We went to Happy Hour to start appetizers and finish with Stake Dinner! West Coast Oysters $ 3 each(HH) — It has milky flavored and very fresh Oysters. Grilled double cut bacon $ 7(HH) — Oh yeah! Can’t go wrong with bacon! BLT Sloppy Joe $ 14(HH) — Looked good! I didn’t try it. Spinach Salad $ 14 — It could be better than that. Dressing was kinda weak and topping was less than I was expected. American Wagyu Skirt 10oz $ 57 — I heard that they broiled at 1700 degree so outside outside of steak comes out crunchy and inside is juicy. However it was not cooked like that. I enjoyed my medium but I wanted try their special crunchy steak. I just noticed that they don’t offer Dry Aging beef there… Crispy Potato Skins $ 12 — We should not order this. Potato had old oil smell and cheese was cold… Regretted. For the STEAK, Wolfgang’s Steakhouse is my type.

One of our favorite steakhouses now. We don’t usually venture to Waikiki but, we had our staycation for our anniversary at the Trump and this is located on the ground level. We made reservations for our Wednesday night dinner, seated promptly and our waiter seemed very knowledgeable and happy to explain anything on all of the menus(yes, ALL of them). We ordered a 14oz ribeye — cooked blue, the waygu cooked rare, potato skins, and two drinks. Complimentary popovers as mentioned in other reviews. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The side of potato skins were HUGE. They made sure to all wish us a happy anniversary and even when we had no room to order dessert — they brought a complimentary one out for our celebration. I would return for the service, for sure. Special occasion dinner for us $ 180 with 30% tip with plenty for us to have left over.

Super friendly and efficient waitstaff– Mediocre food that sometimes takes a while to get to your table– Their saving grace in the food department is their raw bar and their complimentary popovers(they are to die for)

Great happy hour here starts with floor to ceiling window views of the tourist foot traffic outside while you sit in soft leather bar stools enjoying strong air con and whatever is on ESPN. Very masculine with nicely worn in dark wood floor and warm browns and flat black all the way to the ceiling. Purse hooks for the ladies. Attentive friendly service whether you’re at the bar or at the tables along the windows. Two love seat sofa size seats for four at either end of the lounge. A couple of nice two tops for solo dining by ladies. It’s definitely a steakhouse experience. There is a good full bar with four BLT Sunset Cocktails at $ 7. You may be tempted to go crazy right away. From the raw bar — jumbo shrimp cocktail $ 12, oysters $ 3, kampachi or salmon or tuna sashimi $ 8, or tuna poke with spicy croutons $ 12. There are spicy or plain tuna/avocado, kampachi/jalapeño, soft shell crab/spicy mayo, salmon cucumber, pickled veggie/avocado handrolls for $ 8. Pupu’s — truffled fries $ 5, grilled double cut bacon $ 7, steak tartare $ 12, sautéed garlic shrimp $ 8, hanger steak salad $ 10, oysters Rockerfeller $ 12, short rib sliders $ 10, angus burger and frites $ 14, or a BLT sloppy joe and short ribs with frites $ 14. BUT … do not forget there’s complimentary Cajun seasoned real butter popcorn, a crazy good hot fresh Gruyère popover with unsalted butter and sea salt if you want, plus their luxuriant, fluffy, decadent chicken liver pâté with ruby port reduction and toasted ciabatta crostini. The port reduction with a piece of hot popover is so wrong yet so right. Don’t forget to see the Blackboard Menu specials to complete a proper afternoon happy hour.

Good steak house overall. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable of the items on the menu. Good ambiance. Our seats were outside overlooking the street. Soft overhead lighting and a candle at our table. Food came quickly. My ribeye was done perfectly to my liking. The sides were a bit small compared to other steakhouses I’ve been too but they’re pretty tasty overall. I just wished they have lobster mac n cheese. Our dessert came fast too. I was just disappointed that the serving was small for 12 bucks. I could’ve gone to the Cheesecake Factory and got a cheesecake 5 times bigger for 8 bucks. Oh well. Note for next time.

My favorite steak house on Oahu! They always cook my meat to perfection, exactly the way I ask. Their A5 grade Wagyu steak is so tender and juicy. They give you a couple different sauces for your steak and they’re delicious without it, but I guess it’s good to have so you can switch it up a couple bites. Service has never yet been a disappointment. They are very attentive and constantly checking up to see if we are ok or need anything else. The waiters know their steak. Any questions I have, they can answer. If you don’t want to dine in the restaurant area, there’s a raw bar area where you can sit also. I’ve dined here several times, but tonight was the first time I came on a Friday night and they let us go right outside the door to see the fireworks which set off from Hilton Hawaiian Village. It was a plus to the ambience.

We were looking forward to trying BLT for over a year now. Reservations were made online through the Open Table app which was super convenient for the technology friendly. We arrived about 20 minutes earlier than our reservation. The hostess checked us in and as she guided us through the restaurant to our table, we noticed a line of smiling servers, greeting us with a warm welcome. We were seated outside on the patio, which was nice for a change. It wasn’t loud, as the hustle and bustle of Waikiki can normally be and there was a nice cool breeze. Our server, Randall, was very informative with the menu options and we decided to order family style, sharing everything. After we ordered, the liver pâté was served, followed by our spinach salad, famous popovers, entrees and dessert. –Chicken Liver Pâté(complimentary): topped with a port wine jelly and served on a toasted baguette. The mix of flavors really test your taste buds. It is so unusual in a unique, amazing way. –Spinach Salad($ 15): spinach, red and green leaf lettuce, blue cheese, thick strips of bacon, hard boiled egg, red onions, fresh mushrooms, radish, baguette croutons with freshly grated pepper and a red wine vinaigrette drizzled atop. Just like any other restaurant’s ingredients but tastes better eaten here. –Popovers(complimentary): ginormous, crispy and flakey on the outside, moist and soft on the inside with grated Gruyère cheese baked in(you’ll taste it strongly on the bottom) served with a dish of butter and an oversized saltshaker. These are absolutely the BEST popovers I’ve ever had! –10 oz. American Waygu Skirt($ 55): so beautifully tender, topped with caramelized onions and blue cheese. It had just the right amount of char and served with a side of red wine sauce as a perfect compliment. –Spicy BBQ Kahuku Corn($ 12): firm and perfectly cooked with bacon bits and BBQ sauce that actually has a «kick» to it. Served sprinkled with chives. –Braised Short Ribs($ 37): braised for 4 hours to give it that«fall off the bone» soft meat that practically melts in your mouth. –Hash Browns($ 12): this was a random, but just had to try it! They were crispy all around, which is perfect for me and soft inside, perfect for my date. I’m guessing preference wise, this would be a hit or miss dish. –Mocha Brownie(complimentary): brownie bites with a chocolate pudding center, sprinkled with powdered sugar. Perfect way to end the meal. Everything was delicious and presentation was beautiful. Each of our hot entrees was served on a grill plate or cast iron pot, keeping our meal hot until we finished. The service was impeccable and we didn’t feel at all like the waiters were«hovering.» The manager even came over to greet us and ask about our meal. We can’t wait to come back.

Rhetorical question. Since when does a Happy Hour meal become a four-course meal? Well, that’s just what happened on our final night on Oahu in early February. Having enjoyed their happy hour menu a couple of other times, I asked my travel companions what they wanted to eat after our late ramen lunch. This was their choice. When we arrived, the tables were not available so we took the three bar seats furthest from the entrance. Coming on a Tuesday early evening, it was busy but not packed. Our bartender set us up quite nicely with our drinks. I opted for a Mai Tai since we were in walking distance to our hotel… don’t drink and drive… which was fruity with a slight kick. After a quick study of the menu and some discussion, my friend who dined here with me a couple years ago and I decided to share several menu items so that we could enjoy more flavors. Here’s what we shared: 1) Grilled double cut bacon( ) — If you are a carnivore, this is a MUST. As mentioned previously, think of this as a high quality ham pieces! It made the pub version on our first night pale in comparison. $ 7.00 2) Hanger steak salad( ) — Not knowing what to expect, this was a pleasant surprise. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare, tender and flavorful while the soy wasabi dressing complimented it perfectly, not overwhelming at all. $ 10.00 3) BLT Sloppy Joe( ) — The menu described it as follows: «Short ribs, bacon, BBQ sauce, and fries». It also came with a small vat of cole slaw and a pickle. Wasn’t my favorite as the meat flavor didn’t stand out. The best part was having the variety of sides. $ 14.00 4) Spicy BBQ Kahuku corn( ) — While studying the menu, this side piqued my curiosity so I asked our bartender about this. Next thing you know, we have a small pot of this on the bar. Let’s just say, I would order this again… alone! The flavors were amazing, think pork and beans without the starchy feeling. Best part of this… it was comped! 5) Mignardises( ) — After we polished off our food, this plate of sweet goodness closed our meal. Just think mini brownies. By the end of the meal, the three of us were grinning and nodding our heads at the quality of the food and our bartender’s extra care in providing us this meal. When the check came, my friend paid the bill since we had been taking turns throughout the trip. I asked to see the bartender’s name and surprised when I read it. Ikaika… now, is that an actual name or a nickname? I then started thinking about octopus(in Japanese — ika legs snacks that I buy at Long’s or Walmart). I just had to give her props for her generous and kind service. She is definitely promoting this restaurant’s assets in giving her recommendations. So, guys, when are we going back?

So this place is ok. I don’t think it’s on par with Wolfgang, Ruth Chris’, or DK. I have it in the tier with Signature and Morton’s. Anyway the décor is fabulous. It’s very spacious, clean, and modern looking. The service was pretty good. We ordered the RIbeye and NY Steak, Bacon, and Caesar Salad. The salad was good, but nothing special. The Bacon was very tasty. It came with a chimichurri sauce on it which was nice. However, when it was time for the main event, we got the incorrect steak. We got 2NY steak instead of a NY and a Bone-In Ribeye. They fixed it for us, but by the time it was ready, the NY was cold. Both steaks had a nice char and was cooked well. But they were bland. It was underseasoned and the meat just didn’t taste good. I would go back, but only if my friends wanted to try it. And it wouldn’t be our first choice.

I am a huge fan of steak and BLT is my new go to place for a good, juicy, flavorful steak. My husband and I made the mistake of both ordering from the course menu because it was such a great deal; $ 70 for an appetizer, entrée, side, and a dessert. However, it was way too much food for the both of us and one course menu order could have easily fed the both of us. First of all they bring out a small jar of liver pâté and crostinis. That wasn’t anything to comment on, but what they brought out next, the pop over bread, WOW, talk about goey carby goodness. It’s this big, crusty airy bubble shaped roll serve with salt and butter. You break into it and it’s mostly air inside, but the inside of the crusty shell is layered in this soft, moist combination of Gruyère and dough. They know you’ll love it, so they leave a little card with the recipe for you. I have yet to try to replicate it’s goodness. The raw scallops are served in a refreshing mixture of corn and peppers and the crunchiness of the vegetables nicely contrasts the sweet tenderness of the scallop. The mushroom appetizer served with a salad of mixed greens was also light and fresh. The sides, a cheese penne and a cheese covered baked potato were okay. The best part of the meal, of course, was a Bleu cheese covered ribeye with onions and chunks of bacon. It was so tender, I was almost able to cut it with my fork. The fat from the bacon gave it extra juiciness and flavor. Might I add they serve it with three different sauces. The only one I remember is a Bleu cheese sauce which was kind of odd since it’s encrusted in Bleu cheese. It really didn’t need anything extra added. It was that good all by itself. For dessert, we shared a salted caramel crunch cake and pineapple cheesecake. Nothing spectacular for my sweet tooth, but presentation was lovely. The ambience is nice for a romantic evening. Service was very good. It’s located in the Trump Waikiki and parking is via valet.

Hubby and I tried BLT back when they first opened and thought it was just okay, nothing to return to Waikiki for. Last weekend we were staycationing at The Trump and had a gift card for BLT anyway so decided to give BLT a second chance for our celebratory anniversary dinner. BLT is located on the ground floor of the Trump Waikiki. If you are not a guest of the hotel, just pull up to the valet(no self parking) and they will take care of you. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the friendly hostess who checked us in and congratulated us on our anniversary. We had a 7 p.m. reservation on a Saturday night and did not have to wait at all to be seated. The restaurant was alive and bustling, but a table was waiting for us. We were seated at a corner table with a nice booth and some comfy cushions. I loved this seat! They also have regular tables and chairs and an outdoor area, but I prefer booths. Upon sitting, we were greeted by our waiter who went over the menu and specials and asked if we wanted any drinks. We decided just to focus on the food for the evening and just stuck with water. BLT offers a variety of meat, poultry, seafood and side dishes that can be shared. We opted to skip an appetizer and go for the 40 oz. porterhouse for two and a side of the spicy BBQ Kahuku corn with bacon. Soon after we ordered, a complimentary serving of chicken liver pâté and two small slices of toasted baguette were brought to out table. The baguettes were really small, but one of the guys informed us that we could always ask for more. Thank goodness! Soon enough their infamous popovers were brought over. Yum! The popovers are airy and delicious. You are also given their recipe for them if you want to recreate it at home. Onto the main course. Our 40 oz porterhouse came bone in with a large bulb of roasted garlic and butter. We are not fans of buttery steak so we promptly removed the butter before it melted into the meat. They also bring 4 different dipping sauces: steak, red wine, peppercorn, and BBQ. The Kahuku corn side was a lot smaller than I was expecting, but it ended up being enough for us. Overall the porterhouse was cooked just as we asked and it was very flavorful. I found it interesting that they brought out so many sauces since I usually just like to enjoy the flavor of the meat at steakhouses. The Kahuku corn was a little too heavy and buttery for my taste We didn’t really see anything on the dessert menu that sparked our curiosity and were a little too full, but were pleasantly surprised when our waiter brought over a complimentary dessert that said«happy anniversary!» It was warm bread pudding and vanilla ice cream. I don’t remember seeing this on the menu, but it should be! I always love a good bread pudding and ice cream! Overall, we had a really nice dinner. I will say that the restaurant is very noisy so don’t expect a quiet romantic dinner. There are a lot of tourists and families as is expected in Waikiki. Service was great. Our waters were always filled and food came out at a reasonable time. Our porterhouse was flavorful and cooked as requested, no complaints there. Happy to see that our dining experience was better than the first time.

The valet here is amazing! Such efficient and friendly service. Upon leaving they even offered us water while we waited for our car, little things like that make a world of difference. Especially when you’ve had a few at BLT The ambiance and service of the restaurant are also on point. Although the seating of 2tops near the kitchen are a little too close for comfort, over all it wasn’t too bad. It was a little akward having all the server and server assistants standing just feet away staring at you and your every move. But it made refills and courses come a little bit quicker. I’m not sure if it’s the tight spaces between tables by he restaurant or just their style of service, but they kept he bottles of sparkling water, still water or bottles of alcohol in the middle of their service station instead of at the table. Which wasn’t bad… Just interesting. The side portions were quite small, even if the waitress said it was made to share. But the entrees are defiantly shareable. The quality of the food was superb and I will defiantly be dining here again.

I really wanted to be a fan of this place. The ambiance was perfection and the service was incrediblé. Unfortunately the food didn’t come anywhere close to matching the hefty price tags. The occasion? Our 2 year anniversary. As soon as we stepped in, everything was perfection. Staff in the front of the house was nice and seated us promptly, the server was even better. Super friendly and really great about his recommendations. To start, we had the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktails and Grilled Double Cut Bacon. I’m already not impressed, the Jumbo Shrimp cocktail was exactly that, so it was just fine; but the Grilled Double Cut Bacon was no good. It didn’t have any flavor and it’s saving grace was the chimichurri, which was also lackluster. I’ve never had bland chimichurri before but there it was. We both went for the Bone In Ribeyes and they didn’t even have a proper sear to them. I hardly even made a dent in the thing because I was already kind of full, but even after a round in the microwave the sucker was still kind of rare. The darkness in the restaurant must have disguised the mushy redness that was hiding in the center. Slowly, but surely, I ate the whole thing in several portions, because the thought of wasting it seemed kind of absurd. The whole bulb of garlic was it’s saving grace. Because it was our anniversary, they let us choose a free dessert. I still have no complaints about service, and am sad to leave such a harsh review when, truly I received top notch service. All the food we consumed was only tolerable because of the sauce/side that is meant to compliment the main dish. Will not try again.

Walked by one evening and Mike C. talked about the happy hour menu at BLT Steak. So we walked up to the entrance and checked out the menu. It looked very appealing and knew this had to be one of our meals during the trip. So we made the last meal of our trip, a visit to BLT for Happy Hour. The Happy Hour is offered in the bar area with seating at the long bar counter or one of the tables. After checking out the menu, which consisted of raw bar offerings, rolls and pupus and cocktails, wine and beer options. We then ordered our drinks and placed our food orders. We were first given seasoned popcorn. Then after getting our drinks, our bartender brought out a plate of complementary popovers. They were huge and were crispy and airy. So delicious with the soft butter. BLT Angus burger with fries — Burger was perfectly cooked medium as ordered. Served on a brioche bun with lettuce, tomato and sides of condiments, the burger was cooked medium as ordered and was very moist. Tasted Mike C.‘s Double-cut bacon. It was tasty, meaty slices of pork belly goodness. Our bartender then brought us a complementary bowl of pork and corn. Think pork and beans. Smoky and tasty. Our meal was topped off with a plate of powdered sugar topped brownies. Service was topped notch by our friendly and engaging bartender. A great Happy Hour offering that I would comeback for.

I come here for happy hour cus the food and drinks are cheap and delicious. Got the truffle fries and short rib sliders which is really short ribs in bao bun. So yummy Plus they give free bread which is so soft and yummy. A must have for sure. Great place for good food and have a good time. The waitress we had was really nice and they validate for parking for a specified time.

I have had better steak at Outback. I had 75.00 strip steak and ½ lobster. The steak was so tough and lacked flavor. The ½ lobster — even though it was grilled — my favorite preparation it has less meat than a slipper lobster. Waiter was pretentious. His helper was amazing though. Loved the popovers. Reminded me of the Yorkshire pudding my grandparents used to make. There is nothing special about this place. We should have went to Ruths Chris.

Hard to just walk in and get seated. Reservations are a bit of a must. Ordered some fresh scallop and it was really, really great with just a hint of horseradish right in the shell. The steak strips were marinated and extremely flavorful … I guess I didn’t order a traditional steak but I thought what we got was great. Oh and I shouldn’t forget the popovers … large and fluffy with very crisp and almost toasty outer skin … so good to start off with, but we had to leave room for the real dinner! I thought it was all amazingly tasty … I will definitely be back.

So Friday evening my date and I opted to try BLT Steakhouse located in the Trump hotel. Obviously BLT is a very well known steakhouse and having been my first time at this restaurant, I was looking forward to my experience. They did not disappoint. First impressions: Walking into the restaurant the bar is situated to the left. I was actually impressed, the bar area looked very comfortable as the seats were proportioned just right, not crowded together like most bars. If I have a chance to come for a few drinks in the future I definitely will. The hostess that greeted us was very pleasant, no snobbish attitude like I’ve experienced at some pretentious restaurants. Great start, typically how my night goes is dictated by my first impression. We were seated right away in a very comfortable booth and was greeted by our server(Chris, aka the oldest Chris there) I did happen to mention that coincidentally we share the same name, rather than blowing me off like most servers would, Chris engaged in conversation and was very personable. You can tell he is a career server as he was firing on all cylinders. Service/Quality of food: Absolutely spot on. As soon as we were seated our waters were served right away, they even have an option for tap or sparkling water. Fancy! While our server(Chris) was going over the menu options, a small amuse bouche of liver pâté arrived at our table. The pâté had a red wine jelly which cut through the saltiness of the liver, but the flavor of red wine was a little overwhelming. Shortly after the famous popovers arrived with a side of unsalted butter. The popovers were delicious! Nice crispy outside with a moist inside. My date took the recipe home with her so I will be expecting a batch shortly.(Only joking) We then ordered from the ala carte menu. Spinach salad for two was no joke. It was absolutely delicious by the way, I give the dressing two thumbs up. The portion size was incredible with fresh ingredients, this was a winner. Our steak, the 40 Oz porterhouse was cooked perfectly. Beautiful mid rare with an amazing crust, that was the first thing I noticed when it arrived to our table. The fillet was absolutely amazing, very tender. The New York strip was also very flavorful, you can tell it had a nice marbling to it. Although the flavor was great, for the price I can honestly admit there were higher expectations but overall it was a good piece of meat. We also ordered the black truffle mashed potatoes, very tasty and decadent. We then got offered complimentary desserts from Chris.(Chris you are the man) Arriving to our table was a chocolate peanut butter mousse topped with banana ice cream, ALSO a soufflé with lilikoi, and mocha brownies. What a treat, both tasted great although I couldn’t eat much of the soufflé. All in all, this was a great experience. The restaurant recently had sub par reviews so there was a bit of concern, but I’m glad we tried it anyway. For certain I will be back, if you all go? ask for Chris,(the oldest chris) as he will definitely take care of you.

(4.5 stars) BASICS: Located in the Trump Hotel on the ground floor. Parking is valet, and free 4-hour parking with validation at BLT. My friend had bookmarked this establishment awhile back, so we decided to try it last night(Friday). Some of the most recent reviews were slightly worrisome. Since we’d be paying a good amount for dinner, we wanted to go someplace with lots of high reviews. Despite the number of lower(i.e., 3 star) reviews, we were very pleased with our experience and will definitely return. My friend called to make a reservation at 5:30pm(restaurant opens at 5), and although we arrived early, we were seated quickly in a very comfortable, sofa-like seat. Service was absolutely excellent; our server, Chris(he referred to himself as the«older Chris» lol), was very attentive and came to our table multiple times throughout the dinner to see if we were doing well. Our waters were always refilled by either Chris himself or another waiter, our empty plates were removed from the table timely, and we were not at all rushed through our meal(granted, the restaurant was not overly crowded at that time). FOOD: First to arrive were the 2(tiny) slices of tasted bread and liver patte with red wine jelly. The patte wasn’t bad, but the red wine jelly tasted very strongly of red wine. Next came the 2 popovers… Beautiful, crispy crust and soft, airy inside. Unsalted butter and a salt shaker to salt the butter to our liking was served with the popovers, which was really quite unique. My friend also ordered some kind of beer that was recently added to the menu and he really enjoyed it. As for the main and side dishes, we ordered off the ala carte menu. We decided upon the spinach salad for our greens(absolutely DELICIOUS!!! The red wine vinaigrette went very nicely with the spinach and toppings), the porterhouse 40 oz steak as the main(cooked perfectly to medium rare. LOVED the filet mignon part. The New York strip part wasn’t bad either), and the truffle mashed potatoes as the side(savory and scrumptious!). Because there’s ALWAYS room for dessert, we ended the night with the chocolate peanut butter mousse topped with banana ice cream, as well as the crêpe soufflé with lilikoi, and the mocha brownies(complimentary). AMAZINGAMAZINGAMAZING. Basically finished the entire mousse dessert alone. It was THATGOOD. While BLT is more on the expensive side(as are all steakhouses), we will hopefully be back very soon. Our experience was absolutely wonderful!!!

Service: excellent! Host, waiter, bus boy: all were amazing and extremely attentive and the food was brought out in a very timely manner. Atmosphere: I would dress up a little but jeans and a nice shirt would suffice! Very dim lighting. Price: steaks $ 40−100(porterhouse steak for 2), sides ~$ 12(shareable), appetizers($ 15-$ 40) Food quality: we ordered the 22oz Ribeye Bone-in. It was big enough to share however even though we got it medium rare, it was very bland and hard to cut through. It was slightly chewy and I really thought for a $ 60 steak it would be somewhat tender but I was mistaken. Shared a spinach salad(very good)! Sides: stuffed mushroom(only came out with 6 small mushroom caps) not sure if it’s worth your money. Sides: bacon, cheese crispy potato skins were not spectacular and if anything I could make them better at home myself. This was really disappointing. They were supper crispy(over fried), dry on the inside… And the cheese was not cheddar, but some type of white cheese that didn’t really melt well. It hardened quickly and left the skins even more dry than before.

Unilocal Elite on the loose in Honolulu! I’ve dined at a lot of high end Steakhouses and also visited BLT in Vegas(which I absolutely loved) but unfortunately Waikiki’s location fell a little short for me. Tip: Complimentary 4 Hour Validation at the Trump Hotel. We were greeted by the host who sat us at a spacious table. Patio seating available and seemed really nice. Service was good and our water was always filled. However, the cup for soft drinks is small so if you want a refill you might need to wave the server down. Food: Complimentary pop over bread and Chicken liver patte. I’m not a fan of patte however the baguette was delicious. We ordered the following: 22 oz bone in rib eye, asparagus, stuffed mushrooms and jalapeño mashed potatoes. Although we were given sauces for the steak, i think the rib eye lacked flavor or char on the outside. I used a lot of chimichuri(love chimichuri) but that too lacked a bit. The ambiance is definitely not romantic to me and the music was played VERY loud. Don’t think I’ll ever return to this location.

A very nice steakhouse. The only reason I gave it a 4 stars n not 5 is because I only had the rack of lamb. It was cooked to perfection n the roasted garlic complemented very well. The ambience was great, good for dates, business or hanging out with friends. They have the best homemade popovers(bread) ever! Crisp on the outside n soft inside! So good! The service was very professional, but my favorite spot is by the bar. Great friendly service!

This is one of the higher-end steakhouses in Honolulu. Located in Trump Tower, it has an extensive bar(where you can eat dinner) and a large restaurant with a patio for dining. It definitely has a modern vibe to it. The steaks are good, and you get the whole BLT experience(they start you with chicken liver pâté’, then move to a freshly baked popover with sea salt and butter, and at the end of the meal, you get a little chocolate treat… all included with your meal!). The short ribs are very good(I would recommend them!), as are the fowl dishes. There are many sides to choose from, and everything is a la carte’. The service has always been excellent, and they have a full bar to make you any cocktail and a vast wine selection. Dinner is enjoyable, and the modern vibe is fun. If in Honolulu, try Hy’s Steakhouse first(my personal favorite in Hono), but BLT is definitely right behind and on par with Ruth’s Chris and DK.

BLT Steak is a chain, part of the Trump hotels. It is famous for their popovers, which apparently are better than those at Mariposa(the restaurant at the Neiman Marcus)! Perfect for a special occasion — it’s a fancy, impressive restaurant with impeccable service, an elegant ambiance, and beautiful presentation. I would definitely come back for a glass of wine and dessert, but it’s on the pricey side(they have an extensive list of wines, but many are readily available at grocery stores, and marked up more than usual). * To die for: Peanut butter chocolate mousse * Pretty good: Steak, broccolini(super buttery!), chocolate tarte * Just OK: Mac n Cheese, cocktails * Pass: Tuna tartare(a bit bland), mushrooms.

My mini-me has a favorite steakhouse and its Located in the Trump tower called BLT. It is most convenient to valet park with the hotel. The ambiance is dark with low candle light– like most steakhouses. Free starters include a new pâté’ with a red wine gel on top served with toasted crostini. I am just not a fan of the pure taste of liver. The popovers are great and light, we always save some to eat with the thick cut bacon appetizer. The bacon is served with a chimichurri sauce that has just the right amount of citrus. We like to eat family style so that we can taste a little of everything. We decided to share the bone in 14oz Ribeye for $ 60 and the chicken rosemary with lemon. You will not go wrong with either one. Service was stellar and he took the time to go over the menu, his favorites, chef’s highlights and wine pairings.

The chef is world class. My compliments to him on making a fantastic meal for us. My buddies took me here and I honestly didn’t know what to expect. They ordered the meal and I got one of my first tastes of raw food, prepared to perfection for our consumption.(It’s a mouthful I know) The chicken liver soufflé and hot fresh baked bread to start was good. We split three ways the raw seafood platter that came with Alaskan crab, shrimp, raw clam and raw oyster. There was also raw snapper(a little more firm than ahi) mixed in with cilantro, tomato and other sauce. I was excited eating it. After the appetizer came the 40 oz mammoth Porterhouse steak, served blood red on the inside. This steak was served how man was intended to eat steak. It was served in a method that opened the human mind to endless possibilities and paved way for the coming of a new man, that would build ships to cross oceans and rockets to go into space. This was that porterhouse steak. Every bit melted in my mouth. I gently dipped the steak into the four different sauces, but didn’t want to take away from savory taste of the steak. To top it off, of course I had to order the chocolate peanut butter mousse. Get it, it’s out of this world. The service was top notch and our wine glasses were always filled. At the end of the night my friends and I shook the maitre d’s hand. Dane, the maitre d’ was a fantastic host. I recommend calling the restaurant to make reservations.

Consistency is key… to many things in life. And consistency, without a question, is found here. The steak is consistently seasoned well and cooked to perfection. The sides and desserts consistently appeal to my eye and my taste buds. The service consistently meets my expectations. And, the ambience consistently makes me feel relaxed which help me enjoy my food even more. Therefore, i consistently leave here full and happy… and wanting more(despite it being on the pricier side).

BLT was better than most, but not particularly memorable, in my opinion. The waiter brought BLT’s signature Popovers and Chicken Pâté to start. The popovers were doughy and undercooked on the inside. I tried eating it plain and adding salt or butter, but it never lived up to the hype. I’ve had better popovers elsewhere. Maybe it was a bad batch. The Crabcake appetizer was juicy and I like that it wasn’t oily or seafood-y. I personally ordered the Acacia Honey Marinated Butter Fish and Black Truffle Mashed Potatoes. The fish was moist and tender and seasoned just-so. It was a very small portion, so I kept flaking off little pieces and trying to savor each bite. Everyone at the table liked it, but I thought the dish was a bit rich, especially with the truffle mash. What I really liked and wished I had ordered was the salmon(Seared Local Market Fish, farm raised). It was a generous portion and came with fresh linguine. We also shared roasted Brussel sprouts(perfect), potato skins(meh), and baked potato(a surprising and delicious twist). My brother had the Confit Lemon-Rosemary Chicken, which came it a heavy cast-iron pot. Although it looked like a hearty country dish, there wasn’t much meat on the cuts of chicken they used. The best part of the meal was the 8oz Filet. I tried a piece and it so good! The Filet alone is worth visiting BLT. For desert, we ordered the Maui Pineapple Sundae. It wasn’t so much a sundae as it was sorbet with whipped cream and syrup on top. I expected more pineapple, either fruit or flavoring, but the sorbet was nice and light and frothy. We also tried the Malasadas with Coffee Ice Cream. I’m more of a Punahou Carnival malasada person, so I found this version too lightweight. Overall, I think the menu showed potential, but it was a little unfulfilled, in my opinion. The service was alright, I thought it was kind of lackadaisical at times, but they were all really nice and I could tell that they put effort into little details. I would recommend giving BLT Steak a try, especially for the filet steak.
