Orders take awhile but the wait is worth it! Combos I tried: coconut & mango, green tea & mango. They are heavenly! You can literally see each shaved ice pieces in the perfect mount and each bite is like a little piece of cloud melting in your mouth. They have 3 sizes, and I’ve ordered the medium which is big enough to share.

Other reviewers described the shaved ice as a cloud, absolutely heavenly. I totally agree and will keep the message short: if you don’t try this, you’ve wasted a trip to Oahu. Oh, and do get it with the condensed milk.

Holy Shaved Ice! Perfect snowflake like ice bursting with real fruit nectar. Mix it up a bit before digging in… you won’t be able to stop. Try just syrup — mango and coconut. YUM!

This place does not serve you shaved ice, it serves you shaved cloud! Yes, it is so fine that it literally melts in your mouth, leaving the lingering taste of lychee, a cool breath begging for more. Had I found this place earlier, I’d be here every day during my stay at Oahu! It is really, really good! Forget what the price is, if you don’t try it, it’s totally your loss. Do note that this is the food truck and not the shaved ice store that is literally steps away. We nearly walked into the store thinking that was the place, and missed the little food truck party to the side of it. Parking is terrible, so be prepared a pay a little to park in the dumpy parking lot across the street.

Our first taste is shaved ice met all our expectations. Just delicious and unlike any shaved ice back on the continent. I was expecting something closer to a snow cone where the syrup barley glazes the ice but this is shaved ice like I’ve never had before, so finely ground it just melts like ice cream in your mouth. Try the lychee with strawberries! Fantastic!

It’s a random spot, well it’s a food truck that serves shaved ice. But not just any kind, milk shaved ice, which makes it feel like you’re eating flavored snow. The guy is friendly, nice too. I say if you’re in the area, try it out, it wont hurt to try.

Reminds me of eating snow when I was growing up on the east coast. What a great addition to Beachwalk Waikiki. Love the shout out Kama’aina discount. Flavors are wonderful and the softest shave ice we’ve ever had. Love!

Shaved ice like snow! This shaved ice is heaven… nothing like those awful hard snow cone like shave ice. Two of us shared a large azuki bean with matcha! Just delicious. There are many other flavor a and topping to choose. Located behind Trump Towers hotel on Beachwalk Street in one of 5 food trucks. Nice little area to eat with picnic tables and umbrella. Highly recommended! Easy walk from Hokulani Hilton, Embassy Suites, Sheraton, Halekulani, Outrigger Hotels.

Beware… this isn’t Hawaiian shaved ice. I don’t know what kind it is, but it’s definitely not like Ululani’s shaved ice. They have s/m/l sizes with flavored milk at the bottom and SUPERFINE shaved ice on top. The ice is almost powdery and sandlike, with your choice of flavor drizzled on top. It wasn’t bad… Just not what I was expecting.

I came to this food truck lot with every intention of having an «adult» lunch– and totally had dessert instead. As soon as I saw Hau Nani I said welp, that looks like lunch to me! They have lots of colourful signs and pictures of their shaved ice. It comes in all kinds of unique, mouth watering flavours such as salted caramel mocha, chocolate dipped strawberry, mango and pineapple… but of course, I was drawn to the Matcha flavour. I ordered a medium, because it looked too good to be satisfied with a small! It was delicious! I came to realize it wasn’t shaved ice at all, but more of a light, slightly milky texture. Because of that it didn’t need much syrup at all. It was smooth, fluffy and lightly sweet. The matcha was served with a generous scoop of azuki(sweet red beans), and topped with matcha syrup and a dusting of fine matcha powder. I hope to come back soon and try other flavours– the mochi surprise looks interesting!

Yummy! I love food trucks! Better yet I love shave ice trucks! This spot is on Waikiki Beach Walk in a spot with other food trucks. I love their mango shave ice! So good and they use real mango pieces in there too! The ice was finely shaved and each bite was heavenly! They accept cards here too!

Love the shaved ice here!!! And it’s in the same Food Truck Lot as the Kamitoku Ramen Lunch Wagon! — We’d just sat down to eat dinner from Kamitoku Ramen Lunch Wagon and I couldn’t focus on my food because I kept looking at the photos for all the shaved ice options that Hau Nani has. Not to mention that a family nearby had ordered some and they looked amazing. After finishing dinner, I walked over to decide on what we’d have for dessert. It took a little bit but I decided on the Green Tea Adzuki with added fresh mango on top, size medium so that my boyfriend and I could share. OMG the ice was shaved so delicately and melted so slowly that we took our time and really enjoy ourselves. It wasn’t too sweet to start, so I was at first wondering if there was any condensed milk on it… turns out they used a light hand and that made all the difference. An excellent way to end the our day, especially considering how hot it had been. There were so many options that I wish we’d been able to try them all. Well, guess that means I’ll just have to try them next time!

Hau Nani is a hidden gem tucked away in the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. The ice is light and airy, which is a nice change from the usual shaved ice. We got half mango, half lychee and strawberry. You can tell with every bite that the fruit was fresh. The owner was very friendly and you could tell that she took the time to meticulously craft your order. Hau Nani shaved ice is the perfect choice for a hot day.

Short walk from the Royal Hawaiian pink hotel. In a little food truck village. Super friendly service. Nice selection of flavors and everyone liked it. Shave ice is definitely unusual but it works well. Picture dense snow with a cool infusion of flavor.

The shaved ice is so good here! This little food truck is tucked in the corner on Beachwalk Avenue I believe. So here at Hau Nani, there are many flavors to choose from, but my favorite is adzuki shaved ice and another refreshing option is mango and pineapple shaved ice. They cut fruit and top onto the shaved ice that’s been mixed with a little condensed milk. So creamy and delicious. Don’t be discouraged by the condensed milk– the shaved ice has been shaved super thin, it’s like snow and the milk itself only lends a slightly richer taste to the ice, it doesn’t make it overly sweet. Most of the sweetness comes from the fruit and other toppings like red beans in the adzuki flavor. The adzuki flavor has red bean and green tea powder and I personally add mango on it. The red beans are rather sweet while the mango is refreshing. I don’t how, but they work together. It’s a lovely milky, sweet, and refreshing dessert after any dinner you have. The half mango and half pineapple is good too, but I feel like the adzuki flavor is more unique. One time, the workers messed up our order and added mochi and mochi powder to the adzuki shaved ice. It wasn’t bad actually. The mochi actually remained soft in the cold dessert and the mochi powder added more of an earthy flavor to the dessert. Still delicious. Service is a little slow since they make the dessert to order and the ice is vey finely shaved. The small size is now 7 dollars, they recently raised the price. But it’s so worth it and two people can share the small(it’s huge). By the way, they have kama’aina prices, but unfortunately, I didn’t qualify(but one day I will!).

Hau Nani Shave Ice is one of the food trucks located in Pauhana Marketplace on Beachwalk. What makes them different is that their shave ices are made of milk. On a super hot day, we got the small mango papaya shave ice(mango syrup and fresh mango and papaya) and a small azuki special. Both were very generous in size and very delicious! They offer their shave ice in 3 different sizes. I liked the fresh fruit chunks and that the shave ice isn’t overly sweet. Would definitely return! They also offer bubbies mochi ice cream. Yum!

This thing is like shave ice, snow ice and ice cream had a 3 some and out of that loving menage a trios Hau Nani Shave Ice is made. The shave ice name is deceiving but I’m glad my sweet tooth wife was lured in to the deception because my mouth wouldn’t have experienced such delight. Just by looking at the picture you couldn’t tell that powdery, sweet milk, is under all that fruit. The picture doesn’t do it justice you have to taste it to understand. +It’s a food truck located in Pau Hana Market +This truck takes credit card +Several benches to sit on check out my wife’s review for more information about the place:

It’s so fluffy it’s like eating flavorful clouds of happiness. It’s not the normal shave ice that I was expecting. Where the ice is shaved and then doused with sugary syrup. Instead Hau Nani ice is made from milk which was a welcoming surprise. You can choose to make your own concoction or choice from several different choices that Hau Nani has put together. My family and I tried the Green Tea adzuki. My family loves green tea. They enjoyed it so much we returned the next day to eat it again. It’s the milk shave ice, with adzuki bean, and topped with green tea powder. You can choose from 3 different sizes. The other shave ice we tried was the Strawberry and whipped cream. I also added mochi(dry mochi). It comes with fresh strawberries, fruit syrup, condense milk and whip cream. My youngest and I really enjoyed this. He could eat strawberries morning, noon, and night. Location: It’s located in Paul Hana Market Waikiki. This place has several different food trucks. It’s on the same street that Hard Rock Café, right next to the Breakers Hotel. Hau Nani shave ice food truck is located all the way in the back. It’s hard to miss. Parking: There is parking across the street. $ 1 per hour up to 3 hours. This parking lot only takes cash and exact change. There is no parking attendant. Be careful if you have a van or truck our van love tapped the sign. Customer Service: The man helping us was very nice and polite. English isn’t his first language. It does take a bit to make your shave ice you are given a pager that vibrates when your shave ice is ready. I really like that because there’s no confusion about who’s delectable treat is emerging from the truck. Other: –They except credit card –They serve BUBBIES Mochi ice cream. Unilocal, them it’s popular here in Hawaii. I love Mochi ice cream, but I met a few people who never grew up with it and don’t like the texture. My sweet tooth heart hurts for you :( The next time we are in Waikiki we are definetly going to return to try the other flavors.

I got the papaya and mango while my boyfriend got the coffee and caramel. It was his first shave ice and he enjoyed it: «it’s like eating snow from when you were a kid». Both tasted pretty good and were super fine shaved ice. The ratio of toppings, ice and condensed milk were spot on. Not too sweet. I wish there were more options though like lychee, avocado or taro.
