With being Italian I am picky on what I call a good pizza. This place is good, nothing out of this world, yet it’s enjoyable. It’s a small restaurant, gets packed on weekend evenings. I ordered take out and the wait was longer than what I’m used to at places I usually eat at. Again, it’s a small place, a bigger place would possibly give them the option to have a bigger oven which could cut wait time. It is the better pizza place on the island from what I have tried.

When our waiter said«this is the best pizza in the world», we chuckled. Love the pizza. We ordered an extra one before leaving. Sometime we want to try the pasta dishes, because they look great coming out, but for now, we head to HHI when we want a really delicious pizza.

Decided to post as other reviews got us here and felt the star rating off. Address is completely wrong at time we visited and had to call them for address. Not in Port Royal– but on other side of island near Sams Club and Bi-Lo in Port Royal PLAZA(in the corner — a bit hard to locate). IF you looking for fine Italian food & willing to pay for it do not come here but go to Chef Michael Anthonys for legendary food and service. One of the best we’ve ever had. IF you hungry for inexpensive no frills ok meal than you may appreciate the huge portions here. Spilt the dishes and add a salad or soup. Didn’t have the pizza so star rating could be more for that. We just wanted some Italian food. The gruff but polite service put me off — I knew we should have left but wait too long in more popular places. Ingredients perhaps not top notch but appreciated that they tried. Recipes a little different spin … just a warning. Heard some(Italian/American) folks in another table complaining about the not authentic Italian dishes, but others liking the pizza.

My wife and I visited this weekend and were pleased. We ordered a pizza and a sub sandwich. The place was busy and they might have been a waiter short. Our waiter apologized for taking so long and gave us an order of garlic bread for waiting. The pizza said for one or two, but was more than enough for us. Great pizza. The sandwich tasted fine but the way it was built, hard to eat. The bread was split in the middle and when you folded it inward you got a bite of the cheese or a bite of the meat. The pasta salad that came with the sandwich had no flavor, very bland. I think if it was a little wetter with a dressing it would have been better. The pizza was great. Good crust, good topping and good size. We will be back for more pizza.

Found among many other restaurants in strip center. Well worn décor, but pleasant atmosphere. Prompt and efficient service – one of those servers who doesn’t need to right anything down. A good pizza; medium was plenty for us two. And even with 2 wines(generous pours) and 1 salad, total with tip about $ 30. Would return.

This place is a hidden gem on Hilton Head. The service is friendly and fast. The food is unbelievably good. The portions are family sized. The best Italian I’ve had in years. The dinning room is small and intimate with Sinatra playing. The wife and I had the Lasagna and the tour of Italy. Served hot with the cheese bubbling.

I’m a pizza snob and wasn’t really expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised. We just went with mushrooms and peperoni. Great crust Slightly sweet sauce Appropriate amount of toppings

Took my family here after a long day at the beach, and we were quite pleased. Service was great. Wings were good. Just the right amount of kick. Pizza was excellent. Nice sauce and great tasting cheese. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent food and service. Honest price for honest food. Just be careful not to order too much since they are big portions. Best vegetarian lasagna ever!

This place doesn’t look like much inside, but the food was absolutely delicious! Italian salad dressing makes or breaks my first impression and it was very good. Three of us had spaghetti. The sauce is sweet and«tomato-y», which is how we like it. My husband had lasagna and one of my sons had a slice of pizza. The slice was actually two, but was a huge portion. Every one of us cleaned our plates! I grew up in an Italian-American community and this ranks right up there with the best sauce I’ve had.

Went to this place in a recommendation… so glad we did. Off the beaten path. Doesn’t look like much. Definitely an older clientele… but I think they are happy to keep this place a secret. First the meatballs. Worth the upgrade and amazing. The farmers pasta? .word. So good. But the very best. The white sauce pizza. We had chicken and mushrooms… it was some of the best pizza we’ve ever had.

First day on the island in years. Asked the lady at the liqueur store where we could get good pizza. She recommended this place. We decided to dine in. It was a Tuesday evening and the place was packed. It appears to be quite popular with the locals. The pizza was excellent, but we did have to wait over 30 minutes for it after we placed the order. If you don’t mind waiting, I highly recommend it. 4−4−15 We decided to order a pizza to go on our last night here at Hilton Head. When I called to place the order, I was told it takes 30 minutes to bake the pizza. That would explain the long wait on our first visit. We got it to go and they gave us plates and napkins and Parmesan cheese to take bake to our hotel. The pizza was very good this time as well.

Foreign waiter not very informative and just very European service just average. Pizza was great, wedding soup and garlic bread was awesome. The other food was average for us as the sauce had alot of the meat cooked with it so it has a very meaty taste not for us but maybe others. The meatballs were very good as well. I would go back for the soup and pizza.

Good food at a great price!!! Dine in for lunch and order the special. Pizza, drink, and salad for $ 8. The pizza slice is the size of half a pizza anywhere else. Everything was delicious!!!

Decent pizza. Better than expected but not as good as Chicago pizza. Still it fit the bill for our pizza craving.

Visited Bella Italia for the first time this evening. Often passed it, but never entered. In summary, we had the Margarita Pizza on thin crust. It has garlic and herbs, basil, tomato and white or red sauce. Had the red sauce tonight. The watiress, Crystal was superb; very courteous and service oriented. The pizza was cooked with an extra crispy crust as requested. It was one of the best pizzas I had had in some time and far and away the best on the island. Will certainly visit Bella Italia again.

Food was awesome. If rating just on food I would give it 5 stars. We had pizza and it was fabulous. Wait staff was horrible. Inattentive and unobservant. My son spilled his drink and when the waiter came over right after it happened he didn’t notice the entire glass of water and ice all over the table. We had to say something. That being said, we would go back because the pizza was really good.
