Applebee’s

I’m not a huge Applebee’s fan but I was traveling thru the area and I decided to stop here for a bite. Plenty of parking.
The restaurants has two «tiers». Tables, some right by the glass windows, was the higher level and more tables and the bar was in the middle and lower level.
Our waitress was very nice and attentive.
The food was decent along I couldn’t finish what I ordered. I had the double entire special where you had your choice of two entrees for $ 20. You had about a dozen choices. I had the chicken tenders and a shrimp choice. Both were good and I had to put the leftovers in a to go container.
I was dining with a small group and what made our bill easy to split was the touchscreen pad that came with the table. Our order showed up so we could double check it and we also could have added something if we wanted to.
When it came time to pay we just passed the pad around and picked what we ordered and paid for it. The only downside was we couldn’t get seperate copies of individual bills.

Called them to make an order to go, was on hold for 10 minutes so I called back, ordered French fries and asked for a lot (pregnant cravings) when I got it, there was barely any in there, and they were cold and tasted stale. Not too happy.

Worst service ever! Came there 3 times and no one was there to serve us and we’ve waited 20 minutes for someone to take our orders and we have 2 small girls that are hungry and impatient. We should’ve walked out.

A good meal. Ok service. Pretty good service. Nothing much else to say. Always satisfied. Solid 8.3 out of 10

The service wasn’t great the burgers are pink even when requested well done. The walls use to be full of interesting things but now it’s kinda plane. The birthday singing is obnoxious. Wasn’t impressed at all. I’m the kinda person who won’t send my food back fearing someone will do something to it. Probably won’t be back.

Had hair on my salad, food was delivered to everyone except one– took forever for my shrimp to come. Glad I don’t need to come back to this Applebee’s location/​horrible service!

Went to Applebee’s tonight in Helena for the last time. I’ve had previous bad experiences with over 1 hour tickets, or showing up for take out food and it not being ready on time, or even after 30 minutes late (they took my payment that night but wouldn’t refund my money after making me wait an extra 30 minutes in store, never getting my food out before I left.). Tonight though everything coming out of the kitchen was wrong and in my opinion abusive to the wait staff. Four of the five things ordered were completely wrong. How you can undercook chicken strips is beyond me. Especially when it took 47 minutes to get to the table. A well done burger so under cooked that the bun was soaked with blood, 3 cheese chicken penne that was actually 1 cheese alfredo with no chicken. That along with the chicken strips were great to find out about when we got home. The biggest problem though is that it took 47 minutes to bring the wrong salad, 2 undercooked dishes, and 1 completely wrong order… Hey they got the kids corn dog and motza sticks right though. I guess It’s not all bad!
Never again for me. If I’m required to go I’ll simply just wait until the affair is over and get mcdonalds across the street. I don’t expect much from them, and they reward me with being able to perform basic tasks unlike applebee’s.

Haven’t been to this Applebee’s in a while and I was pleasantly surprised. The service was quick, food was fresh and well prepared.
I’m normally disappointed with both the food and the service at this Applebee’s but not this time. My husband and I ordered the wonton tacos app, the fiesta lime chicken, and the new shrimp and chicken. The food had great flavor and was fresh.
I did hear a customer complaining that her fries were over salted, which is something I have experienced here in the past. The waiter said they probably salted them but didn’t mix them so she got all the salty ones! Lol –what!!! Well you can’t please everyone.
I’m not sure what was different this time but they finally got it right for me. Still giving them 3 stars for past crummy service.

I’ve lived in Helena 2 years and eaten here a handful of times. Every time I say I’m not coming back, but I end up back because every other Applebee’s I’ve been to had been so much better.
How can a restaurant be so consistently bad and remain open? It’s beyond me, I’ve had bad service, cold food, warm drinks, flat beer, and once I even had a hair on my salad (and didn’t even get an apology). It’s unfortunate because everywhere else Applebee’s is a good place, fun, good food, happy staff and fast service, not here. This time I really will never go back.

I prefer to ask to be seated in Tiffany or Ryan’s section. They both are excellent servers and know their stuff. If they aren’t there, it’s hit or miss as to whether you get an experienced server or a newbie. I understand the new ones have to start sometime, but it would be nice if they knew a little more before being let out on their own to serve tables. Typically though, I end up in the section I prefer and things go absolutely well.
It’s like most Applebee’s, same menu, etc, which is probably why it’s out standby. Sometimes it can get quite loud. We try to go during the off-​times so we don’t end up being drowned out over the talking of other customers and the music playing. This is the preferred place to meet with family when we are in town.
I do wish they’d quit with the annoying birthday songs. Seriously, you gotta wonder how many people lie about that just to get a free dessert. Besides, the servers could do their actual job much better if they weren’t taking time outs to sing all the time. I might have given 4 stars if not for that.

I wish they would make new servers learn the menu before setting them free. Despite being told they don’t have clam chowder and never have, it showed up and was hot and tasty.

Way too noisy– don’t even hope for having a conversation while you’re there– service is fair– food looks nothing like what is pictured on the menu or on their TV commercials, and tastes even worse.

Bad service! Missing teeth and tattoos are the new uniforms. However, desserts were great!

I’ve eaten at alot of Applebees. I would consider it a favorite of mine, although this one was really bad. The service was crap and the food tasted bad, at one point our waitress walked over to our table didn’t say one word and just stared at us for a good minute, finally I gave her a look and she just walked away, talk about weird.
The salad tasted like dish liquid, my wife was sick all night after eating here.
