. Be adventurous and try something new each time you come here. I’m sure you won’t be let down. Service is usually consistent — I have no complaints, nor do I have anything extraordinary to report. The Ala Moana location gets really packed during the evenings and the weekends, so I do suggest you come early. Wait times can be 45 minutes — 1 hour. Luckily there’s usually live music nearby for you to enjoy while you wait. They don’t take reservations. And there’s bar seating if you don’t mind it. I’m definitely a fan. Check it out. I think you will like it too. Enjoy!

Sunday night was quite busy, so 40 minutes wait time was Ok. We were buzzed about 15 minutes after the quote time. We already knew what we wanted to order. Server was nice and I specifically said Avacado Egg Rolls for our appetizer, mind that the Avacado Egg Rolls is an Appetizer on the Menu. Bread and drinks came out fast. Waited 20 minutes and still no appetizers. When the food finally came, the Avacado Egg Rolls came out with my entrée, Kung Pao Spaghetti. 2 minutes later, our Thin Crust Pizza came out. Egg rolls weren’t hot. Spaghetti was hot but the portion has gotten a lot smaller. Thin crust pizza wasn’t crunchy but was chewy and hard to cut. Server refilled waters but never refilled my kids drinks.(Kids drinks have free refills, right?) Might just order take out next time and eat it downstairs in the food court.

Ordered a kids meal pizza with ice cream sundae. My son didn’t like thr icecream and gave it to me. I didn’t like it. The sundae tasted like frostbite. The hot fudge tasted horrible. Thai crunch salad with avocado is always good. The waiter was nice.

I have never been a fan of CPK; but I commend them for introducing an eclectic fusion of Asian inspired flavors to the mainstream of America. The prices aren’t horrible, but they could be $ 3 -$ 4 cheaper and they’d feel just right… Taste wise, go with one of their two main dishes — pasta or pizza. Overall, very tasty whether you’re getting pepperoni and cheese staples or gorgonzola and pear combos. Pasta is good with their asparagus spaghettini, although thry lazily chop in the bottom most parts of the asparagus spear, the ones that are chewy and stringy and widely inedible. Other our server was friendly enough but relatively inattentive; never filled our water and he didnt offer the standard parmesan cheese and pepper on the pasta. A nice floor manager walked by at the right time and got us some… but when shaking chili pepper flake on my pizza the lid popped off and a dune of pepper graced my pie… I was sad, but of course the manager got a new hot and ready replacement in front of me stat. All in all good job but didnt blow my hair back…

I know CPK is quite popular and this was the first time we tried the restaurant. I’ve had the frozen pizzas and done the quick airport meal before in the past. My first clue would have been to order a pizza. Instead ordered the chicken jalapeño lime pasta and immediately regretted it. The first word is chicken so I was expecting some chicken. Well there was about 4 microscopic pieces the size of my fingernail cut up as if feeding to a cat placed on top. I thought oh there must be more mixed in the pasta. No that was it, super disappointed and that was $ 16. The appetizer of avocado egg roll was to die for! My 1 yr old daughter ate two. My friends seemed pleased with their meals and that’s why I didn’t send mine back. Or maybe if was all the drinks they ordered made the food better idk? They had fish tacos, fettuccine Alfredo and BBQ pizza. I didn’t want to make a scene and it was crazy busy for veterans day. So maybe it was just an off day, to overwhelmed, or that’s business as usual? The staff was very friendly and that’s why it gets 3 stars. Our waiter was amazing!(His name wasn’t on the name tag because he had written he was a vet that served 10 yrs). When my daughter was getting fussy he gave her a little ice cream sundae and that made her night.

Let me start off by saying this is my favorite resturant!!! FOOD: AMAZING everytime i visit the food never fails me, the consistency of food between all the locations are the same and i love it! its never a bad meal! i have visited all of the CPKS on the leeward side of the island and i must say they really have it together the meals are always the same quality… SERVICE: the service is always top of the line, the servers are always on top of things! i really love how they give house bread, and if you get it with the balsamic vinegar its the best! LOCATION: the ala moana location is one of the most busiest i must say! but i do love the speedy service once your in there, the wait for the food is never to long! but there is tons of parking all around the shopping center PRICE: This is my favorite part! the prices are so good its reasonable for the quality of the food and service! this is my family go to place for all birthday and anniversary dinners! average cost of a plate is around $ 15 which is very affordable! OVERALL: overall this place has to be my go to place to have dinner or even lunch with family and friends! i love the vibes i get here its not to uptight, instead its a relaxing place to sit down and talk stories with your friends and family, its a good place to just sit back and enjoy some good food for a low price! i would recommend this restaurant to anyone because of the huge selection of food they have there! i also love how they have the pizza dough rewards cards which is a rewards program that gives you a dollar back for every $ 5 spent i believe! but they also do free appetizers when you join, and monthly they offer different things for members exclusive

3rd time coming to this location and as I said in my 2nd review I am a forever customer to this location! Kyle was my server today and he went above and beyond as to what a server should be doing. He was fun and friendly the service was prompt, he always made sure I was happy all while not bothering me too much(of hate being bothered too much) he was a team player with other employees even offering to help them bus tables on his down time all while making sure everyone in his section was taken care of 5 stars to him AND this location.

My boyfriend and I often come to this location for lunch or dinner. Warren was our server, he was very kind, attentive, and quick with his service. But we absolutely didn’t like it that he circled the recommended tip amount that is located on the bottom of the bill(posted a picture of it as well). We thought that it was very unprofessional, and it left a bad taste in our mouth when we left the establishment. Good service should speak for itself regarding tips, they shouldn’t circle how much tip we should leave! We have eyes and we can read, thank you very much Warren.

The wife and I came here for lunch. I tried the raspberry lemondrop and it came in a martini glass; not what I was expecting. The drink was pretty potent. The bartender definitely had a heavy hand when he made my drink. My wife had their mango smoothie. She loved that it was not too sweet and you could definitely taste the mango. It was really quite refreshing and surprisingly light. We had their crispy mac-and-cheese bites and Bianco flatbread to start. I love mac-and-cheese, so I had to get the bites and these were really nice and crispy. The white truffle cream in the Bianco flatbread was pretty potent, but otherwise, it was tasty. The flatbread was very light and had the right amount of crunch on the edges. For my entrée I had the Habanero Carnitas pizza and my wife had the Wild Mushroom pizza with the added white truffle oil. The Habanero Carnitas pizza was an 8 out of 10 in flavor. The flavors of the pulled pork and cilantro pesto complimented each other very well. I really enjoy spicy food, but the spice factor of this pizza was lacking. It felt rather mild. The Wild Mushroom pizza(shiitake, cremini, portobello, white mushrooms) was very savory with the added drizzling of white truffle oil. The White Truffle oil for an additional $ 1.50 was definitely worth it. Our waiter was friendly, fast to get our order in, and to get us our check.

This place sure is popular in the evening! I stopped by with family and friends last night and we were told it would be a 50 minute wait. We were handed a pager with flashy lights and we sat on one of the benches outside. Thank goodness for modern technology! While we waited, we spent a lot of time on our phones. I got to catch up on my email and social media, but that’s another story. After about 50 minutes our pager went off and we went inside. Once we got seated, the service was fast and excellent. We ordered our drinks and a short time later the waitress, Brooke, came back and tried to take our order. Some of us weren’t there because my nephew needed some fresh air. The waitress was totally fine with coming back later. The waitress came back to our table as soon as my nephew and our friend came back! I was impressed that she was«on it» and we did not have to search or wait for her. Our orders were taken and delivered to the kitchen. The food took some time to prepare, but it was understandable because the restaurant was completely full. There were many orders in front of ours. Our food arrived and I was happy with the food that I received. I just had to order a pizza since this place is called California Pizza Kitchen. They got to have awesome pizza right? I ordered a Meat Cravers thin crust pizza. It features Italian sausage, pepperoni, applewood smoked ham, spicy Capicola ham, and salami. It was delicious! I only ate half of my pizza because I’m on a diet. The waitress quickly boxed up the remainder of my pizza, delivered the check, and we were out of there quickly. She also stayed on top of our drink refills. I can easily see why this place is so popular! Above average food with great service makes me want to try this place again.

We came in to take advantage of CPK’s current Summer Strawberry promotion($ 10 discount on purchases over $ 40) and to make use of my Pizza Dough bonus reward($ 5). Luckily, because our visit was during a weekday, there wasn’t the«usual» long wait as we were greeted and seated right away. We were seated at a great window tabletop that featured views of the Ala Wai Marina and part of Ala Moana Beach Park. Our server, Kirtus, was friendly, energetic and efficient. I must congratulate him on having such a great memory as he effortlessly took our beverage and food orders without writing it down and delivering our food correctly. I also have to give credit to the kitchen and pantry for pacing the preparation of our meal. We ordered our usual California Cobb Salad, a hand-tossed White Pizza(mozzarella, pecorino, ricotta, Parmesan, Romano with sautéed garlic and spinach) with crisp bacon, iced teas and their featured strawberry shortcake. Everything was served at peak temperature and the generous flavorful portions were consistent with the other CPK restaurants. Our bill would have been closer to $ 50 for the two of us but with the Pizza Dough reward and promotion applied, we paid somewhere around $ 30. We received top-notch service, delicious food and a gorgeous view while dining at this location. I’m glad that I am a Pizza Dough member… why aren’t you?

For some reason, I always come here to grab lunch or a snack. Is it so wrong to be from California and eating at a CPK? LOL! It’s the only place where I’ll have a Thai Chicken pizza. But I’ve eaten here before and have had the bar-b-q chicken pizza and the pasta bolognese. They have a decent wine list and some fun fru-fru cocktails. The service here is always consistently friendly and courteous! Perhaps that’s one of the reasons why I’d keep coming back. We’ve sat in the dining room but I like sitting at the bar because you can watch the chefs making the pizzas. It can get really busy at peak times but definitely worth coming too. And if you’re from California, they won’t tell… LOL!

Call me crazy but I came here with a group of 18 for dinner! As we all know, CPK doesn’t take reservations so it was definitely a risky dinner choice for such a large group. However, we gambled and we won so woohoo! So how did we do it? The secret is that you can call one hour ahead and get put on the wait list. The person who answered the phone was super surprised when he heard how many were in the party but quickly recovered and said he would see us soon. So I showed up a 10 minutes before 5pm, checked in with the front staff, and waited for the rest of the group to show up. A long table was all set up and waiting for us so that was awesome. A true test of how well-run a restaurant is, is how well they handle large groups, and I have to say CPK handled us like a pro! We got our drinks in no time at all and I swear our food arrived less than 15 minutes after we had all ordered. Considering how much we all ordered, I was quite impressed. Our drinks were frequently refilled and our waiter was never without a smile. Major props to our waiter, Maikai and the rest of the staff!!! Our group split into small groups to make it easier to order. My small group ordered the shaved mushroom and spinach flatbread, original BBQ chicken chopped salad, wild mushroom pizza on honey wheat dough, and the Sicilian(already on thin crust). Everything was so tasty and it was enough for five of us. My favorite was the Sicilian – this pizza burst with flavor and was so darn delicious. We substituted chicken for salami at no extra cost. I would totally get this again next time I dine at CPK. If you are not a Pizza Dough Rewards member yet, you should sign up! You can do it in person at the restaurant or via the app, which is what I did. I don’t come to CPK super often but I am never disappointed whenever I do!
