Enjoyed a deliciously fresh shrimp burrito, but given the harrowing experience just trying to enter the restaurant, I likely won’t return. It started with a clusterfuck of cars backing out of too-small spots all attempting to jockey position for the only entrance/exit. I found a spot in front of the seedy liquor store and meandered across the lot narrowly avoiding a stumbling patron of the noisy bar next door. Inside, the employees were pleasant, but I have no idea how this entire complex is up to code. And then at $ 14, I couldn’t understand the pricing structure; you pay less in Manhattan Beach.

This is the best Mexican seafood in town. The ceviche is the best and the aladiabla is my favorite… No one I mean no one makes the aladiabla like Chuy’s… The tostadas are so good and the green chile is the best… The sushi is good too… I tried the mango sushi and it was delicious!

Prices are about double what they should be for what you get. Not really sure how they’re still open.

Omg! These ladies here are crazy!!! Please know that if you are a good looking woman YOUWILLBEDISCRIMNATED! I had the worst experience there because of the THREECHAPARRITAS!!! I ordered and THEYGOTITWRONGANDTHEYWERESAYINGITSMYPROBLEMAND I HADTOPAYXTRAIF I WANTED A CHANGE!!! What kind of business are you running here! I say it’s because of my appearance because when I first ordered one of the CHAPARRITAS did not allow a male employee take my order(maybe her hubby) and once she took over, it was all heel from there! I had ordered over $ 50 of food and I honestly truly regret it. I left my food there and they kept my money!!! PLEASEBECAREFULTHEYARE A PACKOFWOLVES those three!!! I gave one star because I had no choice but my rating is –10

Chuy’s is a small hole in the wall restuarant. Their ceviche and cocteles are always on point. They always provide chips and agua chile salsa with every order. If you are taking out I recommend you call in advance and place your order. Chuy’s recently opened a second chain off Hawthorne Blvd near Imperial. I haven’t been to that location but I hear they also serve sushi

First of all parking is bad. I walked into the restaurant and it was super small. I wanted to place a take out order but everything was in Spanish. Alot of place now a days have both English and Spanish. I sort of knew what I wanted in Spanish because I’ve seen it before. I told her i would like fish cerviche. The lady was helpful. She showed me the menu and pointed to the item I wanted. I said, yes. The food is a but pricey. I paid $ 14.00 and a service fee of $ 1.00 which she automatically charge without my consent. My food was ready and bagged in less than 5 minutes. Once I arrived home I opened the bag and it was raw shrimp cerviche. Yikes. I didn’t order that. I decided to eat it because I was hungry and didn’t want to drive back to the restaurant. I didn’t enjoy it at all. The juice the raw cerviche was in was good. Other than that I will not be returning to this place, I will stick to the place down the street.

Love the food! And the portion size. They are not stingy with their seafood. They have the best shrimp over ever had, and the jalapeño rolls are just too good to pass on whenever I go.

Im a community where there has been a huge shift to big chain restaurants, it is great to still rely on small shops like this that have great food and service. Very impressed with their sushi selection at Mariscos El Chuy #2. A great mexican sushi fusion.

Hole in the wall type place. Nayarit style Mariscos. Favorite dish is the Campechana@$ 15 a pop. It’s a huge portion, won’t need much else considering they’ll give u an huge bag of home made tortilla chips. They’re house green sauce is very spicy and completely delicious.

I’ve been coming here for a loooooong time now and hands down the only place I eat ceviche from. It’s sooooo good. The flavors are just right. The salsa verde can be spicy some times but who doesnt like a little spice in their life. My boyfriend loves the aquachilies and we don’t go anywhere else. I saw that people said the ceviche is raw, alot of people make it different. I’ve gone to places where it’s cooked and I don’t like it. It just depends on how the person likes it. It is a little pricey but I don’t mind paying for delicious food. I recommend this place. Good family restaurant!

Why is this place still open??? Went in to order fish tacos $ 3! Oily, stale and tasteless! The chips were oily and the green salsa is so salty. I ordered Marlin tacos– these were filled with canned tuna and smothered with melted cheese. $ 11 down the drain! Dont bother stopping here!

This place is delicious. But change prices weekly. Goes from $ 13 to $ 17 if your lucky you’ll get the price on the menu.

I just wanna start off by saying, to those people complaining about their ceviche being«raw» you should have paid a little more attention to the picture they have posted in their menus and on Unilocal… Like clearly some people don’t want their shrimp cooked 100%… Anyways… Ur bad This place is so delicious, I love their shrimp ceviche. The spicy green sauce that goes with the nacho chips is just made so perfect. I wouldn’t come here with the intention of staying to eat at the restaurant because it’s really small and it’s always crowded. The people that work there are all family and it’s nice to see that when u walk in. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone that wants sea food.

We ordered the ceviche on Unilocal recommendation and came here realizing it wasn’t prepared right. The shrimp itself is still raw and grey, rather than white and opaque, which means the cook isn’t prepping the shrimp an hour or two ahead of time to let the acid soak into the shrimp enough to kill off the bacteria. That’s how you make ceviche! The dude serves ceviche on a platter of e-coli and hepatitis. The flavors are pretty good, though. The nerve of that guy to berate me and a friend with, «Don’t you understand food?» And yeah, holmes. This is the Chinese guy telling you how to make ceviche. That’s embarrassing.

Best hangover food in town! I’m a religious Mariscos eater and this place has THE best ceviche I’ve had. Literally a life saver. The salsa they give you on the side is literally to die for. Hands down the best Mariscos place around. It’s a little pricey but the quality of the food is well worth it, not to mention the portions are well served. Extremely satisfied every time I pick up food from here.
