You can’t beat the lunch buffet on mon– Fri and even for dinner or on the weekends. It’s a great deal and you get a huge variety of sushi, appetizers, and other foods included in the buffet. My family and friends love going here when in Greenville. My only problem is one of the waitresses. She didn’t speak English very well and was very rude. I had her about three to four times since first going there. She barely checked up on us and would be pushy for us to order. In most recent visits I’ve been lucky not to get her as our server. I’d very highly recommend this place, just be aware of that waitress.

The food is great and the prices are great too! Buy one get one special makes good sushi very affordable. Service is the only thing that can be slow and disappointing sometimes.

OMG this place rocks. They have an all you can eat menu with appetizers, soups, sushi, sashimi, and dessert. You check off all you want and then they bring it to you. The sushi was incredibly fresh and wonderful tasting. My favorites were any of the sushi that had the fish or something else on top and then the rice on the bottom. These were delicious. Also our waitress was so nice and the alcoholic drinks were excellent and very reasonable. This is not a buffet, you check off what you order and then they bring it to you. The crab rangoon was really good too as was the tempura vegetables. I will certainly return as for under $ 20 this place can not be beat.

My favorite spot for sushi in greenville! They’re all you can eat cannot be beat. Very reasonable prices and high quality sushi plus student discounts on Monday night make me come back all the time.

So the best Sushimi I’ve had in a while. I had Salmon and Tuna. The pieces were thick cut and fresh. I also had a ginger salad which was refreshing. I ate at the Sushi bar. The service was great! This will be my weekly sushi joint.

We do not live here any more but each time we visit, we make it a point to each lunch here. The«Buy 1 Get 1 Free» deal for sushi can’t be beat! The variety of sushi offered is fantastic and they also offer an «All You Can Eat» option that is fairly good as well for 11.95 at lunch.

3⁄5 of the times I have been here for sushi I have gotten sick. There is obviously a problem with the quality or the way they store their fish. I believe that is all that needs to be said. I will be choosing other sushi places from now on.

This place is college students heaven. All you can eat sushi?! If you’re like every other college student on a tight budget, or just like eating a ton, or just like sushi in general… This is your place. The cheaper all you can eat sushi option is just par, but the upgraded option with fried and more extravagant rolls, seems to be an upgrade in overall quality. But be careful, don’t order more than you can eat because they charge for uneaten pieces. Other than drinks, I would rarely get anything other than the endless sushi. I would order the ginger salad from time to time which was small but very good.

I used to like going to this place, but I don’t like it as much now as I used to. The service was a pretty slow even though it wasn’t busy while I was there. My waitress was very friendly though and she had good knowledge about the menu. I don’t eat sushi, so I wouldn’t know how it is. The people I go with say it’s really good. The fried rice and chicken are really good. The soup was also tasty. The atmosphere is nice. And it looks very clean.

All you can eat sushi… made to order! Even if I go for lunch, I always get the dinner deal because you get to add on Rainbow, Dragon, and Godzilla rolls! The sushi is great and the service is wonderful! Tempura, salad, and soup are also included with all you can eat sushi. I go to Japan Inn whenever I go back to ECU! It is definitely a go to place for a broke college kid trying to eat a lot of sushi!

Ate here several times. My personal favorite place in Greenville to eat sushi. They have chef selections buy one get one free which is what I normally go for. They also have a great selection of Japanese food like hibachi and even Thai food like pad Thai. Great place for a date if you are a sushi lover.

As always excellent sushi rolls. But what happened to the spring rolls. They are obviously frozen from a bag. They used to be awesome. Please bring back the good spring rolls japan inn! OK spoke with the owner after dinner. She maintains that the spring rolls are homemade. The don’t taste like it to me, you be the judge.

Absolutely love this place! My husband I go here for their sushi and it is fantastic. They offer«all you can eat» or buy one get one free for sushi rolls. It is my go to place if I am craving it. I have brought many people here and all of them agree that it is a fantastic place! Price is reasonable. I will continue to visit this place.

Solid stand by. Deserves better than three stars for how often we go here but we eat here more often because of the all you can eat sushi of which you can’t beat the price. Service is pretty good but not outstanding. I’d definitely recommend taking advantage of the all you can eat for lunch or dinner. The Dunn I’d more expensive but it does have more sushi and roll options. Love that they have the yellow, more natural ginger instead of the dyed pink stuff.

Ok sushi– every special roll has cream cheese in it, but you can get it without. Both soup and tea were lukewarm, but not hot. And service was ok. Decent spot for sushi in Greenville, NC.

The interior design, with the hardwood and mahogany tables, and individual rooms with tatami pads and paper doors, does resemble a Japanese inn quite a lot. First thing first, AYCE sushi is not all bad; you don’t have to sacrifice quality for quantity. I have had some great AYCE sushi around the country, Japan Inn can do it decently. HOWEVER, I wish they would use a little less panko padding all the rolls; it gives a good texture but personally I’m just not a fan. On another note, AYCE dinner let you choose from the chef special rolls. If you don’t like sushi that’s okay too, ask for the regular menu, and you can still have a feast choosing items like seaweed salad, beef tataki, any Hibachi or Teriyaki dishes(with your choice of meat or seafood or veggie), Noodles(udon soup or stir fried soba), Tempura and Katsu varieties. If you want a little taste of each, try to get the combination box meal.(P.S. my favorite appetizer here is the Sesame Cold Tofu, great before meal on a warm summer day!) I can’t attest for the cocktail and martini menu, but as long as they have Nigori(unfiltered sake) I can have my meal in peace.

I was skeptical because I don’t know what to expect of sushi in Greenville, but my friends and I were pleasantly surprised. First off, this place looks small from the outside but is quite huge on the inside. Maybe it’s because I’m used to dining in an urban city, but I was surprised to see that there was so much space between tables. Back home restaurants will try and serve as many people as the fire marshal will allow so they cram the tables in. Second, the atmosphere is very nice. It feels like an authentic Japanese restaurant. Along the back wall there are tables that are low to the ground with the seats sunken in, as if you are sitting on the floor and eating dinner. The menu is quite large. I had a really hard time picking what rolls I wanted. A lot of them are very similar to each other. The specialty rolls are buy one get one half off, which only motivated to get more crazy rolls(I usually do one crazy and one humble roll, ha). They also offer $ 5 martini specials when we went but none of them caught my eye. Service is really great here and the rolls are quite tasty. I couldn’t tell you what I ordered since all the names of the special rolls confuse me, but I can tell you that my friends and I all agreed the sushi tasted fresh and great. If I’m in Greenville again, I might come back.

Food was decent a little hard to find if you’re not familiar with the area. It wasnt crowded so it didn’t take long for the appetizer and meals to arrive. Service was really good… no complaints, I rated it as such because there wasn’t really anything bad or super extraordinary about the selection or atmosphere.
