I am puzzled by the bad reviews because I have always had very good meals at this Renzio’s. It is true, the place is not very exciting and it is a bit rundown, and the servers are not exactly full of personality, but I go there for the food, not with the expectation of having an unforgettable dining experience. I usually have the gyro platter and the food is always hot and fresh tasting. I think the tzatziki sauce is not the best in the world, but way above average, although as others have said, it can be runny sometimes. The pita bread is always warm and moist and delicious, and the gyro meat itself is quite good. Certainly, this is not a gourmet place but I think the food is tasty and satisfying. The prices are not cheap but I think they are reasonable. So I am happy to give this place my recommendation.

Food was decent enough, for fast greek food. Service left much to be desired. I got the impression that they didn’t really want our business, as if we were imposing. Kids meals were huge, a large plate of fries, meat and pita. Tziki sauce was bland. Overall, I might go back if we needed food and were in the area. For 4 kids and 2 adults, bill was about $ 50. Just water to drink.

This is a depressing location. Not only do the people here looked like caged animals but the tzatziki sauce looked like runny sour cream. I have been to a couple locations and I was excited to come to this one because it is closest to my home. I don’t think I’ll be back. The meat and the sauce were completely uninspiring and tasteless, much like our experience here. No smile or greeting. They just stared at us from behind the counter and asked what we wanted. *sigh* I hope it changes or I hope another restaurant moves in to serve the community.

Renzio’s is alright but nothing too special. We stopped here on a Friday night when we had a gyro fix and got ours to go. There weren’t too many people there and the place just looked run down and beat(surprise since it’s right across the street from Cherry Creek High School). The people working there were awkward, we ordered, they stared at us, we waited for the food all while they just stared at us. Taste wise, it was again, alright. The tsaziki was runny and it didn’t really wow me. $ 10 for a meal(gyro side and drink) seems a little excessive and if I weren’t so hungry, would have researched better places to go to instead of Renzio’s. This place isn’t anything special and I’d rather get something more authentic with more flavor(and sans awkward employees!)

This Renzio’s is a little run down looking inside, a little worn around the edges. The gyro’s were very tasty and they gave us extra sauce which was super nice of them. However, the gyro platter, which is one gyro plus fries and a drink, was $ 10. The onion rings were almost $ 4 and I got about 8 – 10 small rings. I’ve never understood why onion rings are so expensive. Onions are cheap and batter is cheap. Anyway, overall the food was pretty good, but the price was a turn off. It seems like eating out nowadays is getting way expensive for the amount of food you get. Sad. :-(

I am not sure what others are talking about, but the Gyros at Renzios are delicious. I personally gravitate toward the beef gyros rather than the chicken, but that is just me. I know fries were not created in Greece, but they aren’t french either. Go to Greece and I think you find something very similar to Renzios. Have some falafel and spanokopita also worth it.

Ok greek food, meat is yummy. French fries, though oh so un-greek, are damn tasty! If you need a quick gyro fix, go for it.

Eh, I think I’m done with Renzios. I never really have the urge to go here but yesterday I wanted a cheap lunch and had a coupon for Renzios from the DTC lunch hour book. I got a chicken gyro, fries, and a water… for $ 7.50, with my coupon? I thought coupons were supposed to make things cheap! This was the same price as the high schooler special, only they got a soda with theirs. The gyro was so-so: the chicken was overcooked, and the gyro barely had any sauce on it. The fries were delicious, but not worth $ 3! It would be one thing if this were a nicer restaurant with fantastic service, but since it’s not I’ll go elsewhere!

when i’m in greenwood village and dying for a gyro, this is where i head. it does the trick. not the best gyro i’ve ever had, not the cheapest lunch i’ve ever picked up, but it fills the void and i’ll head back.

Yes it is true, beef & chicken are your only options for a gyro at Renzio’s. But it’s obviously a main-streamed fast foodish Greek chain so I can’t say that I’m surprised really. It seems to have a Greek staple menu, spanokopita, gyros, Greek salad, falafel etc. I had a chicken gryo and it wasn’t super spectacular but the pita was tasty and overall I think this is a nice place to go when you are sick of only having lunch at sub/sandwich places. It was a welcome change and I’m sure I’ll return when I’m looking for a change from subs or Mexican in the DTC…
