Texas Roadhouse

Must have been an off night. Steak came out before salad. Then the steak was way under cooked. Then the redo took forever and was way over cooked. Surprised the manager couldn’t tell that before bringing it out.

This is a popular place at dinner time. We rolled in just at 6pm before the full rush and got seated right away. The bad part is that the country music was way too loud for conversation, and actually was uncomfortable, and there was a chilly breeze from the air conditioner. Otherwise this was a great dinner. Our server, Alarie, recognized us from our last visit which had to be a couple of months ago. She teamed with other servers to be attentive to us. They help each other. It leads to superior service. We were quickly greeted, made to feel welcome, drinks got delivered, and the food arrived quickly. Orders were accurate. Food was perfectly cooked as ordered. We had rib eyes, chicken critters, ribs, bbq chicken, and chicken fried steak smothered in gravy. Excellent sides. Good salads. Refills without asking. Well-​made alcoholic drinks. Moderate prices. The manager stopped by to check on our satisfaction.
I will be back again. Maybe take some earplugs and a sweater.

The food was amazing! The customer service was amazing! Our server was Adam he was an exceptional server! I ordered the NY Strip it was cooked perfectly and the bread they offer was so good I got some to go. The butter that is served with the bread was unique and Of perfect sweetness. I love this place! Can’t wait to go back when I visit North Carolina again!!!

This is be best sirloin in Greenville. The staff is awesome. Every time we eat here a manger always comes to the table. Prices are very very good! Food is always perfect. You can tell this place is good because you always have to wait. We always use the call ahead seating.

Best steaks in Greenville by far. Service is excellent and sides are delicious. Drinks are reasonably priced and atmosphere is fun. It’s a bit loud in the restaurant and the only reason they don’t receive 5 stars.

Fantasic! Excellent food and great service. Staff was very fast and friendly. This location is by far an improvement over the Jacksonville, NC location. Steak arrived a perfect medium rare and the rolls just kept on coming! Good food and great prices! Highly recommend!

I ate here for the first time tonight. I recently bought a car from Barbour Hendrick Honda, and they sent me a gift card in the mail so I decided to give it a spin. This place was a pleasant surprise. The food was great and the service was excellent. I will definitely be revisiting.

I’m typically no fan of going to a franchise because they tend to offer mediocre food and service but this place was different!
I enjoyed everything about this place– their complimentary bread, super fresh salad, juicy filet, tender ribs, fries, all of it!
However there were minor glitches– my medium rare filet was a bit more cooked than I had hoped, the ribs had some dry parts that kind of took awhile to chew down, and the tables/​menus were sticky.
Nevertheless, everything was tasty and service was great!
Super friendly servers and a very comfortable atmosphere!

I love Texas Roadhouse but if you’re sitting at the bar on a Tuesday night, pray that you don’t get Tessie as your bartender. She was so rude, stuckup and disrespectful! She may have been in a bad mood for personal reasons but that is never a reason to take it out on 2 new customers who just walking into the place for the first time. We were Beyond respectful but she was instantly so mean. The other bartender Riley was so much more professional and pleasant.

There were many college students working there which was nice to see. The atmosphere was pleasant and was clean as well. The waitress I had was friendly and pretty attentive. The rolls were given to us immediately and all the food came out in a timely manner.
The rolls with the butter were delicious. The butter had a sweet taste to it. My mom and I did the 2 for $ 35 deal. For an appetizer we ordered the Cactus Blossom. It was huge but was tasty. I ordered the BBQ Chicken and Ribs. Like most of the reviews, the ribs were tasty and «fall off the bone» tender. The chicken was cooked extremely well also and the sweet BBQ sauce added extra flavor. For sides I ordered mixed veggies and green beans. Like everyone else has mentioned the sides came in small dishes and there wasn’t a whole lot. The green beans were particularly good. They had a salty taste to them. I felt the mixed veggies could’ve been cooked better. They were dry. I wished I had ordered two servings of green beans instead of the mixed veggies.
Overall I had a great experience. The meat was cooked well, the appetizer was tasty, and the atmosphere was inviting. I recommend this restaurant and location and would definitely come back (especially since they gave me a coupon for a free appetizer)!

Very good food, the staff is what sets this Texas Roadhouse apart from others. Our waitress was spot on and very helpful. When visiting family in this town we will definately be back.

We spent $ 100 for 3. Had 3 gigantic steak with sides and salads. Could not have had a better experience. Perhaps I am biased as I am from Chicago and used to spending $ 200 for an experience like this for 3. But nonetheless I think this place is well worth your dollar!

The best… we frequent often, but tonight was the best. Our waitress heard ribeye, not prime rib, which I requested. I didn’t want to complain and ate about half. My husband was highly satisfied with his food. I quietly asked the waitress at the end of service what she had heard from my order. When she realized her error, she quickly got a manager and they brought me a prime to go. It was not necessary as our meal and service had been good, but this made it superior! Will be back and hope we get her as a server again.

Great food, good wait staff, #1 line dancing champs out of all the 400+ Texas Roadhouse’s in the United States. Best apps IMO: fried pickles, cactus blossom, boneless chicken, rattlesnake bites, they have thick cut/​steak cheese fries. Best Entrées IMO: ribeye, sirloin tips… It’s so good I never tried anything else! They have amazing, fresh salads so don’t skip out or you’ll miss out!

Their steaks are delicious and very reasonably priced. I also enjoy their cactus blossom and their selection of drinks, but that is it. I’ve tried other things on the menu and haven’t been fully satisfied. Also it’s only open for dinner which is always a downer when you are looking for somewhere nice to sit down for lunch.

With all you can eat roasted peanuts and bread, I was almost full before my meal arrived. You get to pick your own steak on the way in. I had the cowboy sirloin with rice and sweet potato. My steak was so tender and tasty. My husband had ½ rack of BBQ ribs with fries and caesar salad. The barbecue was fall-​off-​the-​bone tender.
Cozy setting. I would say, the staff are the gem of the whole place. They were super friendly, all with beautiful smiles!!! I had the opportunity to see the waitresses strike out a line dance to a country song. Fun atmosphere…

Whenever I want steak, this is always the place I go. I have been to this Texas Roadhouse, as well as others, and they never disappoint. The steaks are always cooked the way I have ordered them, the sides are good. Food is always hot when it arrives. The environment is nice and laid back also.
The prices are also great and not over-​priced.
Specialty drinks are awesome. This is one of my favorite places to eat.

OK, I’m a Texan, and my first visit to a Texas Roadhouse took place in North Carolina… (though it is NOT a Texas based chain!!!) It was a bit surreal being greeted with «Welcome to Texas!» by my waitress… But I was pleasantly surprised. I went here for two reasons. I was staying at a nearby hotel for a «utility stop» during business travel, didn’t have a car, and the Texas Roadhouse was in easy walking distance of the Wingate in Greenville. That’s one reason. The other reason was that there was a Cracker Barrel even closer, but this wasn’t the Cracker Barrel.
My first thought was that this looked an awful lot like a clean Logan’s Roadhouse in so many ways. I don’t know which chain ripped the idea off from the other. I’ve had good experiences with Logans’ in Virginia, but the one near me in Round Rock, TX, is awful. This Texas Roadhouse, at least, was great.
I had a half-​slab of ribs which, along with the rolls & sides, was plenty. The ribs were great, as-​advertised fall-​off-​the-​bone tender, with an appealing sauce. The chili I had as a side was very good, as was the simple salad. Great sweet tea.
Service was wonderful, efficient, but never overbearing. I was very pleasantly surprised, and will likely try more of these in my travels and near home. I’ve stayed away in the past, as I’m not big on out of state places pretending they’re Texan, but these guys do it well.

We were hungry for some steaks and boy did we pick a great place for just that… Meat!
As you walk in to the hostess bar, you walk past a fridge where you can pick your own ribeye! As soon as we were seated, the waitress dropped a basket full of these rolls and cinnamon butter. Now these rolls are amazingly delicious!!! I couldn’t get enough!!! I physically had to stop myself because I would not been able to eat my actual dinner. They also had peanuts on the table where we could just throw the shells onto the floor.
The meat was really good too and they offered plenty of sides. I think it’s a typical chain restaurant type food but the rolls set them apart.
The girls working were nice and attentive so overall a good experience.

Food Quality: 4.5÷5 Fantastic steak. Surprisingly good steak for North Carolina, very impressed. Bread was buttery sweet delight. Portions were crazy big. If you have never been there before, let the waitress/​er know and they will bring you out a sampler of the sides. I gotta say, i wasn’t too impressed overall with them, but their main entrees were fantastic.
Service: ⁵⁄₅. Very attentive waitress even when we came, which was on a weeknight at the very end of the night. The manager even came back 2x to make sure our food was great. Never has that happened before. Either there was a problem earlier that night, or its policy and its a great policy, showed they really cared.
Décor: ⁴⁄₅ Exactly what you would expect from a restaurant named Texas Roadhouse, alot of wood, and friendly atmosphere. I love the fact that you can have as many peanuts as u want and just chuck them on the floor. Sucks if you were allergic to peanuts…
Return factor: ⁵⁄₅. Def will. Not often though, due to price.
