The linguini with sausage is ok. I love the bread and smooth olive oil, however the real winner is the tortellini, it is straight out of northern Italy.

What a BEAUTIFUL night at a BEAUTIFUL restaurant. My party of 4 came to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Johanna was our waitress and we couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful experience. Three of us ordered the duck entrée and the third person ordered the scallop entrée. We all enjoyed our meals and raved about how fresh everything tasted. Two of us had the Caesar salads which were also tasty. The Unilocal family also raved about the mussels, so we decided to give them a try. I am a seafood connoisseur so I was excited to give them a try. They. Were. Delicious. I even got two of the people at the table who swear they don’t like mussels to try them and they raved about how tasty they were. They were sweet enough to bring the birthday guy a limoncello shot. It was a little too strong for him but it was a super sweet gesture! Don’t let the strip mall location fool you, this is a top notch restaurant with top notch service. We will DEFINITELY find our way back out here soon!

My friend and I stopped in today for lunch to celebrate his birthday! He works nearby and was craving Italian! The Wooden Table is a gorgeous spot with great contemporary décor. Had it been dinner time, we would have loved to get wine. But since we both had to go back to work, we had waters with our pasta. I ordered the Ricotta Cavatelli(Duck Confit Carbonara, Pancetta, Egg Yolk) which was so tasty and just the right portion for lunch. He ordered the Pappardelle(Venison Bolognese) which he loved. The waitress offered to give him a free dessert and recommended the Tres Leches Cake. Like all the reviews say, the cake is so delicious! It’s a huge portion too and together, we couldn’t finish it. Really generous of them especially since most restaurants don’t give away anything for birthdays anymore. Sadly, the restaurant was empty during our entire meal, but hopefully it gets more visitors for dinners and on weekends. Highly recommend! Definitely want to come back and try other menu items like the mussels and scallops.

Wow, who knew there could be such a gem at this location(also psyched there’s a Trader Joe’s next door!) I’ve made several attempts to be here so when we finally made it, my expectation had been built up so high. Good thing The Wooden Table met it! The dinner menu was simple but I’m happy that they present two different entrée sizes. I gotta say, the prices ain’t cheap, that’s why it behooves you to join their mailing list and get in on the 15% loyalty discount! I was glad to have hung on to the bread because the pastas turned out to be a little on the salty side but I sure enjoyed mopping up the sauces! Definitely loved the Parpadelle with venison Bolognese. At first I saw these super wide noodles and thought they’d used lasagna sheets. It wasn’t until a week later when I made lasagna at home using the boxed dry stuff that I realized their Parpadelle was probably fresh pasta! The Carbonara had an interesting flavor to it, I thought it tasted bitter, some folks might like it though… The Scallop dish was both pretty to look at and wonderful to eat! Don’t expect leftovers here, the portion sizes aren’t that huge but that’s what a classy place should be! We managed to make room for dessert and per next table’s recommendation, we got the lemon curd cake. Personally I’d love to lose the curd and have just the cake and eat it too! :-D Service was spot on, our waitress was very sweet and I promised her she’ll see us again!

One of my favorite restaurants! My taste buds were excited and looking forward to another wonderful meal! Calina and I came in about half an hour before our reservation and were immediately greeted by Robert, such a friendly and personable Host. We were able to enjoy a Walnut Manhattan cocktail before dinner. We used the Unilocal check in to get a BOGO for the cocktail. The Walnut Manhattan was so yummy and my taste buds were happy. We then ordered a bottle of red wine and proceeded to attack the delicious mussels – Yum, Yum, Yum. The broth is so tasty and could eat it as a soup! Also ordered the delicious Arugula salad(a must get each time we come in to dine). For the entrees we ordered the duck, the veal osso buco, the cod, the tortellini, and beef platters. We all tried each others entrees and once again, taste buds were jumping and happy! To end the meal we ordered the Tres Leches Cake and the Chocolate Cake with a round of complimentary Limoncello(made in-house and the best I have ever tasted). It was another wonderful dining experience and looking forward to the next one!
