Great ambience, great coffee, and great people. Anytime I’m in Hickory, I make it a point of stopping in and hanging out for a while!

I visit Hickory a few times a year to see the in-laws and found this place. Probably one of the nicer coffee shops around. You don’t see many of these in DC. Great coffee and what I think stands out is the the staff who is extremely friendly. They have a ridiculous list of options to choose from when it comes to latte flavors. The artwork all over the walls is nice and they had a lot of books for kids which was handy when I brought my 6 year old along. This was my goto place for the few days I was in Hickory. I tried the chicken salad on croissant and also the egg and cheese on croissant. They were all good. This will be my goto coffee shop going forward. If I’m going to pay $ 4 – 5 for a latte then I’m definitely coming here over Starbucks.

Very nice local coffee shop. Good find on a cold, rainy day. Staff very nice and knowledgeable. Had the pumpkin, chai latte. They make their own pumpkin syrup and chai mix. Suggested by staff. Offered to fix me something else If I didn’t like. Tasted very good. It was nice, warm, cozy. Different seating areas, vignettes make it comfy for working, reading, relaxing.

What a charming little coffee shop in hickory North Carolina. Great tomato soup. Atmosphere was calm and relaxing. They have traditional café seating and they also have several couches and comfortable chairs to sit in. They have staged areas where folks can congregate and talk in a circle. They are in the downtown Hickory area. I really liked the tomato soup and cheese croissant. Bathroom was clean. Nice place to get a quick lunch bite.

I came for an iced coffee and stayed because this place is beautiful. The coffee is good(wish they had a cold brew), atmosphere is perfect when you need to hammer out some work on your own or have a casual conversation with a friend. The fact that they support local artists and the community(they allow you to pay whatever you can for soup, oatmeal, or an egg salad sandwich) is what will keep me coming back whenever I am in the area. Awesome place!

Real coffee shop and much more. Try their chicken salad sandwich and soup of the day. Huge coffee and tea selection for drinking there or for bulk purchase to take home. Read a book and buy some local art as well!

This place was eclectic and inviting. In addition to coffee and scones, muffins and cookies, hey have a nice selection of soups, salads and sandwiches. It was especially nice to sit and visit with my family, and enjoy relaxing, contemporary music at an appropriate volume :-0 That is a pleasure that I cannot experience at the modern chain coffee houses. It’s also noteworthy that they host a promote local poetry, too!

If your looking for a coffee house that has a vas knowledge on coffee beans from around the world look no further. Scott Owens and his staff are well educated on the coffee beans they carry . Taste. Full Beans is extremely clean and offer a verity of food products for breakfast and lunch. Mostly everything is made on premises . Very relaxing atmosphere surrounded by local artist’s art work that’s for sale. You will not be disappointed stopping by and trying a cup of Java.

I love this place!!! Stumbled upon it on the way back from the Oktoberfest, dont read anything into that :) decided we would try it the next am for coffee. Again thrilled to find a place open on Sunday. Its cozy and comfortable with a much larger space than you would think from the outside. Couches, tables, games, and artwork. I wanted to stay all day!!! Got a cappuccino and had a hard time deciding what I wanted to eat, after changing my mind 2 or 3 times, they were so friendly and patient. Great customer service!!! I decided on pumpkin bisque as it was a rainy chilly day. So glad I got it, it was rich and velvety tasted like fall in a bowl, with apples and cranberries on top!!! Good coffee too, they also serve pour over nice! and have a very extensive coffee menu. Its a family run business and a true coffee house, there is an art gallery and they have poetry readings, so cool! I know every time I go back to Hickory I’ll stop in!!! A really great place run by great people!!!

I stumbled across this coffee shop one morning and fell in love! The place is rather large with plenty of places to sit. The collection of both local and non-local art was amazing — I wandered around looking at it for a majority of my time there. I got a simple mocha latte and it was delicious. It wasn’t too sugary, like a lot of places nowadays. It actually tasted like coffee! I’m definitely going back for all of my coffee needs. 5 stars hands down!

I just happened upon Taste Full Beans while in the area. I spent an entire morning in this delightful coffeehouse. Scott, the owner, has created a nice environment for Coffee lovers like me. I love all the retro furniture and artwork. The antique chandelier is way cool. The coffees are excellent and everything I tasted was delicious from the scones, to the spinach quiche to the homemade roasted red pepper soup! Best of all is the genuine friendliness of Scott himself and his entire staff. Very attentive, helpful and knowledgeable on all things java(and tea, of course). I wish I lived closer to Hickory. This would be my go to coffeehouse. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Check it out!

Loved this place!!! The atmosphere was so homey! My boyfriend and I got tea instead if coffee. He had the Morrocan Mint green tea and I had the Mandarin green tea. Both were very good. As we waited in line we were able to admire the fresh scones and other pastries that came out of the oven. All the other customers were so friendly as well!

I’ve been longing for a real coffee shop in Hickory since moving back here from the Northwest in 2013. When this place changed owners in January 2014, my wishes came true. They brew a variety of great-tasting coffees and have a nice selection on their food menu. Best of all, the folks who run it have created an environment that is welcoming. They are friendly, have free wifi, offer plenty of seating, and have some interesting(eclectic!) artwork. It’s a place with all the quirks, character, and quality needed for a first-rate coffee shop.

I love this place and the folks who run it. They have a full range of coffees and teas, good lunch menu, and great smoothies. They also have monthly poetry reading and monthly art receptions — showcasing their gallery’s artist-of-the-month. It’s also great to support a local, independent business — especially one in the heart of downtown. An added bonus is that the proprietors are extremely community conscious and active in supporting local nonprofits. They hold an annual silent art auction every February with the proceeds split between three nonprofit.
