The Paleo soup is to die for! Love those oreo brownies too! Plus I the location is awesome. you’re right there inside Na Mea books, there’s Farmer’s Marketon Saturdays, plus with a seat by the window you can see the ocean.

Great place to relax and enjoy some tasty healthy food and a cup of tea, amazing coffee, or some nicely chilled Hawaii-​sourced awa. All kine fun homemade pastries.

Amazing food and customer service! I’ve had the paleo soup, curry chicken sandwich, bagel sandwich, strawberry scone, and chocolate chip cookie (different visits, thank you very much) and they’ve all been so delicious. Don’t forget the coffee and wide selection of tea :) Currently this café is a one-​woman show, and Po’ai does an incredible job of setting up the good vibes and great music.
BTW the café is located in the back of Na Mea Native Book Store. Support local businesses!

Coming to the Kahua Cafè to enjoy a mason jar of awa and a chocolate cookie bar has become my Saturday afternoon ritual. Poai is an incredible baker. Moreover she is truly a hostess with da mostess! Stop in to Kahua Cafè (inside Nā Mea Bookstore) and relax and enjoy!

Kahua Café is amazing, and I can’t think of a better girl to run it. The owner, Po’ai is sweet, funny, and caring, and she makes amazing scones! Everything she makes features fresh and locally produced ingredients.
Most recently Kahua Café hosted the Costumer’s Guild of Hawaii for a Disney themed brunch, where families could bring their children to enjoy the characters. It was the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen, and you should have seen the children’s faces light up when their favourite princesses and princes were there to greet them.
It’s very cozy and welcoming, the perfect place to sit with a book, study, or hang out with friends. They offer snacks, café-​style lunches, as well as fresh brewed teas and coffees.
