I ordered the Early Bird with added chocolate chips and my boyfriend ordered the corned beef hash breakfast plate. We came here on a Monday morning — no huge crowds. Pros: — Fast service. Our food came out in about 5 mins! — Friendly staff — Inexpensive. They have tons of great deals for very affordable prices! — Plenty of parking — Spacious and clean eating area — Good food! Very solid pancakes. I added chocolate chips, but plain is really solid too. The fried potatoes are TODIEFOR and don’t get me started on the corned beef hash. Cons: — They close early at 2pm

Just finished breakfast here. Great place to eat. We knew it was going to be good when we saw all the locals eating there. Great food at very good prices.

Great deal for breakfast. Have had their corned beef hash as breakfast plate, and the spinach bacon cheese omelette which was fantastic with their delicious home fries/potatoes. Big fan of their blueberry pancakes; it is worth the upgrade! But their original pancakes are tasty too and super fluffy. And that coconut syrup is just perfect. Free refills of coffee. Came here three times during my 5 day stay in Waikiki. That good!

Definitely a good, cost effective place for breast! The coconut syrup is the best I’ve ever had and I don’t really care for coconut. The staff was very friendly and the food was great, we will definitely be going back!

Onolicious food at an affordable price Was craving some eggs benedict this morning and decided to checkout Koa Pancake in Kaimuki. As I entered Jonathan immediately greeted me. I ordered the Koa benedict with hollandaise sauce all ovah. Yeah, they did it. For $ 9.37 out the door this was one of the BEST eggs benedict I’ve had. Perfectly poached eggs and hollandaise sauce was on point. Jonathan did a great job by packing all of the condiments in my to go bag. It’s good to see people that really enjoy their job. Very clean establishment to boot Keep up the good work and I’ll be back

Very friendly staff and the food is great! The portions are satisfying and the food is always served within 5 minutes after I order. I eat here often and their consistency in what I just mentioned is what keeps me coming back. Aloha!

Good service. Fast solid pancake, macadamia nuts ones were good. But nothing to go out of our way for. Coffee was also on the(very) weak side.

My friend and I wanted to go somewhere that serves great breakfast and we decided to go here. Service: The service was great because the Aunty in the front was very nice and she was on her game. She was able to place our order quickly and we received our food in 15 minutes or less. Quality: The quality was great and the amount of food we get is more than enough. I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes, portuguese sausage, and eggs. My friend ordered the kalbi, portuguese sausage, and fried rice. The only reason why I am not giving them four stars is because I think they put her food in my plate and my food in her plate. It seemed like things were mixed together. The accuracy was a little off.

I first tried Koa Pancake house, when I was just visiting Oahu and my boyfriend took me to the Wahiawa location. They have assortements of pancakes, omelets, waffles and plate lunches. The menu at Koa Pancake and Pancake & Waffle house, seem to be identical. BUT Koa Pancake house is slightly cheaper. Anyways, they only open up to 2pm. I ordered the Fried Rice Loco Moco(AMAZINNNNG!) & my boyfriend got one fo the breakfast platters with banana pancakes. Loved it. Dining room: large with plenty of tables. It’s usually never full when I come in. Service: Great! I’ve never had a problem. They’re pretty fast too. Parking: back of the building, paid meters only. I saw cops there once, and they were super strict handing out tickets.

Terrible experience today. :(. I went in to treat myself to a breakfast burrito and order of French Toast. I’ve heard good things about the food here and met friends here for breakfast before. Today I walked in and got in line and patiently waited to be served. A woman walked in a bit after me & received a very warm welcome,(why didn’t I get a welcome?) **After all I had already been waiting there for five minutes and no one even acknowledged my presence.** Another woman behind the counter said to the woman that walked in after me and was waiting behind me «We will be with you in one moment.» No one ever said anything to me. I don’t want to say it was racially motivated or due to my disability being in there on crutches, but that woman that walked in behind me was Asian and not disabled. As I was beginning to lose dignity I decided to walk out the place and save face.

Loved this place. Stumbled upon it based on reviews. Filled with mostly locals, which is a good thing. Little lady at the register was delightful. Kids had spam and eggs(first time eating spam) and funfetti pancakes. Dessert for breakfast, a real hit. The wifey had macadamia nut waffles with their self serve coconut syrup and orange marmalade. What an amazing combination! I had sweet bread French toast. The coconut orange combo makes us want to come back tomorrow!

Service with Aloha is pretty consistent. The menu is simple and although I don’t care much for breakfast food, the family enjoys it here. The prices are reasonable and quantity /quality is aligned with satisfaction. I can see why they received multiple awards for«Best of…» The homemade seasoned potatoes is my fave. As far as the Portuguese sausage, exactly the same that I make at home, so yum! I tried the steak recently and they didn’t cook it the way I ordered it. Instead of having a bad attitude when I reported it, the workers was quick to remedy the issue. The replacement was perfect!!! I’ll be a repeat customer and pass along the word that this place is worth visiting for a good meal!!!

Decent cheap breakfast if you want some thing fast and filling. Large amounts of food for a very low price. I got a coffee and the Lite Breakfast which consists of 2 pancakes and one egg and two sausages. Honestly that’s more than enough food for me. I didn’t even come close to finishing my pancakes. All together it came out to $ 6.28. You can’t even get it that cheap at Zippys! The food was ok, it’s not going to blow your mind. Just regular breakfast food. But it did the job filling me up and it definitely worked within my budget. I’ll be trying the crepes next time, and maybe one of their omelettes.

Delicious breakfast food at a not so fancy place. Fast, easy, and delish! The best part? It’s so darn inexpensive. My friends and I were looking for a simple place to eat breakfast after a grueling hike. We were dirty(literally) and hungry. We found this place and it was just perfect! It fit all ten of us hungry individuals at a price that didn’t dent the wallet. It was great! I ordered the mac nut pancakes with eggs and bacon. My friends got chocolate chip pancakes, fried rice, and other egg-licious things. I really enjoyed the chocolate chip pancakes! It was nice and fluffy with a hint of chocolate chip. As for the macnut pancakes, I was really looking forward to some macnut sauce but it came with chopped up macnuts in the pancake! It was pretty good so I’m not complaining. Remember to clean up after yourself when you’re done. This isn’t a fancy restaurant, and one of my friends forgot to clean up after himself. It was kind of embarrassing… so try to avoid it! Also don’t forget to put money in your meter for parking! Sadly, I made the mistake thinking it was Sunday and earned myself a parking ticket.

I like places like these that offer a good meal at a great price. Nothing fancy, nothing overpriced, and it’s quick. You place your order and pay at the counter and they bring it to you. When you leave, clean up after yourself if they haven’t already taken your plates. Lots of paid parking in this neighborhood, either in the lot between 10th and 11th or behind their building off of kokohead. They have a pretty good menu, lots to choose from. They serve omelets, pancakes, waffles, spam & eggs, steak & eggs, etc. I would’ve given them 5 stars but this place is always hot inside for me LOL. Too much body heat that it never feels cool.

There are few times when I’m really craving breakfast but today I was. Koa is to breakfast food what L&L is to Hawaiian plate lunch… it’s a cheaper, less quality version but every now and then it can still hit the spot. We were searching for places and happened upon Koa… it seemed quick, easy and cheap– and it was all of these things. Honestly, the staff wasn’t very friendly and they weren’t willing to really listen to my order or do any substitutions(which is fair enough but you don’t need to be rude about it– I asked politely and wasn’t assuming anything). The food was mediocre, nothing to write home about but it hit the spot for breakfast food basics. Their hot chocolate covered in whipped cream and sprinkles was probably my favorite part, and it was cold enough inside that I could actually order it!

Nothing fancy… however good down-home food! Order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. A lot Of food for a decent price.‘ The banana pancakes are definitely worth the try!

This was my first Hawaiian meal in my trip. I got a loco moco and coffee. Loco moco because I have to get my Hawaiian comfort foods while I’m here! Loco moco is basically rice, beef Patty, gravy and egss. I got my eggs over easy so the runny yolk oozes to my rice and gravy. Exactly how I want to eat my rice. It reminds me of the Burger steak dish in Jollibee(I’m Filipino) but with eggs and less sweet. My friend got eggs and Portuguese sausage which also comes with pancakes which she didn’t know. It’s a lot of food for a very reasonable price. I really liked the sausage; sweeter than regular breakfast sausages. This is one of the many locations of Koa. I definitely liked my loco moco but next time I’d get the other Hawaiian comfort foods in their menu!

Met up with the parents and wanted to try something new. We were actually going to try Shaloha, but there’s no where to sit. Then we thought Azteca since we were in the area, but it was closed. Luckily, Koa was open and I had walked by this place in the past and often wondered about it. Order at the counter, get a number, find a table. Because they are busy, they don’t get to the tables in order to wipe them down. So I busted out my old waiter skills… LOL! The plates didn’t come out at the same time, but no worries. The two orders of eggs and portuguese sausage came out together, my parent’s club sandwiches came out one at a time, and then my side of Spam came out. Gave us more time to talk. The workers were all very nice… and funny. Definitely worth coming back to. I do want to try the pancakes!

Koa’s is a no-fail when you want a quick, simple breakfast. This location is convenient. The workers here are friendly and they keep the place clean(tables are wiped after patrons leave even though it’s a seat-yourself joint). You order, get a number, and place it on your table. They bring your food to you. The food comes quick, in under 10 minutes! There’s so much to choose from! Breakfast heaven. My husband always gets the trio & eggs(Portuguese sausage, bacon, link sausage – 2 of each). I switch between some of the omelettes or the Vienna sausage and eggs. I love their side order of CBH – and always get it extra crispy. Contrary to their name, I don’t care for the pancakes from here, but their crepes look pretty good. They also have loco mocos and waffles and some lunch items. Overall a great pick for breakfast in my book! Good portions and at super reasonable prices! What’s not to like?
