I think this is our go-to place before any Unilocal event at the Hawaii Symphony. It’s not because it is near to the NBC Concert Hall but because the food is always on point and the service is great. The plus of their location is overlooking Kakaako. When we arrived, we were seated promptly in the dining area away from the Happy Hour crowd. Our server was friendly and shared the specials of the day. While Dan ordered the blackened ahi, I ordered their filet medallions. Just writing filet medallions, I can still taste it as well as remember how it was prepared exactly how I requested(medium) and the sides of smoked mushrooms, mashed yukon potatoes, brandy-mustard sauce and broccolini complimented it well. Being still spoiled from our cruise, we were gluttons and ordered the chocolate indulgence cake with their housemade chocolate sauce served with vanilla ice cream(YUM). From the food to the service, it was stellar. We’ll definitely return here again regardless if it’s before a Unilocal event or not.

The food was excellentbut the service was terrible He never comes back to refill our water or tea or just to check if everything is fine we ate good but sat there dry… He’s a tall Asian man he needs to treat everyone the same.

Happy Hour with the co-workers is a must here! Fresh seasonal oysters, crab artichoke dip, warm Brie w/macnut crust are one of many on the HH menu. Be sure to try their Lavender Cosmo! Haven’t found anywhere else w this specialty drink on the menu. The variety keeps us happy! We want to try everything.

The food here was awesome as always. I haven’t been here for some time. It’s nice to know that the food is still on point. They started us off with the complimentary bread. My husband loves it and asked for seconds. They serve it warm with melted butter on top. I got the Asiago-Almond Crusted Scallops in beurre blanc sauce. It came with Yukon potatoes au gratin, grilled asparagus, red peppers, and caramelized onions. The hubby ordered Smoked Chicken Penne in pesto cream sauce with sun-dried tomatoes. My son ordered the fish and chips from the kid’s menu. It came with a drink and ice cream sundae. He chose lemonade for his drink. Every time that I’m here, I can’t seem to pass up the Burnt Cream. It’s their version of Crème Brûlée. The scallops in beurre blanc sauce was excellent. The scallops were cooked perfectly. They used to give five huge scallops. Today, I received seven average sized scallops. The potatoes au gratin was really filling. It came in a rectangular sized block topped with cheese. The grilled vegetables were caramelized from the cooking and had a natural sweetness to them. It balanced out the meal. The penne pasta was al dente. The pesto sauce was just right and very yummy. The fish and chips were good. The fish had a beer batter taste to it. It was light and crispy. Of course it came with french fries. My son wanted to know where the chips were, lol. He didn’t complain about the fries though. Then, they served my favorite dessert, the Burnt Cream. It’s truly the best. It’s creamy with a hard sugar coating, served with a side of whipped cream and strawberries. It’s located at the Ward Warehouse, second floor next to the Spaghetti Factory. Park in the garage. I like to park on the first floor and take the escalator straight up or park on the third floor.

This place pretty much defined sub-par on our visit. The appetizers were good, but they came out at least 30 minutes before our main courses. Drinks– pretty good; no complaints in taste or speediness there.(Bar must be well staffed?) However, the place is obviously understaffed in terms of waitstaff and(possibly) back of the house. My entrée was fine– the fish and chips. An interesting take on the tartar sauce; it’s more of a spread. Pretty standard fare bar food with a nice little cole slaw to cut the oiliness. The rest of our party ordered 6 prime rib plates. Only 2 of the 6 were cooked to order. The waitress tried to fix it, but there’s not really much you can do with over cooked meat, and the undercooked ones were pretty much sashimi.(They did, though, offer to fix the dishes. Everyone was just kind of tired at that point and wanted to book it.) The sides were also not correct for a couple dishes and our server promised to bring the missing ones but those never came. Our takeout boxes never came to the table, either. All in all: food is hit or miss, drinks were pretty good, but they really need to hire more staff.

Jenya is the most awesome waitress ever! She is super friendly, patient, so very sweet and über efficient! I think she is a wonderful asset to your establishment. I was so pleased with her service the last time we came for our workplace Christmas party this past December. Also, the food is superb and the ambience is heavenly. I’ve tried the cod tacos and today I’m trying the chop house burger with sweet potato fries. Thanks again Jenya for another job well done!

Noted that the«gentleman» next to me kept his hat on gangster-style, but the«lady» with him chewed gum until food was served! What happened to manners??? So sad, that dining is a lost art. Food was mostly good B+, sevice A-. Lobster perfectly cooked but salty. Good happy hour.

Came to ward warehouse to have some dinner with friends. Parking wasn’t a problem, the ward warehouse has a parking structure off to the side! We were able to get a parking right away in the structure. We had reservations and were seated right away after we were greeted and checked in at the front door. As we were being escorted to our table, I turned my head and noticed the nice view! We started with drinks and complimentary garlic bread which was tasty and soft like little pillows of goodness. My drink was on point! I prefer my drinks to be a little on the strong side but not too strong to where you only taste the alcohol. If you have too little or too much alcohol, it ruins the taste of the drink! At least, it does to me. So, my drink of choice for the night was White Russians! And it was a perfect pour! We had appetizers(calamari, carpaccio, raw oysters, and artichoke dip) Not one bad dish! We also had many different entrees, all of them on point also. Desserts(crème brûlée n bananas foster) were great also. Just wished that they flambé their bananas foster! It would’ve made the experience awsome! Service was good, food was good, and we shared it with good friends! I will definitely be back, I want to try their lamb osso bucco!

Fyi: Kincaids is on the 2nd floor, right beside the Spaghetti Factory. Park on the 3rd floor of the parking deck so you can just walk directly across the ramp to the restaurants. My husband, kids, and I were desperately looking for a place to eat on Easter Sunday after the Pirate Ship adventure across the street. When I called, they were not busy and could seat us right away. AWESOME! Our server was also very sweet and attentive, my apologies for forgetting her name!(Bad Unilocaler, Bad!) We had a great view of the boats from our table, and were in a pretty quiet corner. It’s been a week and I don’t remember exactly what we ordered anymore, but I remember that it was so good we were falling asleep at the table from food coma.

Service: The restaurant was clearly understaffed. The hostess and manager(?) were both running out food and we were often ignored by our obviously stretched waiter. The food orders were mistake free but we had to wait a long time for our drinks to be refilled.(½) Food: The food is always great here. I had the prime rib(Kincaid’s Cut). The appetizers are also delicious as well as the buttered bread they give. The clam chowder is also the best here.(2⁄2) Other: The atmosphere here is always great. Located at Ward Warehouse makes it very convenient for us and we never have trouble finding parking.(1⁄1)

Came here with a big group of people. Service was fast & friendly, complimentary buttered rosemary bread was delicious, and drink service was on point. I definitely need to come back to try other menu items. I love the interior décor here and wide-open atmosphere. The back of the restaurant has a comfy«den» feel to it, and the front by the windows is brighter with a vast ocean view. So lets talk food. I ordered the fish and chips, which is one of my absolute favorite combinations in the whole world. The presentation was perfect, three large filets with a metal cup of fresh fries and a side of colorful slaw. Ketchup, tartar sauce, and a grilled lemon wedge bring it all together. Let me start with the good: Fresh, crispy fries and a zesty, tart slaw. Nailed it. The slaw wasn’t overly saturated in mayo, and had subtle citrusy flavors among the green and red cabbage mix, streets ahead of most slaw offerings you’ll find. So why the 3 stars? The fish was so overdone that I simply could not finish it. It’s not that I didn’t want to, it was actually physically impossible. My first filet was flaky, juicy, and delicious, but the second and third made me wonder if I had wandered into a tire-eating competition. I gnawed at all sides of these pieces until finally giving up and leaving more than half the fish in a ravaged, rubbery pile. Maybe the cook forgot his kitchen timer that day, or maybe he accidentally battered and fried his doorstop. Whatever the case, I would suggest ordering something other than the fish and chips.

Late lunch. Sitting in the bar area with my two kids. We ordered quickly. Drinks arrived but she forgot(or didn’t hear) my Sauvignon Blanc order. Brought the bread, but we have no plates. Waiting for the utensils. I think it’s an off-day. Otherwise, we love Kincaids. They’ve been consistent with quality food, friendly staff, decent service(except the wait is long due to kitchen hold-ups when busy), and a comfortable bright atmosphere. Just a comfy place for family and friends with a terrific bar menu. We love the dining room side, too, when we have more time to linger. My daughter’s favorite — fish and chips. My son’s favorite — pasta and salad. My favorites — oysters on half shell, and calamari and artichokes at the bar, or the scallop dinner plate, and any specialty martini(I think the bar does delish martinis). We ALL love their classic crème brûlée for dessert. Get the diner’s member card that Kincaid’s gives points to AND they also give an ID Card discount. Yay!

I remember my parents taking me here for first time for my 6th grade graduation, and since then it’s been a place where I meet up with friends before a Blaisdell concert. I dig the sophisticated-casual atmosphere, and the afternoon and sunset views of Kewalo Basin are pretty sweet. Staff is great, tenders are on top of it — welcoming and friendly. Especially Chris(hey Chris!) and Doug the manager, who checks in on customers, and even remembered my name on my next visit — impressive! The happy-hour menu is reasonably priced for the size of portions served. Love the grilled teriyaki tenderloins pupu with grilled pineapple and white sticky rice. Its popular pau hana spot so both bar and restaurant start filling up quickly between 5 – 5:30pm.

Great happy hour from 4 – 7! Located right next to Old Spaghetti Factory and between the two, Kincaid’s is my choice. Behind offers a view of the marina which would’ve been beautiful but unfortunately, the street lights aren’t working and are just used for display(sarcasm). SN–(The homeless people probably took all of the copper). Oftentimes, Kincaid’s is busy(very popular for their happy hour) but we always get lucky to get seated as soon as we come in. Food is alright and is moderately priced; good portions and can be shared. An appetizer, a drink + entrée could cost you at least $ 40 bucks(w/o tip). I do commend their customer service, I’ve always had great customer service experience at at this restaurant.

Kincaid’s is always our restaurant of choice before or after a special concert/event/show. I can’t seem to get myself to try a dish other than the Chicken Dijon, but my mister is good at trying different dishes, so I just taste from his. As usual Kincaid’s deserves a million stars! I just simply love it here and look forward to having dinner almost more than the special event we are attending thereafter. I do hope you will locate when Ward Warehouse goes away, I will follow you where ever you are on this island. Thanks again for an excellent dinner and experience, as usual.

Not the same as before. Still, a nice place to host out-of-town guests or celebrate an occasion. Make sure you get a window table. The view makes all the difference. I’ve sampled a few dishes before, like the crab & artichoke dip and a couple of the pasta dishes. But I come here for the Rock Salt Prime Rib. Again, not the same as before, but still good. Ample parking, convenient location, and friendly service. Another good option in the Ward area.

If you’re looking for a place to hang out with your friends or celebrate a birthday, I highly advise kincaids. They also have this awesome happy hour at around 9PM. If you’re deciding on what to order, try their OYSTERS! Can’t go wrong! Rockerfellar oysters to be exact. The bbq ribs I had was fricken awesome. I must mention that the little cornbread Mac they had on the side was super yummy!

So… I’ve NEVER been a fan of Kincaids. While a long time Ward Warehouse establishment, service there has always been a little inconsistent. During lunch hour and even peak hours at dinner, the kitchen can né slow… I do recall though, management has always been attentive and accommodating. I once complained about the service and management quickly comped our drinks and gave us his business card along with a voucher for a free appetizer on next visit… so, all pluses. The food and menu I believe have changed, but it never blew my hair back… until this burger. I don’t know the name of it but it’s like basically the only one on the menu. It’s a cheeseburger and it’s fabulous. Couple that with the hefty side of tasty slaw, and the oh so amazing Bacon and Asiago Cheese fries? Awesome. Hair… blown back. See the two pics from two angles… try it. Love it.

Kincaids is now running their special of a set meal for $ 39. Yes, $ 39 for a salad or soup, entrée, and dessert! Kincaids is lucky to have ample parking near by to make this restaurant a destination for a nice sit down meal with a view. I ordered the clam chowder, prime rib, and burnt cream for my meal. Everything came out timely despite the restaurant being pretty crowded on a Thursday night. When our sever brought our entrees, she said they had just ran out of the prime rib so we were lucky we ordered when we did! The portions are large and everything tasted delicious. The burnt cream was such a large portion compared to the usual small bowls that they make this dessert in. I was absolutely stuffed and in a food coma to finish off my dessert. If you haven’t already, make reservations and eat a great meal for only $ 39 before Kincaids closes when Ward Warehouse goes down! But hopefully it’s true that Kincaids will return again in that area once they’re done developing.

We dined here again since the General Manager, Jennifer Hoss, so graciously invited us back after our last not-so-perfect meal here. We ate in the lounge during happy hour to try their different specials. Overall, the service here is 5 stars, but the food is still about a 3 – 3.5. The prime rib sliders were still tasty, but the meat was overcooked. The smoked beef tartare was good, but were served with a side of toasty bread slices with a huge slathering of mustard that totally overwhelmed the more delicate flavors of the beef and mesclun greens, which were nicely tossed with olive oil and salt. The teriyaki beef tenderloins were cooked fine(medium rare), and surprisingly tender. The ahi carpaccio was basically poke, served on refreshing cucumber slices. The rigatoni bolognese was rich and creamy, but the spicy Italian sausage in it was too hot for my son to handle. Our server and the chef were so accommodating, however, and made us rigatoni with just plain garlic cream sauce and plain toasted bread slices instead. For the price, I would return here for a nice lunch, but probably go elsewhere for dinner.
