I just got home from ordering at Freddy’s. That pic of the hamburger on their Facebook Page is a FRAUD. The burger was so small, I literally got 3 bites and it was gone. The burger is smaller than a MacDonald’s child’s burger. The fries were ice cold. I ordered a double and got a single. It was dry. the worse EVER. and Freddys knows it. The price of a TINYBURGER and ICECOLD grocery store(frozen shoestring) fires was $ 6.56. Do not WASTE your money on this Outfit. They have jumped on the«Shrink America’s Food, and go up on the Price» train. Shrinking the food and raising the price is an extreme increase in price.

From Chicago. Was hoping for a Chicago dog. All I can say is this place is NOTSERVING Chicago fogs! 1. No steamed poppy seed bun. They did dry toast that fell apart blah!!! 2. Hot dog sucked no flavor 3. A Chicago dig should have all the good stuff. There was no relish, and yellow mustard was in the bottom. I think. It was very sparse. 4. Picked spear was a slice of tasteless mush. 5. Got s watered down lemonade that tasted like it was from a powder.

Food was great as usual but the restaurant was trashed. Tables dirty, drink stand was sticky and the restrooms filthy. This is not the case normally. Must be the B team on tonight.

Food was just ok. I had the double Freddy and my wife had patty melt and we share a chill cheese fri. The reason I give a 2 star. It was hard to find a clean table to eat that. There was a row of booths 7 out of 8 was a dirty, trash can was full and no sign of any one was going to change out the bags. what a shame. We were going to get ice cream, but why bother.

We took our very first visit to Freddy’s tonight. The burgers are paper thin and the food seemed not all that flavorable. For some reason all of our food was barely warm. It seemed that they had put our order to the side and let it cool off before they called our number. I’m not sure what happened because there were enough employees working in the kitchen for everything to be at least a little hot. The fries would probably have been really good if they were hot. I posted a picture of the giant order of chili cheese fries that is claimed to be the ONLY size that can be ordered. Long story short we will not order meals here again just deserts. The custard and funnel cakes were amazing. I highly recommend the funnel cake because it reminds me so much of what I love about going to the fair in a tiny hamburger sized box. :).

Okay, speaking as someone from Chicago, this is not representative of a genuine Chicago Hot dog. The only true example of a Chicago hot dog that I have found in Texas is in San Antonio. R & B hot dogs. The mom who owns and runs this is a Chicago native with a real Chicago accent. The hot dogs there are theeeee genuine article!

You’ll find a better burger, but overall the place is a nice family friendly stop, especially if you are treating yourself to a custard sundae

I was curious about this place. From the external appearance, it reminded me of another steakburger joint which also sold shakes. The atmosphere is very friendly. I was welcomed from the employees behind the counter as soon as I entered the restaurant. I later discovered one of them was the regional manager. The menu could be a bit overwhelming with the various items beyond hamburgers. Fortunately, I knew that I wanted a hamburger, so I chose the Original Double with Cheese combo. I was led to believe onions, pickles and mustard was the standard condiments. Because the restaurant wasn’t busy, my order was delivered to me. The hamburger was very delicious. Unlike the trend of towering burgers, this was the right size. The meat was juicy but too much. I liked how the onions and mustard, but I wasn’t too fond of the pickles. After I finished most of the fries did I realize there was a special sauce for them. Clearly, they don’t need any additional flavoring. There were plenty of signage of their dessert offerings. While the other place touts shakes, this one differentiates itself by offering variety of sundaes. I look forward to trying the Chocolate Brownie Concrete another day.

Obviously Freddie’s stake n shake and culverts have a similar product. Having tried all 3 I can say easily The burgers at Freddie’s are the best. In fact I will say they are the best you are going to find around in regards to fast food. They do a masterful job with the burnt edges and you can really test the quality ground beef. In short they are really really. The fries are shoestring, don’t like the style. Onion rings are decent and the hot dogs look promising. The custard is lagging a little. They haven’t fully mastered the concrete, they are a little overly sweet and the toppings sometimes get ground up so small you can’t tell they are. Service is friendly and quick for made to order and you Can’t go wrong with the burgers and onion rings

I was not wowed by Freddy’s. My burger was disappointing. The meat was barely there! My patty was only a sliver of the burger. The custard is alright. Not as dense and creamy as I normally like it, but the topping made it a nice treat. The fries were the best part of my meal. Thin(which is a good thing for fries) and crispy.

Order of onion rings cost $ 2.29 for five burnt rings. Just horrible. Is adult management running the show or the high school staff? Won’t be back. Bad and a ripoff.

Though I prefer Five Guys burgers and fries, these are still very good. But what bumps Freddy is the custard. Today we had fish sandwiches and fries, crispy and delicious, and spent the course of the meal planning dessert. Something about this place reminds me of summers at the Jersey shore, and dessert at Friendly’s(maybe it’s their sign). Anyway, get dessert. I recommend a sundae. Sooo yummy!

The smallest and thinnest hamburgers on the planet. Take a very small piece of ground meat and then smash it on a grill until it is wafer thin /like deli meat. Then put it on a bun and sell it for $ 6 or $ 7. Hard to have any flavor — and when I got my double and saw how small it was I complained… and was told by the manager that they had the smallest patties in the industry. She actually admitted that … Then she said people either loved them or hated them. Guess you would have to count me as part of the latter. If you want value for your hard earned dollar — avoid this place. Remember — you have been WARNED!

Good burger and fries, right up there with Five Guys and In & Out. Excellent desserts and shakes. Clean, fast, priced right.

I love the matchstick cut fries! Seasoned just right, crispy, tasty goodness. Dipped in a chocolate malt milkshake, HEAVEN! The burgers are thin, but very tasty, and the hotdogs are served on New England style rolls, YUM! Try the fry sauce if you don’t dip in your shake like me, it’s tasty.

I honestly can’t tell that much difference between Freddy’s steakburgers and a Steak & Shake steakburger. Which is fine, as I do like the latter’s burgers. But overall I prefer to go to Freddy’s for a few key reasons, one of the main being location. This is close to me, there isn’t a S&S nearby. You have to drive over to the other side of Vista Ridge or all the way to Grapevine Mills to find one. Secondly, unlike S&S, Freddy’s doesn’t pretend to be a sit-down restaurant when it’s clearly fast food. Albeit good fast food. They don’t drag waiters, menus, tips and waiting-to-be-seated into the equation just to get a burger and fries like S&S does. Order and pay for your food, eat or take your food, and that’s all. It doesn’t have to be anymore complicated than that Steak and Shake. Third, the Fry Sauce. I don’t know what it is(similar to zesty sauce from other restaurants but not exactly), but it’s good, and ever since I’ve discovered it Ketchup has been in the dog house. I could have been putting this stuff on fries for years, but Ketchup has apparently been screening Freddy’s calls like some jealous girlfriend who knows I will fall in love with that orangy goodness should I ever manage to bathe my fries in it. I do wish they gave you a little more in the fry department though, probably my only criticism. They’re very small and thin, which is fine, but they don’t make up for it with larger portions. Lastly, unlike S&S, Freddy doesn’t fill my mailbox with coupons that are just the same as the menu price in-store. I don’t have much of a sweet tooth, so you might want to ask somebody else about their Frozen Custard. I’ve only had it once, a pumpkin pie seasonal thing they had, and it was pretty good. It tasted like pumpkin pie, so mission accomplished I guess.

My first steak burger and the Original steak burger was yummy. Pickle, onion, mustard top meat, with fries and tasty fry sauce is great. I was full but had to try the vanilla custard cone. My family tried the peanut butter cup and cookies and crème Concretes. Concrete= Mix of custard and deliciousness!

Hamburger was tasty but paper thin and over cooked… Fries were great and the hotdog was wonderful. The reason it only got two stars was there was not a condiment one or a napkin in my bag! Almost gave it three for the hotdog alone!

Freddie’s is my favorite place to go for a good olé fashioned hamburger. It has become a tradition for me and my dad to come here every Saturday for lunch so I visit on a weekly basis. Food is always cooked when you order it and is never pre-made. I absolutely devour their shoe string french fries and they go great with Freddie’s sauce! Obviously they have delicious custards, and I always get a large turtle sundae when I come. You can also get concretes and choose your own toppings to put in them. Staff is extremely friendly and cordial and will always offer to take baskets and trays away when you are finished with them. A refreshing take on fast food!

I love the Chicago Dog at Freddy’s. The burgers are just average. The patties are really thin. Definitely not Texas style. I like my patties to be at least 1⁄3 lb, preferable ½ lb. The chili cheese fries are delicious. I like them with lots of hot sauce. The frozen custard are very yummy. They have many different combos. Try them all.
