Who designed this parking lot??? If there is a drive thru line the entrance is blocked… the slowest service ever… and these granitas they are advertising… watered down flavored slushies… go on over to pelicans for your shaved ice… much better and half the price… stick to what you know starbucks and that is not shaved ice drinks… or in my case a cup of watered down expresso and you forgot the caramel drizzle… what a disappointment!

A good, average Starbucks! I don’t come here that often but when I do, I never have a bad experience but I also never have an amazing experience! The bathrooms are always… Alright. But the coffee is usually good. I haven’t had any food at this one, but I’m sure it’s just as good as any other location!

This location pulled off 3-stars only due to the fact their window peeps do such a great job. If you go inside, prepare to wait, even if it’s only you and another customer. The best description to offer regarding service inside vs. drive through: you could order 17 beverages @ the drive through at the exact same time I order a plain, black coffee and the 17 beverages will be ready before they manage my coffee. Just an observation…

I was snoozing in the back of a van when we pulled up to this Starbucks at about 7:30AM. What? Where are we? Cool. Most of the tables were already claimed with students and slackers on their laptops. Service was fast and the Mocha Latte was good. Love the bacon, egg and gouda breakfast sandwiches. Ordered a couple of pastries for later(croissant and pain au chocolat) and they heated them. Why? I guess it’s part of their La Boulange campaign, serving pastries warm and toasty. I think they should ask first if you want it warmed, because in my case I would have said«no thank you». Your average Starbucks.

I was surprised to not see Cappuccino listed on the board. Even the folks working there were surprised to find it not there. Weird ! The drinks came out fine.

I used to live in Hickory, so I knew of this location when I need my coffee fix while I’m visiting the city. I went through the drive thru around 2pm on a Sunday and there were at least 6 cars ahead of me. After sitting in line for 5 minutes straight without moving(which doesn’t seem like a lot of time, but it felt like it considering I had places to be) I left. A few hours later, after taking care of things I had to do, I came back hoping the line would be shorter or at least faster. I was wrong, but determined to have coffee. I sat in the line for a good 30 minutes before getting my order. Unfortunately, the coffee was not worth the waiting time. I am going to assume it was my mistake in ordering a triple grande instead of a triple venti, because my latte tasted off. The barista at the window was also cheerful, until she saw my irritated demeanor(two crying children in the backseat) and never apologized for the wait. She just acted irritated with me. Never going back to this place. It’s a shame because I am addicted to Starbucks.

Even after my last review, I have gone back a few times… they are about 50⁄50 with their performance at this location. Some days, some employees are on their game, while others visits, they just don’t get your order right. Over-all, it seems like a lot of employees with either disinterest in their jobs, or at times, just plain not caring what they’re serving to you. It’s appears to be something they’re enduring to get a paycheck.

Just moved here and the employees are super nice and they made my drink PERFECTLY the first few times. For some reason the quality has gone down slightly and they’ve messed up my drink a few times but they’ve always remade it and I’m willing to forgive cause when they get it right, oh man it is so right!

In town for a week on business and visited 2 times a morning for all 5 days. I go to a lot of Starbucks and this is easily one of the worst. The morning employees are more concerned with chatting amongst themselves than doing their jobs. The place is dirty as well. Bad management but there is nothing else nearby.

Always a good selection of sandwiches available. Courteous baristas and fast drive thru. WiFi connex could be stronger but there are usually enough seats unless its rush hour. Too bad outside seating has such an ugly, loud view.

When I ask for a skinny peppermint LATTE and stress the word latte when I am at @starbucks, it means I do not want mocha in it. Yet that just happened and my drink had mocha in it. Granted they did remake it, but if she would’ve just listened to me when I ordered, we could’ve avoided a wasted drink and wasted time. Not to mention that the overwhelming majority of the time the customer service is, at best, rude at the one on Lenoir Rhyne Blvd. I prefer my hometown location in Morganton at Ingle’s Café(too bad @starbucks won’t send them a scanner so I can use my rewards there).

Perfect Pit Stop off the freeway. I’d much rather get a Starbucks sandwich, like the whole grain English muffin with turkey bacon, than some greasy fast food junk. And don’t forget an enormous Orange Refresher(or, as I call them, Fancy Tang) for the road.

It’s the same Starbucks you’d walk into in any city in the country. Good coffee for a little more money than seems reasonable, but you’ll drink it, won’t you? That’s right, you’ll drink it. Drink it ALL. Good Coffee… goood…goood.

So it’s a corporate-owned and controlled Starbucks… menu is the same as any other Starbucks and I’ll not comment on that further. On the plus side, this location has a drive-thru window and is easily accessed via Interstate 40, so you can get your caffeine fix and quickly hit the road again. If you should venture inside, however, this location is relatively-new and the space inside has ample seating and tables and it generally does not get busy enough that you cannot grab a chair or table to suit your needs. Locals do not flock here like you see in larger metropolitan areas. On the negative, the staff generally seem rather unsure of themselves and this is not confidence-inspiring when I place an order that requires some customization. The fact that they used computer-printed stickers smashed onto the side of my drink cup to inform the barista is also a bit scary. Maybe I’ve gotten used to either hearing my order called out or having the barista mark it as I call it out and then recite it back to me. Not that my orders have been wrong, but I always have that lingering sense of, «What have we here?» as I pick up my order. Also, the table tops can sometimes be dirty here. I’m guessing this can occur with the drive-thru window business taking an extra worker’s efforts, but I do think that cleanliness could be improved with more frequent wipe downs of the surface areas. Still, the product is consistent and there is comfort in that. When in Hickory and espresso calls, I’m glad this location is easily available.

Ahhh… starbucks, what can I say? Your consistency is what keeps me coming back in every city that I visit. I do wish that you would offer the pressed coffee at more locations, but a boy can only dream…
