Cheap food and decent service. I really like their pepperoni Stromboli and their breadsticks. However I’m gonna be knocking off a star bc sometimes when they reheat my pizza it comes back burnt or with some char. Other than that it’s a pretty good place and it seems they’ll be reopening soon

I actually really like their plain cheese pizza and the 2 whole pizzas for $ 20 deal is 5 stars in my opinion, but I am knocking them 2 stars because many times they will not answer their phone to take an order when they are busy. They are closed for renovation right now(due to a fire, I believe) and they do not leave any message letting people know when they try to call in, it just rings and rings until you finally get a message asking you to enter an access code — not too professional. Sbarro Ala Moana, improve your service a little, let people know you are closed/when you plan to reopen when they call and consistently answer the phone for orders when you are open and I will happily increase the 3 stars to 5.

I would give this place ZERO stars if it was possible. Customer service sucked. Pizza sucked. My daughters couldn’t eat thanks to the bottom of the pizzas being burned. Never again will I go to this place.

Surprisingly and not surprisingly one of the more packed places in the food court. Surprisingly because this food court has so many choices and unsurprisingly so due to the fact that people are sometimes creatures of habit. This Sbarros like any other across the U.S. foodwise. Barely average somewhat Italian food. But sometimes you just want familiar even if you know it’s no bueno… I mean seriously, people are still watching American Idol. What dooms this place for me is the lack of social and customer service skill here. They have two registers and only have one open no matter how busy… they save themselves from counting a second register at the expense of the customer. Six people behind the counter and only two actually working… The rest singing a rendition of L.L. Cool Js ‘Don’t call it a comeback’ while mixing in a F bomb or two… Now that’s Italian. I frequent average food joints but if your not going to have great food, you at least need to pretend you halfway give a crap customer service-wise.

Service: 3.5 Food: 4.5 Atmosphere: 4 Average total: 4 We came at 8:45pm when the food court was about to close so that we can get a cheaper deal. It seemed like the staff was a little uninterested in helping the paying customers and more interested in passing on freebies to the security guards and random mall employees. I noticed to security guards that just cut in front of us before we paid were served first when they weren’t even in line. We didn’t expect there to be fresh items as it was the end of the night, but on this particular night there were a lot of burnt items on display. The workers did not know how to work in an organized fashion they were just taking random orders and throwing it in the oven. When we got to the register the cashier seemed to be a little flustered. At first she seemed irritated that we were questioning what she charged us for. But it wasn’t her fault the mix-up was from the other employees that were putting the wrong orders in the line-up. Food was ok. It went in the oven looking perfect, came out looking and tasting burnt. Atmosphere is the food court so can’t expect much. At the time we went it was pretty much empty. Thanks for the experience. Looking forward to improvements next time we come.

It’s a food court place so it’s not amazing but It’s good deal with this month’s coupon and the service was good really fast and didn’t have to bother much with the line this time :)

Nobody reads Unilocal before going to the food court. We all realize that you get what you pay for in this world. $ 20 for two is peanuts; but we really feel like we just threw money away tonight. Sadly, we don’t expect excellent customer care, just«decent» service would be fine in this setting. But Sbarro failed. Been to Sbarro on Oahu, but not here at Ala Moana. First, service was AWFUL! Initial encounter was with this awful Sbarro server(with a tribal tat on her forearm). She handled the stuffed pizza like it was playdough and ended up giving us the wrong stromboli. You can’t even give me a piece of cheese pizza for the survey because I don’t want email specials reminding me of my horrid experience. The food SUCKED. Why? The stromboli was so damn burnt it tasted like fn toast; and found out at home that we were given the wrong item. Even the soda was flat; no ice. I hope whoever owns this franchise reads this; it all starts with leadership. In this case, the lack thereof. My wife said they have enough sales volume that they simply don’t care. Sad but probably true. No more dough from me, that’s for shua.

Honestly the food is fine. My problem is hearing a manager(bald man with dress shirt) I’m guessing yell at the staff just go. And yell at the customers including calling them lying. I ordered 2 calzone things. He took one another lady took the one from my girlfriend. My girlfriends one was done first and he was pushing people around this caused it so we almost didn’t get the dipping sauce. When I questioned that he said no only one you only have one. Not aware of anyone else but aware to yell at everyone. Including customers move and order now. Being hostile. If I want hostile I’ll go to New Jersey. Avoid the manager jerk. Foods ok.

A mall food court standard for over thirty years. $$ but a decent slice reheated in oven for you. US survival food.

I’m giving a one star rating not for the food, but for the service. I walk up and place my order to the girl who was the first one on the right of the line of servers. I told her I wanted which combo number. She then asked me which sides do I want and also explained which sides aren’t included in the combo. I told her I wanted the penne. Instead of serving it herself, she then passed what I ordered to another server. Server #2 then prepared a large serving of the penne and gave it to me. I then took it down to the cashier. The blondie cashier is the smuttiest cashier I have ever encountered! She didn’t even smiled nor looked at me. She was just staring at my tray while asking me what I want to drink. After punching in my order, she told me my what my total is — NOT the price of the combo meal. I then explained to her that I ordered which specific combo number. She said to me that the food on my tray isn’t the combo meal because the penne is a large serving and not the combo serving. It’s totally not my fault for the confusion there because Server #1 passed my order onto someone else. What I can’t believe is that she is trying to make this turn out to be my fault, and didn’t even asked if I wanted to have my penne dish switched to the combo size. Cashier just stood there waiting for me to pay, didn’t even tried to fix this confusion. I guess server #2 realized her mistake and offered to exchange the penne dish into the correct size for the combo meal. Once she gave me the correct size, I paid for the correct price.

Oh God… where to begin. The hubby and I went into this Sbarro today to eat. The food was not the problem; the manager was. He had an attitude from the second we walked up to the counter. He was a big guy with dark hair wearing a blue apron and running the register. The girl that got us our food was really nice; no complaints there. The food is good. No complaints there. However; when we got up to the register to pay, my husband showed the manager our 10% discount card(hubby is military) and the manager kind of smirked and said«Let me see that» so my hubby handed it to him. The manager took it, looked at it, laughed and said«It’s expired»…which we didn’t know about and if we’d known, we never would have tried to use it. The manager then tossed the card on the counter in front of my husband and shook his head. D**k move. Then hubby asked if they do a military discount and the manager laughed and said«Yeah, no. we don’t do that.» VERY disrespectful. And keep in mind, we are not the kind of people who think we’re entitled to a military discount. The only reason we asked is that most places do give one; that’s all. We’re very easygoing people and we don’t make a big deal about things but this was different… It would have been no big deal but for the manager’s really bad attitude about the whole thing. He should be fired. I can’t believe that anyone would actually hire this big of an a**hole to manage their business. I have been a restaurant manager and there is NOWAY I would allow any of my employees to talk to customers or treat them the way this guy treated us. The manager obviously dislikes military personnel. That much was clear. *IFYOUAREMILITARY*, the Sbarro at Pearlridge Center gives a 10% military discount and the employees are a lot more friendly. Save yourself the trouble. Don’t even bother with Ala Moana. the customer service stinks. Pearlridge is only a short drive away. The food is better too :) The only reason I gave one star is because of the food and the nice girl who got us our order. If I could give no stars, I would.

They have a deal near closing that is pretty good. $ 10 for a whole pizza pie near closing time. You are able to pick and choose from the various pizzas to make a whole pizza.

i got food poisoning today from the Sbarros at ala moana — the sausage pizza. As I was eating it, I started feeling a bit nauseous. Tonight I got the full blown effects of it and have been running back and forth to the bathroom all night. I will never eat there again.

Fast and hot, just like I like it. On a quick lunch break. I had the stromboli with baked ziti. Stromboli was fresh, warm, cheesy and just a little kick from the pepperoni. The baked ziti was ok. Service was fast and pleasant. If only the tourists would learn how to clean up after themselves. There are no waitresses to take your trash to the bins for you. Other than messy tourists, the meal was good. Filled me up just right and hit the spot for just about $ 10.

Never been here before decided to eat lasagna. This time the lasagna tray was full so I knew must have just been made. It was ok and came with a piece of garlic bread. They piece looked small but after eating it I was full. Don’t know if I will ever eat here again. They offer a free slice if you do the survey that is on the receipt which I did. I will probably go back for lunch one day to get that free slice to see how the pizza is. Lots of staff behind counter but only one cashier and one person taking orders.

Oh my gosh! I am so craving a pepperoni pizza right now! For the cost its a bit pricy but whats not expensive in that mall? Theres something about the cheese that makes me crave their pizza. The employees are cool, local style laid back and most of the time smiling.

Dont come here. Young workers don’t pay attention. They are standing around, talking loud, laughing, dancing, playing with the ipod radio and not attentive to customers. The worker took my order and walked away when we were not finish ordering. The food even though they put it in the oven was not hot. Salad was wet and soupy. Other dishes like the meat ball dont look cook. The cashier was sassy and swore at us. The manager(blue collar shirt) who was next to her and helping seem not to care of what is going on. They don’t refill the condiments and utensils. The workers are on the phone and eating and drinking while they work and one of the worker just wiped his nose with a cleaning towel. No point work… Not even really working. No regard and no class truly no customer service. In the end food was not good so not worth it.

Incredibly bland pasta and great pizza equal food court mediocrity. The people that work here aren’t very friendly at all however if you’ve read the rest of my reviews on the food court, you’ll realize that ninety four percent of the workers aren’t. It’s sad knowing this. Can you imagine what kind of potential the food court would actually have if one hundred percent of the workers actually gave a damn?
