HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PLACE !!! Worst customer service ever! I swear I never complain about anything but it’s twice that I go and never do they acknowledge the customers they for get about u! And the employees are all like not professional and a COMPLETE MESS !!! Like just no! AVOID this place by all means! Better to have McDonald’s than going to this Dump’

After seeing all the negative reviews for this location I wanted to add my two cents.
First off, we were there for brunch on a weekday. Were greeted and seated promptly and our waitress was friendly and fast.
We ordered eggs Benedict and an omelette. Each came with hash browns and were perfectly delicious. Food was cooked well and coffee was hot.
I think the key to eating in a place like this and being happy with your meal is knowing what to order. Do they have a ‘prime rib night’? Yes. Should you expect excellent quality beef cooked to perfection from what is essentially a diner? No.
Likewise with other items. They’re not going to give you great Italian food either are they? No.
They. Are. A. Diner.
Remember where you are, adjust your expectations and order accordingly.
Come here for clean, simple American style staples. Breakfast, sandwiches, maybe a bowl of soup or some yummy fried appetizers and you won’t be disappointed!

I have been to this exact Sharis twice and was disappointed 100%. One time I ordered an Apple pie sundae, after waiting for half an hour, it came but in a to-​go plastic jar, made us confused a lot! The other time, I ordered herb French fries and another dessert. The fries came wrong without herb and without soup by the way. The dessert made us wait for ONE hour. Finally, we were leaving with the dessert never being served. Experience with this Sharis was tooooooooo bad.

Have you ever been to Shari’s? I’ve been to many and it’s been great. But have you ever been to the Tanasbourne Shari’s? Well, you may want to think twice after reading this.
First off — it’s in a nice location. But it must be an expensive lease because it feels like they offset the cost with subpar food.
My 1^st mistake was ordering the «prime rib». On the picture — perfect medium rare. What i got — perfectly murdered a 2^nd time. It looked like a pork chop — except you don’t have to cook pork that thoroughly.
I asked about it and their policy is to cook meats medium or more. The manager offered to «try» and bring another one that was closer to medium but after seeing this disgrace to prime meat, I declined.
Which led me to mistake #2 — ordering again. This time country fried steak and stuffed hashbrowns. The hashbrowns were barely cooked. The bacon was fake. Barely any cheese, and no salt at all. The country fried steak tasted like a previously frozen one. The pancakes amazingly were burnt. There wasn’t a single thing on the plate that was cooked well.
The service was fairly bad — although it got better after I complained. The rest of my family’s meal was equally bad — no salt on anything, tasteless and slightly burnt.
Go to pretty much any other Shari’s — the food at this one is not on par with other Shari’s. I hope management takes notice — I feel like quality control is non-​existent at this one.

The employees are soooo rude. Ruder than anyone working in a restaurant I’ve ever seen. I worked at restaurant over a year and that behavior wouldn’t have flown by. I go in with my fiancé and I ask for a pie shake. I ask what the sizes were and the guy says «there’s only 1, $ 5.95» before I could even finish what I’m saying. I disgusting lady named Karen rings us up and I told her we got «2 pie shakes to go» since they’re all once price and size i didn’t think it mattered. «Okay what kind of pie shakes??» In the rudest tone. I told her they were the same price and it didn’t matter because if she was gonna act rude I’ll act rude back. She slammed my receipt and the pen down for me to sign. If I’m gonna spend $ 11 on 2 stupid shakes at last be polite. She was rude to other customers and coworkers in front of other people. If you hate your job quit because you suck. Will NEVER go here again. Disgusting customer service. You guys will go out of business.

I went to this exact restaurant one night, going just for chicken and dumplings, which is what I always get there. When I went in, it was freezing cold, and the booth we got was still wet and the table was sticky. I knew exactly what I wanted to order and said to my mom that if they didn’t have it we were leaving (because I got a vibe that they wouldn’t have it). When we asked, the waitress said they didn’t make that anymore, so we left the booth that was right in front of the loud gambling area, and I vowed to never go back into the ice cold restaurant again. Unless they start serving chicken and dumplings.

Manager on duty was so busy talking to the server that we never got service.
Both should be find other jobs!

I had been craving sharis for the longest time and I finally got someone to go with me! I was super excited. Right when my friend and I walked in, no one greeted us for 5 minutes. The manager walked by 3 times with no eye contact. Finally he comes to the front, grabs two menu’s and says annoyed «two?» Still no eye contact. He walks us to the table, slams down the menus. I tried to be nice and said thank you. He walks away without saying anything. I’m still sitting here after 10 minutes without anyone to even say hi. I’m a server myself and have been working in the restaurant industry for 4 years and there is no excuse for this kind of blatant rudeness. Concise it to say, we just left.

We waited a long time and the food was not great. The strawberry waffle was no good. They were not fresh like they say, they were in a heavy syrup that was so cold that it made my waffle feel like I was eating cold frozen food. We will not be returning.

A group of us from work had a meeting here recently. We didn’t make a reservation. About 20 of us. We were greeted & seated immediately. That’s awesome. Soon we all ordered. I got the strawberry crepes & a coworker of mine ordered spinach or farmers omelette dish. We shared a bit of eachother a. They were both really good! I didn’t expect really quick service or great food but we got both! I ordered coffee & got a cup plus another little heated container too so I never had to wait for a refill! We were a big group & literally all of us enjoyed our meals! It was efficient friendly & tasty! Satisfied!

Food was delicious the waitress was awful though, I saw her three times in the hour we were here. I’m not one to not tip at all but I can tell you she did not get 15% I was very disappointed. The place was empty, I could understand if it was packed but she only had two tables.

the food here is consistent and the service is absolutely wonderful! we are regulars here and it’s always a terrific experience

Terrible, terrible, terrible!
I actually went to a different Shari’s about 2 weeks before this and had the Hot Turkey Sandwich. It was so good I had been craving it again so tonight I stopped in to have it again. Wow! What a difference!
#1. VERY SLOW SERVICE! At least 15 minutes to come offer us a drink or take our order. Another 20 — 30 minutes for the food to arrive.
#2 FOOD WAS AWFUL! My wife had the Cedar Salmon but could only ate a few bites. I had the Hot Turkey Sandwich but it was nothing like before. This time my plate was half bare, a small scoop of mash potatoes and a very flat, thin, sandwich with barely any meat on it, half covered in gravy, and no cranberries until I asked about it. The worst part is it tasted as bad as it looked.
#3 I thought I might as well enjoy a slice of pie but before we had even given up on trying to eat our meals the waitress dropped our receipt on the table without even offering us dessert.

The service here is always awful. My son asks to come here and every time I say yes I end up regretting it. You will wait 15 minutes to place an order in an empty restaurant and then wait another 20 for your food. Really anywhere else is a better choice.

I don’t often give low points but, in all honesty, the only reason why I’m giving this particular Shari’s 2 stars is because the waitress was really sweet. We stopped by for a quick brunch in between kid soccer games and were seated after about a 5 – 10 minute wait (along with several others). Being escorted through the restaurant, it was evident that there were many vacant seats so, question 1 — why the wait? We were seated in a decent location at the edge of the restaurant so the annoyance was somewhat alleviated until, after we sat down at the table, we found our feet were stuck to the floor. Peek under the table to see syrup all over down there. We tried to ignore it but decided we should move tables. Again, they were fast to shift us over to a new station — that was nice of them. Our meals were brought and the waitress notices that they only gave half of the sandwich instead of a whole one so she goes to get that fixed. The new half was apparently freshly made on new bread which was unfortunate because it contrasted so starkly with the original half that was made on stale bread. Not edible. The waitress was very sweet and made sure to take it off of our check but, still. .. Top this off with a potty break before we take off to the next soccer game and the restroom has no paper towels OR toilet paper. The perfect ending to a rocky visit. This Shari’s needs some serious management help.
