Management and staff went out of their way to accommodate our large party for a birthday party. The food was fresh and tasty and everyone was very helpful in making us feel comfortable. Thank you all for your hard work.

I read some of the reviews. And honestly this was the 3rd time I have come to this location. And it wasn’t too bad. Food was decent and service was ok. I will return. Our waiter was very polite and kept checking on us to bad I can’t remember his name.

DONOT come here if you don’t want fraudulent charges on your card and especially do no get a waiter named Theodore! He provided horrible service and on top of that, will overcharge you on your credit card. We already tipped him in cash despite his poor service, but I guess he decided to overcharge me on my cc by an extra $ 6. I know it’s not much but that fact that he charged me extra without my knowledge irritates me. It’s stealing! I got the original receipt and called the manager of this store. She was no help! In fact she wanted me to contact corporate to get this revolved and I had to provide all the necessary info including my statements. Not worth it but I am never going here again. I’ll contact Discover and file a dispute instead. Ridiculous. UPDATE: Had another fraudulent charge on the same card ever since this incident. Discover had to send me a new card and reimbursed me.

Went in today with two of my friends to watch a Football game in the bar area and we were definitely not please with the service. We barely were even noticed. Had to ask the waiter multiple times for chip refill and the waiter nearly never came by to ask if we wanted to refill our drinks. Very frustrating experience.

The location is a little weird(you’ll see when you find it!) But the restaurant itself is just fine. Nice comfortable décor and seating area. Friendly wait staff. Fresh hot chips and chipotle salsa as a starter, and the food is pretty Darned good. I had the mesquite grilled tacos, and they were delicious. Only complaint is there wasn’t any Pico de Gallo with it. Prices are very reasonable, and they have a limited selection of beer and wine.

Yesterday was girls day out. So after a full day of shopping we stopped in for a later(1:30) lunch. With three servers on and very few people in the restaurant you’d have thought we’d have had good service. Wrong. We hardly saw or waitress. We couldn’t find her to refill our chips. She forgot the hot sauce. She never asked if we wanted another drink. Then after taking the bill and my credit card from me, she handed them to someone else The food was good, but next time we will go somewhere else

I’m being generous with the 3 stars. We went for a late lunch on a Saturday and it was empty and quiet. Our waiter was an older Latin guy who was pleasant. The menu was full of choices. As a vegetarian I often don’t have choices beyond cheese enchiladas and chile rellenos. They had a vegetable quesadilla and what they called farmer’s market enchiladas with vegetables and cheese. I chose the vegetable fajitas and it wasn’t great but it was edible. It didn’t have any cheese but s bit of sour cream. It also came with salsa, beans and rice and some guacamole made with hard unripe avocados. I was happy to have a nice pile of vegetables. I skipped the carrots but the peppers, onions, zucchini, corn were good. My family members had the carnitas burrito and the cinco de mayo plate that had 1 of each of six or so items. They enjoyed their food. For that area I was happy to have something besides a green salad. Not rushing back and I’d never go to Chevy’s where I live but for suburbia where it is hard to avoid chains this wasn’t the worst option.

As a former General Manager of this Chevys and the Garden Hwy locations, I’m pretty strict on the standards. Tonight’s visit was outstanding, especially the service from our waiter, Conner. No, it’s not hole in the wall Mexican food. Its corporate chain Tex-Mex. But everything is made fresh, and when executed correctly, is delicious. Nice job!

Had a great dinner of watermelon margaritas and Baja Sampler. The best thing was the bacon-wrapped shrimp, as they were also encased in chiles inside the bacon and came with a sweet and spicy dipping sauce. The flavors were all very fresh and I could really taste every ingredient. Service was efficient and friendly. My only suggestion is to give coasters or cocktail napkins with the drinks, as my table was a wet mess from the condensation, and I only had one paper napkin, so I didn’t want to waste it. Overall, a great meal, though.

This is one of the older chevys i have been to. Layout The layout of the happy hour/bar area was kind of small. We got there around 4 pm and it wasn’t pack. Then when we got ready to leave it was jam packed. There were maybe 8 tables and then the bar tables. The dining area was mid size. The layout is kind of simple but not one of my fav chevy for sure. Food We had the chicken flautas. These are always on point. The flautas color was a deeper color, meaning the oil isn’t fresh since i work in the foodie industry. They did taste good tho. The dipping sauce was a bit thicker from what i remember. The mini salad looks good but the server took it off the table before i even got to it. The chicken nachos were my least favorite. The chips weren’t crisp. The cheese wasn’t even melted and it was hard. i do like how generous portion of the sour cream and guac. also it the temperature was more like warm then hot and fresh. The bacon wrap chicken skewer were good! it was tasty and just in bacon heaven lol. Drinks I had the watermelon margarita, and it wasn’t a feture drink for happy hour no more. Guess they change the menu around, i remember i use to pay only 3.50 for them and now maybe 7 bucks or more for one. I did got the strawberry margarita as well and that was good for 3.50 or maybe even 4 bucks. Service The service was good. He took care of us and filled out cups with water and even checked up on us for beer and margaritas. Fast pace service and try to get everything there asap. Overall The building is a bit older. The bathroom was kind of dirty, with stained walls. Also in the dining area there were flies and it won’t leave me a lone til i swipe my face like 10x lol. The food was okay. The drinks were good. Good waiter service and checking up on us. Had great friends to spend time in here. Lots of laughter and just a wonderful wed. Thanks for reading and have a good 4th of july weekend!

Great Salsa! I had the mix fajitas(carnitas, chicken, shrimp, rib eye) all was perfect! Not to mention next to the river so the location was great. Staffing was great! I never had to ask for a refill of salsa, that was awesome! Thanks.

Tonight I came in for mothers day dinner with the family. For mothers day we were pleased to see that the place was not too crowded. I have always loved coming here. Its a fun atmosphere and we came on the night of a birthday which was always fun because the staff sings and dances and all of the servers are in a good mood. The host greeted us at the door with a warm friendly smile and seated us. After that we were approached by a friendly server that took our drink order and quickly brought us a drink. We sat there and looked over our menu and made our decision. Our drinks went empty as we waited for our server to come back. When he came back he took our orders and refilled our drinks, and also brought us some chips and salsa. The salsa was good, but I have to say that the last time that I was here I remember them bringing out a more spicy version of the salsa and asking them for one that was a little less spicy. The server told me that they only made one type of salsa. That made it very clear that the place lacked consistency. The chips are always fresh there and delicious. The food took a little longer to come out. Our drinks went empty when we were waiting for the food and the server came by and brought more chips and salsa but no drinks. When the food came out was when he asked if we needed a refill on our drinks. He brought us our food and a fresh drink a few minute’s later. About half way through our meal, our drinks were empty again and the server did not come back to refill our cup until the end of the meal. The food actually tasted very good and fresh so I have to give my compliments to the kitchen staff for doing such a wonderful job. We all got fajitas which is sort of a tradition when we go there. We also get the chips and guacamole as an appetizer which is pretty awesome! When we wanted to leave we went ahead and put the money in the billfold and put it off to the side of the table. We waiter for the side of the table. We waited for our server to come by and grab the money and bring us some change, but after about 4 – 5 min we decided that he wasn’t going to come back for a few more minute’s so we took out the money that we were going to pay with and we all pitched in to put the exact amount of dollars and cents down. We made sure to leave some sort of a tip for the servers efforts and took off. This was a little disappointing because we felt a little abandoned by our server at certain points during our dining experience.

We Came in, ordered food, ate well, left full! Host was very welcoming & gave us options for seating and order menus for happy hour. Speedy service. not busy Sunday afternoon so it may have contributed to that. Happy hour drinks were done well. Food could use more work though. Don’t mind coming back here especially if we get speedy service again!

Took my employees here for some appetizers and drinks tonight and was a little disappointed in the service. The appetizers were pretty standard, kinda hard to mess those up. The pitchers of margaritas were also the exact same as any other chain restaurant. The service was what lacked. Our server, whether he was overwhelmed or not, definitely needed an attitude adjustment. He was definitely standoffish and seemed inconvenienced by our group’s presence. I won’t name him, but if I had to guess, he either had a bad evening or hated his job. I was embarrassed for him. Sorry Chevys, but school your servers on some customer service skills.

We had a surprise party there for my BF this last weekend. The waiter, a man … need to get the name … was pretty awful. We had to ASK for everything. We only got one round of chip refill for the entire table of 22 people BECAUSEWEASKED. He gave ONE jug of water for us to refill our own drinks. The problem is that the water ran out and the drinks weren’t being refilled! Then, the HEALTHHAZARD happened. That same waiter began cleaning tables. This wouldn’t be so bad except I saw him wringing out a dirty rag out of a tub of dirty water, wipe down the tables and THEN brought people their food. No hand-washing??? I can’t imagine the germs recirculating in that water … and on those rags … then to serve everyone? Including my party!!! The food isn’t that great. Little portions for a «side» of tomalito. Like a small, tiny ice-cream size scoop. The steak quesadillas have LITERALLY been halved in size. It used to be two tortillas then cut up, now it’s one tortilla folded over. Same big price. It was extremely greasy and fatty. I also never agree that you give someone the makings for fajitas, but cheese is extra. Update: Management was immediate to respond and rectify the situation. It was greatly appreciated.

We have eaten here a number of times over the last 15+ years but our last visit was a few years ago and the service was horrible and the food seemed overpriced for what you got compared to other places. Me and my wife decided to give it one more try on 2÷2÷2015 since we were nearby and most places take note of customer complaints and fix the problem. First clue should have been that on a Monday night at about 6:30 — 6:45PM, the place was virtually empty which we thought was odd. There were only about 6 tables/booths occupied. We were promptly greeted and shown to our booth and there we waited and waited and waited and waited. For almost 10 minutes we sat there just even hoping to be acknowledged by someone. A table was being served it’s food nearby and another group was seated at their table so we knew there were live people working there. Since I don’t believe we should have to flag someone down when I want to spend money at their restaurant, after 10 minutes, we got up and left which I have never done before in my life. It was laughable that the lady who seated us actually said on the way out«Thank for coming, have a nice evening». She was clueless that she had just seated us 10 minutes ago and we were now leaving because we were invisible to the staff or something. I’m not a huge Chevy’s fan anyways but as I said, it was close by and we were tired. That will be our last trip to this or any other Chevy’s. If the chain can’t improve it’s restaurants even with numerous complaints here and other review sites, they don’t deserve my money. We even complained on our last visit years ago and they sent us a gift card. Judging by the lack of customers during what should be a busy time(the place we ended up was packed), I’m betting this location won’t be around much longer which would be a good thing. If I could give a half star, I would. So from now on we’ll just head up Sunrise a bit further and go to El Tapatio. The food there is MUCH better anyways and service has always been great. Add to that it’s actually Mexican food, not the Americanized fodder Chevy’s makes. Adiós Chevy’s!

One word: KELSIE. She was amaaaaaazing. Hands down, probably one of the best servers I’ve had in a really long time. She was super friendly, helpful, and just all around great. She is the main reason this review is 3 stars and nothing lower. Some pros: –Happy Hour. Hello Midori Sour Margarita, blended please. –Portions. Huuuuuuge. –Crowd. Very low key and quiet for a Saturday nice which was nice cause we had a big party to accomodate. The biggest misstep here is the food which says a lot. It was super salty and the overall taste and mouthfeel just wasn’t there. Yes, I know this is a Chevy’s but I would still like some bang to my buck, please and thank you. Next time, definitely just gonna binge on chips and salsa and drinks

Service and food were good! The consensus for three out of four in my party was 4.5 stars. We all enjoyed our dinner, but I was the only one who disagreed because what I had for dinner was not worth the price. I had the Fresh Fish Tacos(Mahi Mahi). Although it was delicious, my rating for it was 3 stars because you get two small tacos with thick tortilla. It’s not worth $ 11.99 to me. Three fish tacos on the dish would probably be worth it with less rice and beans. I must add that my experience at this Chevy’s location is much better than the one located on Howe Ave which, I think, is now closed.

Worst service and food I’ve had in a long time and any where. I don’t know what’s happened with this Chevy’s or if it’s a trend happening in all locations. Let me explain why I give this place a 1 star. I came here for lunch with my colleagues and I expected it to be busy but it was pretty empty for 1 pm. Should have been a clue. I ordered a margarita and it was good except for maybe way too much salt around the rim, but no big. The waitress was quick to serve us our drinks and she was nice. The food: We ordered pretty quickly, not a long wait for her to take our orders. Three of us ordered a salad, the lunch size. My salad was a chicken fajita salad. It was a sad looking salad– about 2 small slices of the chicken and one pathetic slice of avocado. I live avocado so this was very disappointing. They didn’t skimp on avocado for just my salad but my colleagues also noticed the very little but of avocado in their salad too. There wasn’t much else that exciting about the salad so the 2 main ingredients — chicken and avocado was was what made the salad sound good, otherwise it was basically just lettuce with not much flavor. The service: After ordering our food service was really slow. It took a while to get our food even though the place had only 2 other tables with customers. In the end, we got our bills and it turned out that one of my colleagues did not get her credit card back. We inquired about it, the waitress went back to look for it, insisted she had returned it and she had no idea what happened to it. Everyone, staff and my colleagues helped to look around the restaurant and we had no luck finding it. Finally, the manager(who was on the phone the whole time, I think consulting with someone about what to do) asked for the card holder’s phone number and name and said she would call if the card turns up. That was it?! I made the comment that the least she could do is comp the meal, which the manager agreed and said it was going to show up as a credit later. I wasn’t satisfied and felt terrible about this whole experience. My colleague had to cancel her credit card right away. As soon as I left the restaurant I called Chevy’s customer service and reported the situation to them. In about 30mins I received a call from customer service letting me know they had found the credit card. Apparently the card was found under a table near where we were sitting. Hmmm, interesting that we missed that with all the eyes looking for it. How did that happen?! I won’t be returning here. The salsa is great but that’s it. Sorry Chevy’s. But thanks for finding the credit card.
