Java Journey

This is a highly unrecognized coffee shop. I would normally scold myself for missing out on my workout but I would not have found this place if I had not decide to take a pass and grab a chai tea instead.
Java Journey has it all! Free wifi, plenty of seats (couches included), caffeinated beverages, and a friendly staff. If you are sick of the same old scrambled environment of Starbucks, this cozy coffeehouse is the place to go to sip on coffee with your friends. I personally went there to get some work done but got caught up with some good conversation with their employees. One of the employees/​volunteers (this place is non-​profit) gave me a little tour of the shop. There are some pretty trendy looking art pieces hanging for sale, a sweet projector screen, and a small group area for church. Legit place.

Java Journey is a non-​profit coffee shop ministry that is a fully operational coffee shop. They use volunteers behind the counter. Besides having excellent coffee and beverages, the shop has a warm inviting atmosphere and a unique gift shop and gallery which supports local artists. The coffee shop’s ministry is to hurting and broken people. They give to a different charity each month. They have music events – secular and Christian– most every Friday night that are free plus other events on occasion. They also have a unique, home church style Sunday gathering on Sunday evenings. Many different groups and invidiuals use their facility for group meetings, Bible studies. The shop also rents out space after hours for a reasonable amount.
