If I could give it zero stars I would. Waited an hour and got yelled at by the waitress. Left with no food but still the manager insisted we paid $ 15 for our sodas. I know from other locations the food is good but that’s all I got.

What a disappointment, my first visit to Cheddars. The Asian Salad sounded delicious. It arrived after 20 minutes, ice cold, stingy cold grilled tough chicken, cold wonton triangles. «Mixed Greens» included a lot of chopped cabbage and dried up julienne carrots. I have never considered cabbage or carrots«mixed greens» or been served such, and despise cabbage. On a schedule and no time to order something else so I picked through it. A manager-type showed up at the table and pretty much suggested I was a little dumb. I RARELY write reviews but — $ 15 for a less than mediocre salad — gotta post it.

Jasmine waited on us. She was awesome, sweet and a great server. We sat beside a party of 24 people, totally obnoxious and out of line. Cheddars needs to charge parties of 6 or more 18% gratuity. They tipped her nothing! They disrupted the restaurant. The food was great and if there was a gratuity charge that group wouldn’t have been there and the tables would have been full of people who want to dine with people who pay for a little class.

Dora and I had a delicious meal at Cheddar’s in Greenville. Ashley and Michael were a great waitress and waiter team. Will eat here again.

Took my mom here for her birthday lunch today… first my kid wanted fries with his mac and cheese and was rudely told that the only thing that came with it was garlic bread. I asked if he could have the fries instead of the soft drink that comes with the kids meal since he had already ordered a water and was told they could not substitute ANYTHING. Later towards the end of the meal I asked if they had any kind of special birthday desert or something and was told she could bring out cookies. I envisioned a big cookie on a plate with a candle or something, instead the waitress brings a tiny cookie in a wax paper bag and drops it on the table and walks off… wow… rude service and the rest of the food was mediocre at best. I had a montecristo sandwich that looked like it was made out of biscuit dough and then fried, gross…

The ambience seems high class, yet it’s a casual restaurant with a lot of food choices for good prices… Oh, and they taste good too. I’ve had the Buffalo chicken wrapper, the lemon pepper catfish, the veggie plate, cheese fries, onion rings, and several other dishes I can’t remember(as I tend to stick to what I like after a few different tries). The only thing I didn’t really like were the onion rings, but they’re presented beautifully so they look delicious. I typically go here when I’m running low on cash but still want a decent meal. If you can’t find something you like, you’re either too picky or not looking at the right menu.

The only place open. I gave it a star just for that. We came to eat an drink but decided just to drink because the menu wasn’t appetizing. My drink was horrible and it was iced down… I got a dirty martini –__-. There’s not suppose to be ice. The atmosphere is nice and that’s it.

This place is an enigma to me. I can’t imagine anyone that likes good food would want to eat here. There’s always tons of people there so it must appeal to somebody. The food always tastes bland and under seasoned to me. I’ve had to eat here several times because someone in my family insists on the whole family eating here for birthdays. I still haven’t figured out why.

To get to the point, the food is great. My family of 5 can eat for less that $ 50 and take home leftovers. I’ve never had a bad experience with the food. Except… We tipped cash and slashed out the tip line. When it posted on my account, the waitress gave herself and nice little tip. I called the next day and the manager said she would take care of it. I waited… Nothing. I called back a week later this lady says«if she said she would handle it, then she will handle it» that sometimes they have a lot of tickets and they mistakenly mix up tips. Never an apology or anything. well it’s been 1 month and nothing. No one will call me back and if I go in. Then there isn’t anyone available. I have my copy and my bank charge. They are rude and obviously don’t care to fix Jessica’s «mistake».

Fast service. huge portions. I had chicken fried steak and it was larger than my plate.. Breading and white gravy were excellent… Onion rings appetizer was both huge snd delicious..

Food was delicious! I had the catfish and broccoli casserole. Came with a house salad and an amazing honey buttered croissant! It was heaven! My new favorite place.

The food was good but the service was terrible. The waitress seemed to be untrained and/or incompetent. Not worth going.

don’t. even. This place is revolting, the size of the portions are unholy and quite frankly disgusting. Found a hair, not that that alone is a reason for a one star, but we received no apology, nothing was comped, and it took an additional 30 minutes for them to re-cool that meal. Wait staff is untrained and apathetic toward patrons.

Great food, great price, I have only had the chicken strips but the breading on those is absolutely out of amazing, you get plenty for your money. The honey mustard sauce that comes with is very good and I typically do not like honey mustard sauce, I also ordered a side of ranch and a side of Buffalo and all of those are good for dipping. For the side I skip the fries since I already have plenty breading on the chicken strips and I get a double helping of the coleslaw, I love coleslaw done right and I could eat a whole helping of just the coleslaw service is great as well good stuff…

The waiting time was not long at all. Excellent waitress and food. Nice selection of appetizers and meals. I’m obsessed with the cheddar dip. It’s an appetizer but be careful it’s also a stomach filler.

So disappointed that this particular franchise removed the grilled chicken sandwich that is still listed on the website. Now they have a chicken sandwich on Rosemary bread & it is awful! Please go back to the original sandwich management! Service is still good & no other issues except them removing an item that is still listed on website & the only reason I ate there.

Good prices drinks + Good food= Cheddars Every time I’ve been the service has been great. Sometimes during busy nights you might have to wait a bit but they’re reasonably priced and great food so it’s worth the wait. My favorite food would be ribs with broccoli cheese casserole and carrots. With a Maui margarita to sip on… or 2! I can come and enjoy a dinner with my family or sit at the bar and have drinks with my friends overall I rate 5 stars!

If there was a negative star review, I would probably rate it negative. Came here on a not busy lunch time, sat us right away… waited for about 30 minutes and no one ever came to get our orders. Tried to get the attention of one of the waitresses, she keeps on walking by us and completely IGNORED us. Nobody even tried to ask if we’ve been helped or not. For such a little town and this was the treatment we got… Sorry but I don’t think you’d make it to the big cities.

Cheddar’s advertises itself as a *~caSuAL caFe~* yet it’s not very casual. Sure, you can dress casually but everything else like the ambiance(I mean, ambiance at all at a casual café means it isn’t very casual, right?) and the interior design wasn’t very casual. It wasn’t much of a café either. Maybe it’s different for dinners? So don’t come here expecting a coffee shop where you can study to mellow background music and linger around for however long you want. It’s not that kind of a ~casual café~. It’s very much a restaurant. Besides that, though, everything was wonderful. It was nearly 7PM when we walked in for dinner and the place was nearly packed. It’s a lot bigger than you think. There’s a center room and two other dining areas that are separated from the center room by wooden beams and one side has a random but large fish tank. Regardless, we were seated right away in the center room. The lighting was also very random and actually kind of awkward. Is it supposed to be romantic? I don’t know. Our server came up to us almost as soon as we were seated and got us our waters. He came back to check on us a few minutes later(literally right when we had finished deciding on our entrees). We decided to start off with the three treat sampler appetizer. Random but relevant side note: you know what I love? I love when foods that are meant to be crispy are actually perfectly crispy. Each of the samples in that app were perfectly crisped. The bite-sized tater tot mozzarellas, the chicken strips, and the loaded potato skins were all just the right amount of flaky and crispy. I love hearing the sound of that crunch when you first bite in … And then in the bites that follow. The sauces also went perfectly with all of the samples so you could dip each in whatever sauce you wanted and it would still taste good. My only gripe is that I wish the potato skins had a littttle more potato in them. My bites were very cheddar cheesy. For my entrée, I got the chicken fried steak. Confusing name — I think they meant«country» fried steak? Because that’s what it was. So don’t confuse it with the country chicken fried chicken that’s listed under the«chicken» column. This chicken fried steak is under«favorites.» Also, the description says it comes with a side of green beans and mashed potatoes and Texas toast, but that’s changeable. The waiter actually asked me what two sides I wanted, but I was unprepared for that. He saw me hesitate and look confused so he immediately suggested HIS favorites: the mac and cheese, and the broccoli cheese casserole. Wow I was in for a surprise. The steak was HUGE. I mean, ginormous. The meat was good but I think it could’ve done better with a lot less breading(though I’ll give it to them because the breading on this was perfectly crisp too). The gravy rounded off the dish with just enough spice and flavor. I’m glad I took the waiter’s suggestions because the sides were an added bonus to my meal. The broccoli casserole was soooo good. My mac and cheese didn’t come with my meal so I had to wait for that, but when it came, I took a bite and was in Mac-heaven. The cheese for that was a little different in that it was less thick and less stringy, but it worked because the flavor was still there and the shells still stuck just enough to each other. The mac and cheese side was a lot smaller than my casserole side though(perhaps because it came out separately?) … But I don’t think I can even complain because the entire dish was huge. Huge portion of the steak with large servings of the sides — and all for under $ 10. I to-go’d nearly more than half the meal because it was so large. LONGSTORYSHORT: Come here if you want more bang for your buck, with good and quick service, in an awkward and slightly confusing setting.

Food is okay and prices are very reasonable. There are several things on the menu that are an odd combo and in my opinion won’t very satisfying, but they have a pretty broad menu so there’s something for everyone. I have been a few times and only once have had good service. The other times the staff seemed distracted and very slow. I do have to share on experience in particular. I went with a group of friends where we were celebrating one of the individual’s last day at work. The waitress we had was by far the worse waitress I’ve ever had in my entire life. She was rude, slow, snappy, and just unpleasant. I complained to the manager and the corporate office and my complaints were disregarded and not taken seriously. I swore to never go back again but did only bc my mom wanted to eat there. Luckily it was a better experience, but that one bad experience and the lack of their management and corporate office not caring about a complain detours me from eating here.

The food and atmosphere is great: casual but a class-step above the typical food chain. I enjoyed the combination plate options: steak & ribs? Yes, please. Other choices included steak & shrimp, ribs & shrimp, etc. I was tempted to try the fried-chicken steak(it’s fried steak, actually) but I had to have some ribs. They were very good. Throw in a number of options for sides(fries, veggies, etc) and you have a nice dinner ahead of you. I’m taking stars off because despite the friendly service there needs to be improved communication between the servers and the kitchen. My meal was brought out 15 minutes before the rest of my table, and a few people had sides mixed up.
