On our way to Big Bend ate lunch here with four adults and three teens. Waitress very nice and efficient. We had hamburgers (large and delicious with home fries), Huevos Americana (scrambled eggs with diced onion and pepper, homemade refried beans, cubed pan fried potatoes, very good), grilled chicken salad (large salad piled with grilled chicken, delicious), menudo (very good), deluxe nachos (very good), and beef fajitas (very good). Restaurant is small but clean, with local charm, and restroom was clean. Will definitely eat here again next time I pass’s through Hondo.

I stopped in here with some friends while we were visiting Hondo. It was a rainy, cold day and we needed a break from the weather. I ordered a cheese burger, and oh my gosh, it was so good! Seriously, one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. On top of the awesome food, our waitress was a young woman who was very helpful and sweet. I would drive back down to Hondo just to eat here again.

My family loves Hondo Café, small town restaurant with friendly people. Food is always fresh and good. Hamburgers and onion rings are a must try! But anything from there is good. Plus they always have dessert!

First class all the way! I’m so glad my husband pulled into this café. The food was delicious and the service was so fast and friendly. Our waitress was so sweet and helpful. Very quick drink refills. They have Mexican breakfast and traditional eggs bacon omelettes pancakes and oatmeal. The coffee was hot and fresh. We will definitely stop here every time we drive through Hondo. What a find!
