White sauce is salty as f! I had to dilute it. I also felt the pastas werent by any means complex. There wasnt an abundance of ingredients mixed in with the pasta and had I paid only a few dollars more, I could’ve had slightly better pasta at a sit in.

If your craving for some yummy pasta, minus great customer service this is the place. I always come here to get my pasta cravings filled but I’m usually hesitant because the service sucks so bad. There is usually only one person that works in the front that would takes orders, get the bread heated up, get the soup, package the salad, refill outside condiments as needed and pack all the food. Due to that reason service here sucks. You will often wait in line for at least 5−10mins just to order, then when it comes time to order that person is very impatient and will leave the register as you are ordering, and then after ordering waiting for your food is another 5−10mins and if that person forgets something you would wait an additional time to catch their attention it’s just awful. I honestly don’t Blane the front worker because again they are by themself, management there needs to have at least two people in the front for better customer service. The only reason I come is because they have the best damn pasta ever. I usually order the combo which comes with a mini spaghetti, bread(not garlic bread that’s an additional $ 3) and a small Cesar salad for about $ 9.99. I usually get the primivera with white sauce and it is awesome. The sauce is usually nice and thick with plump mushrooms, broccoli, and onions. If you’ve never ordered from here I suggest trying the primivera. This time I wanted to try something new so I got the spaghetti with red sauce and meat balls. I wasn’t expecting to be wowed like the primivera but I was wowed. The spaghetti with meatballs so simple but still delicious. Even though the customer service sucks, I still manage to make my way here due to the delicious pasta. I highly reccommend this place if your looking for some good food and don’t mind the bad service. 4 stars for mama’s spaghetti house due to the food alone.

I always get the chicken and mushroom with white sauce. The spaghetti is cooked perfectly; not too much, not too little. The chicken is delicious. The sauce is supreme. I think this place makes the best pasta I’ve ever had in my entire life.

Funny thing is that this restaurant is my mom’s favorite place to get spaghetti. Who would’ve thought that Mama’s Spaghetti House would be the house that my mama must get her spaghetti at? Just to clarify, this place is not an actual house, but it is the home of yummy pasta. It can be found in the Makai Market Food Court. Home to many eateries, Mama’s Spaghetti House is one of them. We usually stop by about once a month and they are very consistent with their pasta quality. Pasta is tossed in a skillet with sauce until hot and toppings are mixed in. Our favorites have been the chicken breast spaghetti with red sauce. So much chicken comes in the pasta, which makes me happy. The pastas also come with bread, which is great because their pasta sauce is a bit soupy. Service has always been professional and quick. Food is served right away piping hot. Complimentary parmesan cheese and crushed chili peppers are available and self-serve.

For the best deal for your money, try one of the advertised combo meals for $ 9.99. It comes with your choice of entrée, a side salad and a breadstick(drink is sold separately). I always get the spaghetti with meatballs, a caesar salad and an order of garlic bread. First, the portion size is about 1.5−2 servings. So, sharing your plate is an option. I always have leftovers even when I’m hungry. Second, I love the flavor of their sauce, but I’d say it’s not for people who aren’t fond of garlic, which is what makes it on the sweeter side. Bring extra mints if you’re wary of that sort of stuff! Last, but not least, the price for what you get is not bad. In total, you’d spend about $ 15.00(if you’re getting a drink too). I like to add on extra garlic bread, so I spend about $ 20.00 when I visit, but I don’t mind spending that much on a quality meal that I know will be satisfying. Plus, it’s like two meals, because I always have extra for later too.

After years of passing this place by, I finally decided to give it a try. I noticed they had a fresh catch special with Salmon(my fave fish) so I decided to order it. The portion was huge! The salmon was cooked perfectly although a bit on the salty side. I was given the choice of red or white sauce when I ordered and I had opted for the white. The sauce seemed like a garlic Alfredo and was delicious! My meal also came with a side salad and garlic bread all for $ 14 which was definitely not a bad price. I plan to go check out some of their other menu items in the near future.

This place has some great tasting pasta, better than a lot of the other sit down places. The cream sauces are just right and the tomatoes sauces are a real standout with lots of herby flavor. Just don’t get the chicken breastfeeding. It was the driest most flavor less poetry I’ve ever had! Stick with the seafood or meatballs!

Steak Italiano. You would think by that name, the cook had the common sense to marinade the piece of beef cutlet to further tenderize it. It tasted as an unseasoned pan fried meat on top of pasta with red sauce. The meat was chewy, unseasoned, and really had no role in the bowl of spaghetti. I’m sure there are various versions of Steak Italiano recipes. Mama’s version fell short of the promise of this item’s name.

I was hungry and I was craving for Spaghetti. Somehow, ended up here after class. I ordered the meatball spaghetti regular size and my bf got the mini carbonara spaghetti. Both plates comes with a ciabatta bread. I didn’t know what carbonara spaghetti was because I never tried it. My first taste of it was quite amazing. It has bacon, parmesan cheese and egg mixed into it, I think. It was really good! The meatball spaghetti tasted great too. Meatball was small size but soft. Noodles weren’t too hard, boiled just right. It wasn’t too saly or oily. Both plates were hot when we got it. The bread was toasted. It was good when dipped into the pasta sauce. It was a great experience. The priced for a plate was around $ 11~ with a decent portion. We’ll be back when I want some pasta.

Customer service is lacking here. Tonight I went here to pick up dinner and the girl at the register was shoving a snickers bar in her mouth in front of customers. When I approached the counter, she started to talk to me with the candy still in her mouth. The food is just okay. I had at least half of an onion in my clam sauce pasta and it didn’t even look like the bothered to cook it completely. Raw onions — eww. Lastly, if you plan to order you food«for here» make sure you eat it all or toss the leftover because the charge for a takeout container.

Every time I’ve eaten here either on a break from the place I work at in Ala Moana or for leisure, the foods been fabulous. One time I was on break and they took really long to get it out and I ended up only having 10 min left on my break. They made up for it by giving me free garlic bread which I appreciated. Yummy food.

We always visit Mama spaghetti when we are in Hawaii and at the Ala Moana mall and it usually never disappoints. The portion is huge and it’s made-to-order so it’s hot and fresh. This time I got the seafood supreme with marina sauce($ 13.95) and it was tasty but a tad too salty for my liking.

Ordered the spaghetti with meatballs, didn’t expect to enjoy it, but was pleasantly surprised at the unique taste. The marinara sauce is a bit sweet and leaves a bit of a strong herb-y aftertaste, and the portions are good. I would order from here again in the future

Not bad for fast food pasta. A good sized serving for $ 9.99. Roll needs some help, and marinara a bit too sweet for my taste. Edible but not on my favorite pastas list.

Wehhhh. Every time we vacay here, someone suggests eating at the Ala Moana mall(thanks, Dad). We’re tourists, we do tourist things. I always get the Seafood Harvest & halfway thru my meal, I always have to run to the bathroom and didn’t put two and two together until Monday night. I got the usual Seafood Harvest with tomato sauce. She told me they’re out of clams, only mussels, shrimp, and calamari. So shouldn’t I get more mussels instead of more shrimp??? I jst got a lot of shrimp. Per usual, halfway thru eating– mad dash to the bathroom. My uncle even commented that I have to run to the bathroom every single time. My grandma had the spaghetti and meatballs with tomato sauce– she also participated in the bathroom dash. I think something may be wrong with the tomato sauce. And this will no longer be a usual stop during our trips.

For $ 14 plate, I expected at least decent pasta. Instead I got a watery mess that ended up leaking all over the bag and then into my car– I don’t believe my ‘white’ pasta sauce should have the consistency of WATER. I’ve had MUCH better for half the price. I understand it’s in a mall, but even in the mall there are much much better options than this place. And their house bread is horrible. They should just buy it from Costco. If you want pasta, just go up to CPK, or go to Ward. just do yourself a huge favor and don’t spend any money here.

Wow this place is extremely slow. My dad and I waited in line for over 10 minutes just to place an order for my mom, then after 20 minutes of waiting, her food hadn’t even been started on so my dad asked for a refund and we weren’t the only ones to ask for one, in fact a woman before us asked for a refund because it was«just taking too long». Over 30 minutes total of waiting and that is just unacceptable for a food court. There are plenty of other good places to choose from.

Good pasta marinara(no meat)! Flavorful and quick, with a weird little roll that wasn’t toasted enough, didn’t have any flavor or butter… Quick waithelp service, very efficient.

I was really craving pasta so I decided to go to mama’s and buy some Carbonasa. Bad decision for two reasons: 1) the pasta was not cooked. I had to stop eating it after a couple of bites and to go home and 2) S.a.l.t.y. Since the carbonara wasn’t cooked thoroughly, I went home to recook the darn thing. After that it was fine, but then I realized how salty it was. It was salty enough for me to add some rice and everything still have enough salt. If I’m going to pay $ 10 for pasta next time, I’ll throw a few more bucks in and go CPK for pasta.

For«mall spaghetti», this place was… well, it was okay, but kinda meh. I tried the Spaghetti with Meat Sauce. While the service was quick and the employees were nice, I will probably not go back. The portion size was pretty big. The dish had a LOT of sauce and not too much pasta. Further, the meat in the sauce was kinda clumped together like it had been fried or baked and then not separated when it was mixed in to the tomato sauce. After I worked out of the dish the pasta, the remaining sauce was kind of soupy. The side of bread that the gave me was actually pretty good. It tasted deceptively fresh and not what I would have expected from«mall spaghetti.»
