I am extremely surprised that Hilton hasn’t yanked their name off of this place yet. I lived in Greenville for the last ten years before relocating to Richmond, VA so I never stayed at my home town Hilton. Thank God! This place is bad… Everything is damaged! All the furniture in the hotel room was chipped and broken. I though I just had a bad room on my first stay. On my third trip and third room I realized that it was the usual with the hotel. The breakfast is extremely disappointing was well. I was really looking forward to an omelet and a cooked to order breakfast but was greeted with a buffet all three times. Every piece and every kind of bread is stale, the eggs were nasty, bacon was limp… It’s was basically the Hampton in breakfast served in nicer dishes in a dimly lit area with silverware. Thank god for Hilton Honors free breakfast coupons, if I had to pay ten dollars to eat that cr@p I would be pissed!

Nearly every piece of furniture in my room was damaged extensively in some way. The rooms are just outdated in general. If I had to guess what was wrong I’d say poor or no management.

Overall a good hotel especially compared to other local options, but without much effort it could be excellent. Pricing was actually lower than Hampton Inn right next door which I found odd. Restaurant/bar area is better than most that are located in a hotel. The had a decent selection of food, beer, and wine. They fall short on details like servers standing around rather than clearing tables or checking on guests. The cord to my coffee maker in my room didn’t reach the outlet unless I put the coffee maker on the floor. Overall I would rate them as average which is disappointing they are so close to being excellent.

I have attended conferences in their banquet facilities many times. Service and food are usually good. Today’s experience for me was a little subpar from their usual excellence. Meal served without water to drink. Salad served without dressing, bread without butter… Requiring many prompts to get those little things delivered. Hope it is better next time.

I can’t believe this is a Hilton. Clean lobby and good breakfast in the restaurant.(And that’s the end of the«good» review.) My room was on the second floor. Older furnishings with a lop-sided couch, outdated desk chair, and mediocre TV(though its a flat screen — updated from another review). Internet worked but was slow. Huge window overlooking a parking lot and the building next door. Not that I was looking for a spectacular view anyway… Regardless, come nighttime there may as well have been a light on in the room because the curtains didn’t close well at all and the light from the parking lot poured in. I carry binder clips to close the middle portions — but the ends were the problem and I had to use the desk and a floor lamp to prop the ends of the curtains closed. Getting ready for bed, I encountered the largest cockroach I’ve ever seen. Frankly that was about the most unappealing thing about the stay. Overall, not the worst hotel I’ve ever been to, but I will certainly be checking out the newer Hampton Inn next time I stay in Greenville.

Use the hotel for a dinner and vendor convention, and had a good experience. It’s connected to The City Hotel and Bistro which is where we were booked by our company.

I have to stay here far too often as it’s the best place in greenville(which isn’t saying much). Compare this to other hilton’s, it’s not even close. Yes, it’s clean & comfortable, but think Holiday Inn w/a Hilton name slapped on it.(I believe it was a Holiday Inn not long ago). There’s a Hampton Inn being built next door which cannot open soon enough — hurry Hampton Inn, please! I’m not sure where these rave reviews are coming from other than perhaps moles planting good reviews, It’s really not that good.

Not a bad experience. I have to say, it was a shame that the restaurant is closed on Sunday nights, but with a Hooters within walking distance, it made up for that.(What can I say, I guess I’m just a pervwad for enjoying being around scantily clad citizens of the female persuasion). The fitness center was clean. All of the equipment was functional. The room was clean and well maintained. The bed was cozy. A flat panel TV would have been nice, but I didn’t watch much TV anyway. I did have problems getting the internet to work. I didn’t bother calling the tech support because I didn’t feel like going through the hassle, but I know enough about computers and networking to know that there was something wrong with it.(Computer geeks unite!) That said it was a solid 3.5star experience that I’m rounding up because I’m feeling generous. Considering the other hotel options in Greenville, this is probably your best bet. :)

After arguing for an hour and a half and driving up and down the same street I was ready to give up on the Hilton when all of a sudden it came into view and surprisingly I was far from disappointed. Upon entering the hotel I had to pee so I wasn’t able to take everything in. Later that night I was able to appreciate the piano lounge in the lobby and the glass corridor leading to the elevators. I entered our room and found it to be very spacious and clean. We ordered room service for lunch and found delivery was friendly and prompt. The food was delicious as well. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here and will visit this Hilton again next time I’m in Greensville.

One of the best Hilton’s I have ever stayed at. The room was so clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. They suggested restaurants and gave us directions to any where we wanted to go. The beds have Egyptian cotton sheets and the pillow OMG were lovely. I didn’t know Hilton was trying to step their game up. I will have to say they are doing a great job
